Let's see.... there's The Mellenium File(no idea who the author is though), and a whole series involving WW2. I'll have to ask my mom about that one.

Orson Scott Card has several books I'd recommend.
There's the "Memories of Earth" series. It's a 4-book science fiction series. The plot bears striking (and clearly intentional) resemblance to First and Second Nephi as well Alma. When I read it in High School I thought it was neat, though not the greatest ever. Now however, I'm a little leary of scriptures being turned into science fiction.
Card is also doing a "Women of Genesis" series that I'm liking very much. He takes a real human look at the lives of the leading women in Genesis, starting with Sarah. The books so far are "Sarah," "Rebekah," and "Rachel and Leah." The story of "Rachel and Leah" will be continued in a book not yet published called (so far) "The Wives of Israel."
Card's "Folk of the Fringe," a collection of short stories about Mormon life in post-apocalyptic Utah is interesting.
I love Card's "Saints." It's his entry into the Mormon historical novel genre and it's quite gripping. After I read the book I looked through the hymnal trying to find songs written by the main character. Later I found out that the main character was based on the woman who wrote "Oh My Father." Even my husband, who is a non-member and who doesn't like Card's writing style, thought the way Joseph Smith's death was handled was beautiful.
Sorry if I sound like a booster for the We Love Card Club but he's the only LDS fiction author I know of.
I read "Cage of Stars" too. The author isn't LDS and has some minor mistakes (like the father of the family taking a baby to be sealed to them when (a) since the parents were married in the Temple isn't necessary and (b) he goes to a temple that doesn't exist) and has difficulty speaking the "language" so to speak. By which I mean that the way she chooses to express some things in the story isn't exactly wrong, it's just not the way a "native speaker" would have put it. I was pleasantly surprised by the story-- to be honest, I hadn't expected a true, respectful treatment of religion and faith but that's what it is. I second Kula+D!amond's recommendation.

I would second the Orson Scott Card vote. But don't read .. umm.. actually. I can't remember the name. Something to do with a box. Like.. The Treasure Box or something. I'd have to look it up. But yeah. Slightly disturbing, actually.
Aaaannnnddd. I really like Blaine Yorgason. Blair Yorgason is good, too. I think at least one of their wifes have written books as well. I remember reading one and it was pretty good.
Otherwise... I can't think enough to remember anything to recommend. I'll get back to you on that.

The Great and the Terrible (a series) by Chris Stewart--first book is called The Brothers and takes place in the premortal world. Anything by Robert Farrell Smith

Chris Heimerdinger is pretty good. Read most of the Tennis Shoes series, although I haven't read the last two, since I didn't know they'd come out, actually. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LDS_fictionI haven't read that whole article, but what I did was pretty good. Be wary though, it IS Wikipedia, anyone can edit it however they wish. Theres a list of some authors down near the bottom in the section "Notable LDS fiction writers" or just click Here!

Anne Perry is LDS. She does a lot of mysteries (that have nothing to do that I can see with anything LDS) and she's done two fantasy-things that are heavily influenced by her take on the gospel. They weren't my favorite books but they were interesting.

I third the Orson Scott Card books. "Ender's Game" is really good. It's being made into a movie soon. And you may want to try reading "Seventh Son" if you like fantasy. I also second "The Work and the Glory" books. Very good. Oh, and "Charly" by Jack Weyland. My spelling's off, but that's okay.

Jack Weyland writes LDS fiction, and I'm yet to find a book of his that isn't good. Gerald N. Lund wrote more than just The Work and the Glory, although those are amazing, um, Anita Stansfield (or something like that) writes LDS fiction....I'll update with more later, I can't think strait right now.

One of my favorite LDS books I have read is Chasing Yesterday. It's one of three books in a series, but I can't remember what the series is called. But I do want to read those books! And I can't remember the authore of the book though, sorry.
