Ah, Remus's library...now there was a topic that had been forcefully chased from Ember's mind long ago. Surely, he'd then scolded himself, Remus would now have Nari to discuss his books with, and his kits to read to. He still yearned terribly to visit his friend, as much to see Remus as to see the bookroom itself...but he would not infringe upon the happy family. He would not chance making the mistake of showing up and being unwanted..and so, he'd smothered the entire idea of visiting so that while it was not quite forgotten, it was at least out of sight.

At the moment, Ember lay sprawled upon the floor with his Book, hunched protectively over it as if fearing that somebody was trying to read over his shoulder. It was plain to see that he was completely immersed in what he was reading, for he didn't even hear his Soul Brother (and said brother's daughter, though he had no reason to know her voice) enter.

Ember flailed in surprise and alarm as he found himself being nuzzled, squeaking softly and whirling around with wide eyes. As he took in Remus, however, a grin slowly crept onto his face, and discreetly closing his Book and sliding it a bit away, pounced at him and nuzzled back with enthusiasm. "Remus!" he cried merrily, ""I missed you! How have you been?"

Of course he noticed the younger female standing a bit off. At the moment, however. he was far too delighted in seeing his Soul Brother to pay her much attention.

Ember purred happily, beaming at his Soul Brother. It was rare for him to get to see Remus, nowadays..and he treasured every moment of those times he did. "I'm well enough..." he replied, grinning and nuzzling Remus again. He then turned his eyes on Lily, blinking and nodding his head politely. "Hullo," he greeted her, smiling amiably. "I don't believe I've had the pleasure of meeting you...M'Ember. N-nice to meet you."

"I, ah.." Ember murmured, cowering a bit at this outspoken girl. His ears flicked back, and he hunched his shoulders a bit, as though expecting to be struck. "I..didn't know if I was still welcome...if the invitation had expired.." He spoke directly to Remus, almost afraid of his daughter's judgement.''I...I d-didn't mean to offend...I'm sorry, Liliana...Remus." Had he messed things up between them..again?

Ember nuzzled Remus back, purring gratefully. "I didn't want to intrude upon your home, Remus..especially now that you have children to look after." He smiled meekly at Liliana, nodding his head in agreement. "Yes...if your father will have me, I will gladly come..whenever would be best for me to d-do so."

In all honesty, he still was thrilled by the thought of visiting Remus's home...and his library. He'd given up the hope of seeing such a thing...and now that the opportunity had re-presented itself, he felt excitement bloom within him.

"I missed you, Remus.." Ember murmured, smiling fondly at his Soul's Brother. "I would love to accompany you and Liliana home, if you would have me..but someday soon, I should bring Rhian, Elian, and Aria to properly introduce to you..as well, perhaps, as the kitlings, once they're born." He paused, unable to keep himself from grinning a bit with pride. "I have nowhere else to be, dear Soul's Brother. Lead on..."

"Aparate?" Ember asked curiously, perking his ears toward the girl. He recognized the term..but couldn't quite remember where it was from. "I, ah..don't think I can...'aparate'." That, at least, was a fair bet...he couldn't do lots of things.
