((For me and Andi only, do not post without permission)) Kanati walked softly through the snow that was covering the open feilds near his home. This was the first time he had ventured out on his own since he had found out Starshine was pregnant. His foals now would soon grow to adults at anytime and he only hoped that he had told them everything they needed to survive this world. He enjoyed the peaceful silence that matched the shinning snow that made a blanket over the land. He stood still for a moment this was a good time to catch up with the spirits it had been awhile since he has truly taken the time to listen to their whispers that clung to the winter's chilled wind, but like most of the land around Kanati the spirits were quite for the most part.

Though the spirits might be quiet, the dark stallion was very much alive. His coat seemed to change between black and a purple so dark it might as well have been black, and created a sharp contrast to the sparkling snow blanketing the land in all directions. Turning to look behind him at the pockets and dips in the snow that marked his path, a light smile graced his face and a sparkle came to the red eyes. Not everything, it seemed, was as perfect as nature would have you try to belive.
With an exhaling that left his breath hanging in the air for a few moments around his head, Godric lifed his head and surveyed the area around him, his eyes quickly picking out another dark contrast to the snow, though slightly less dark than himself. It was the first sign of life he'd seen in quite a while, and any company, even should it be hostile, was better than the fierce lonliness that threatened to rage within. Ducking his head, the stallion slowly made his way towards the other, continuing to disturb the perfect whiteblue blanket with his travels.

Kanati felt the wind change ever so slightly and he turned to see a black stallion heading his way. With a smile he looked over the on comming stallion. He was always kind to any stranger he met his family had become larger that way. Kanati could not bare to see anyone alone unless of course they wanted to be. The spirits seemed to hold no ill tidings towards this stallion so Kanati made his way to greet the stallion half way. Kanati's hoof steps were alittle different, they left only a slight mark on top of the snow blanket barly disturbing its beauty at all. "Greeting to you on this fine winter's day." Kanati's voice was deep and almost echoing a pleasant sound that rather complimented the silence of the area rather than shattering it.

"Greetings," came the reply with a voice that seemed it should almost belong to a mare rather than a stallion, though it resonated still with a timbre very masculine indeed. Knowing well that he was quite possibly intruding on this other's land, Godric knew enough to pay him the respect befiting such, though his manners were bred into him and his next actions would have changed little had it been otherwise, other circumstances. Extending a foreleg, the rest of his body moved back and into a bow, his muzzle dropping down as the long almost sunset-like mane swept the ground. Pausing a moment both to hold the pose, and to admire the swirls the hair left, Godric spoke once more. "Forgive me, sir, if I am indeed intruding where I should not tread."

Kanati grinned it wasnt to often he ran into one with such manners. Kanati returned the bow laughing lightly as he walked closer. "You can not intrude on something that is not mine. I beleave this land belongs to the spirits, they are the ones kind enough to let us live on it. You are as welcome here as me and my familiy as long as you bring no ill with with you that is. It is a pleasure to meet one with such manners though. I am Kanati, may I ask you, your name stallion?"

Straightening up with as much grace as his original bow, and a long practiced move that kept his mane from getting in his eyes, Godric smiled faintly. "Just.... Just call me God." He knew how egotistical it made him sound, but that was easier to explain away than to get giggled at because of the almost stuffy nature of his full name. It had once left him marked as an outsider, surrounded by most others with the more native names, but "God" was something most could relate to somehow.
Besides, some found it ammusing to be able to say they knew God personally, and had carried on conversations with him.

"God, eh?That is an interesting name you have, if you dont mind me saying." Oddly enough Kanati also had an interesting name. Named after the native god that his father followed as an elder. Kanati's stomach grumbled just lightly as hunger made its presence known. "You wouldnt be hungry would you? I know a place where the snow gently blankets the sweetest of grasses, if you would like to jurney there with me, God."

It took only a blink of an eye for his smile to widen a tad bit more as the other opted not to question -- a thankful smile. "I bear no ill will towards any, Lord Kanati, so you and your family are safe enough from me. Though, if you'll pardon the expression, you sound almost hungry enough to eat a horse." Winking slight, God tossed his head again, and gave another small bow, much more informal than his previous.
"And as I know little of this area, I'd gladly follow you if you're hungry. I've already nibbled on stuff, but I don't mind keeping you company. I've not much else to do today, sir."

Kanati laughed his deep voice echoing abit. "You need not be so formal with me God. Just call me Kanati I am not deserving of any other title. Oh this grass you will find so tempting you'll want to eat it even when you are full. I make my rest nearest to it for even in the winter time the grass stays delious. Perhaps after we eat you can meet my mate, two daughters, and my son if you so should wish." Kanati smiled before turning to head for the grass he spoke of.
