The Planet of Tatooine played it's greatest role in galactic affairs during the time of Jabba Deseljik Tiurre, also known as Jabbe The Hutt.

This Crimelord reigned over Tatooine for many long, crime-filled years, but ironically enough his very presence kept the worst of the worst elements at bay. Those who did break the law were either small time, the hardened professionals, or Jabba's own men.

Jabba's Palace is a hub of major criminal activity, but also a meeting place for those who don't wish to be found, or bothered. Many people willingly disappear into the darkened halls of this ancient B'Omarr Fortress.

The primary cities at this time are Mos Espa, Anchorhead and Mos Eisley. Mos Eisley is a younger city than the previous two, but it has become the primary city of this hot, sandy world.

A spaceport hub and a vile hive of scum and villainy, it is quite possibly the most dangerous place on the planet, aside from the Tusken-infested Jundland Wastes.

Those who come to Tatooine come for two reasons: To find riches, however it takes, or to disappear without a trace.

In recent years, however, the crime in Mos Eisley has reduced due to the presence of a Clone Trooper Garrison, which, in the none-too-distant future, will become the Imperial Garrison of the sector.

With the coming of the Republic, crime lessened. With the Empire's rise, it will return in force. However, the levels of corruption and graft will skyrocket, and smuggling will run rampant, even in public.

So Tatooine is a world of many facets and faces, both civilized and wild, where crimes take place and criminals are punished. The irony, of course, is that the Criminals and the Law are oft times indiscernable from each other...
