Gingersnap bounded along the path, pouncing at imaginary enemies along the way. "Come on 'Lypso, keep moving. Who knows what adventures lie ahead? Enemies to slay, kingdoms to save, ulaya to rescue!"Calypso rolled her eyes. "Pixie lets you out by yourself and you think you're going to save the world in a day? Try to calm down please. We might meet other ulaya and goodness knows what they'll think with you all wide-eyed and crazy.""I'm not crazy," Gingersnap replied, taking no offense. "You should lighten up and live a little. I'll probably have to protect you from whatever lies ahead. Who knows what we'll find?""Pixie would hardly have let us out by ourselves if there was danger around, silly and anyway..." she trailed off as she spotted a boldly striped ulaya up ahead.

 Kiki walks in the on the same path as Gingersnap and Calypso is. "What a beautiful day for a walk." She looks up for a quick second and sees someone. "Hello? Is anyone there?" She thought she seen things and contiunes walking.

"Gingersnap, stop bouncing around and look up ahead!" hissed Calypso.
Gingersnap, stopping in his tracks, looks along the path. "Ooh, a grown up ulaya! Ooh, look at the stripes! What should we do?" His eyes wider than ever, Gingersnap looked to his companion for advice.
Resisting the temptation to ask where his mock bravery had disappeared to, Calypso instead suggested "Well, we continue on, but show respect to your elders, use your manners and try not to say anything stupid." Setting the example, Calypso started off again, quietly in awe of the colourful adult ulaya.
The two youngsters set off again, soon approaching the adult ulaya.

Kiki sees to adorable little childern Ulaya. "Oh my god! how cute!" She says quitely to herself. She walks up to the two. "Hello. My name is Kiki. How are you today?" She gives them a warm smile.

Gingersnap, curious but unsure of himself, stares at the adult ulaya and waits for Calypso to say something.
"Hello. Pleased to meet you Kiki. My name is Calypso, and this is Gingersnap. We live with our caretaker Pixie, not far from here. We're on our first trip out by ourselves ready to explore the countryside and meet new friends."

Kiki thinks about when she was younger and explored by herself. "That sounds interesting... when I was younger I didn't have an brothers or sisters to go out exploring with. It was always lonly." Kiki frowns a little.

"Oh Gingersnap isn't my brother. We just happen to have the same caretaker. But he sure is as annoying as one sometimes," Calypso said jokingly, nudging Gingersnap in the ribs and causing him to stagger out from behind her.
Gingersnap, recovering his balance came back with "Huh, well you need someone to watch your back." He was feeling more at ease around this stripy adult ulaya. "So, um, do you live near here too?" he asked, hoping Calypso would not tell him he was being rude.

"Yes, I do. I think Puppy lives next down from Pixie." She looks at Gingersnap and Calypso. "Sooo do you two know where you're going?" She looks ahead and see the forest getting darker.

"Oh how nice to know one of our neighbours. And well, we don't really have a set idea of where to go. We just thought we'd explore the area," smiled Calypso.
Gathering more courage Gingersnap added "Yeah, who knows what might be ahead? We're out for an adventure."

"I should go with you two!" She pauses. "Its dangerous out there... and its dark! You need an adult by your side." She whipsers. "Besides. I'm lonly." She looks around her to see if there wasn't an ceatures around.

Calypso looked into the woods and realised Kiki was right. Despite the lovely sunshine out here on the path, it looked more like evening further into the trees. As for danger? Hmm, surely Pixie had never mentioned any danger. But maybe she didn't know all of the woods. Perhaps it would be best to follow the adult ulaya's advice and take her with them. And it would be nice to get to know their neighbour better after all. "Yes, yes, that would be lovely if you would walk along with us, thank you," she replied.
Full of his original bravado now, Gingersnap leapt around in anticipation. "Oh boy, our first adventure, and with a new friend too!" Not seeing Calypso shaking her head at him, he started off into the woods.

"No, Thank you for letting me come." She smiles as she looks at the two. "We should go.. I know a great place to get fresh water and food." She nods and turns at the dark deep forest.

Gingersnap's eyes lit up at the mention of food. This day out was getting better by the minute. Eager to be on his way, but not wanting to leave the "girls" behind, he ran a few circles around them every now and then.
Being the inquisitive creature that he was, he occasionally stopped to investigate some new flower or insect he hadn't encountered before.
Calypso brightened at the thought of food and water. Not that she was particularly hungry or anything, but she was feeling a bit thirsty and a place with food and water meant they might meet more ulaya.

"Come smile ulaya!" She walks to the waterfall and sees butterflies, birds, and colorful flowers. "Well... Here it is! The fruits are in the tree. So you have to climb or bump it." She giggles and shakes one of the trees and catches the fruit. She gives it to Calypso and shakes the tree again and catches two more fruits for her and Gingersnap.

"Mmm, yumm," said Calypso in between mouthfuls. "This is really tasty. What a lovely place to visit. I love the sound of the waterfall. And just look at the butterflies! I've never seen any that colour."
"Yeah, this is a cool place Kiki. Thanks for showing it to us. Do many ulaya come here or is it like a secret?" Gingersnap bounced slightly at the thought of being in a secret part of the woods. It made their day out seem more like a real adventure.
