Such as botting. Hey. I've been thinking lately as to what is "ethical" and what is "not". hard work and honest pursuits of a desired thing might be considered ethical. but what if the desired thing were "un-ethical" o_O?! What are some instances where similar arguments have arose in your mind? confused

Just the other day. You were there, Anita. It's winter break: Is it my moral obligation to attend to yearbook matters? And then they just canceled, so I didn't have to make a decision at all.
But ethics is so completely grey in some matters. There will always be those standards that a person has to stick to: no thievery, no murder, no rape, etc. And then there are ethics that the person himself must set, such as the ethics of botting. Is botting unethical? According to my ethics, it is because I believe you should be able to use your own skills to make gold instead of relying on a program. However, according to other people, it might not be unethical because Gaia is just a website and the gold isn't real, so it technically doesn't hurt anyone. And those in the grey area who sort of flip-flop their ethics according to the situation: "I guess botting is okay because I really want this item."

I'm leaning towards Amy's viewpoint. I think that people that bot know it's wrong, but because they really want a certain item...they make themselves believe it's okay because they really want it.

Faded Soulfire Just the other day.
And those in the grey area who sort of flip-flop their ethics according to the situation: "I guess botting is okay because I really want this item." My philosophy of justification is that I am using my own skills. Let gaia be backed up with catching people who rely on other people's skills and people who sell gold for us dollars. Gaia is too occupied with thoes people. My flame sword and my pixie, Decided they where a good investement. Got them in around 31hours. To me they are not worth much, they are but an investment. Like all items like them, they will go up in price, even double. Then i will continue to quest until i get my 520k.
