Whats with everyone either hating Edward and loving Jacob or loving Edward and hating Jacob. Its really obnoxious, obviously Bella is going to end up with Edward so why can't people just deal with it. I really like both Edward and Jacob. There's nothing wrong with either of them!

I love both.

But I think I like Jacob more because I feel for him I guess.

Just gotta love Jake and Edward....Though I must say....I'm not aware of anyone who LOVES Jake and HATES Edward..Heh...strange...

As much as we give her a lot of credit.

I don't think she's the one writing the story anymore. At our book signing, she told us how she hated to have Edward leave, and that she didn't want him to go, but he wouldn't listen.

There comes a point that when you give a character so much life, that they start to write themselves.

And Stephenie has definitely given her characters life.

I'd be kind of annoyed if something happened to Edward AGAIN! She needs to spice things up a little, *shrugs*

I like Edward more probably because I feel like I know him more, since he is a main character in the book. If Jacob were introduced more at the beginning of the book I may like him "more" but oh well. [I have nothing against Jacob!] sweatdrop

You know, I liked Jacob just fine before he became an a**-err...werewolf. It's not that he's a werewolf, and it's not that I think he could come between Edward and Bella. I know he can't. And I predict that he'll find a nice girl for himself in the next book...

But I still hold a grudge because of how he treated Bella when he started hanging out with Sam. I like that he just wants to protect her from Edward. But he was such a freaking a** to her when she was already in a lot of pain, and just as it was being eased by his own kindness, he goes and messes everything up!

Grr, Jacob, grr!

I'm still pissed about Edward leaving too. Even if characters do sort of write themselves after the develop.

I loved Jacob, honestly he was becoming one of my favourite characters. He was so cute, happy go lucky, always kept that hope that Bella would like him the same way he liked her, and was an overall great character to fall in love with. And then some unfortuante events *cough* personality change into stereotypical angry a*****e wo hurt Bella even more when she's internally butchered enough as it is*cough* resulted in bitter hatred of him.

Seriously, my dislike of Jacob has nothing to do with him being a threat to Edward and Bella's relationship. I know he isn't (unless Edward happened to be killed by the Volturi after telling Bella he hated her and never wanted to see her again and she could go hang herself for all he cared -- after which I would detest Edward until I re-read Twilight again). I just don't like how Jacob's character changed so drastically.
