Okay... It is pretty good from my friend's comments on it, but I want other people's comments too. It is something I have been working on (I think I have only three chapters... Can't remember this very second) for a while now. Also, there is a lot of violent things in here and kinda descriptive with the blood. I dont really have a name for it yet, but I am working on it! I am just putting up the prologue for now; I am still proof reading through most of the first chapter. Anyways, here it it:
Prologue
Ite stood in a graveyard, his pale grey eyes staring at a tomb. His father's tomb. A tear ran down his pale skin. The wind blew his blonde hair to the north, his red shirt and baggy blue shorts followed. A frown rested on his face.
It has been two years since I killed him, he thought. Why did I allow him to put that DNA in me? He lost his life because of me.
The fifteen year old stood there, silencing his mind. He watched the sun set, the sky turning blood red. A second tear ran down his face, this one was coming from his left eye, the one with a scar over it.
I should go home, he thought. Tonight is a full moon and I don't want something to bad to happen again. I must stay inside on full moons, even if I love the night.
He continued to stare at the tomb, then looked down at his bare feet. He turned away from the tomb, beginning to walk. Memories of his father flashed in his mind, more tears falling from his eyes.
~~~~~
His father was running around the lab, Ite stood in front of a desk that had chemicals on it. His father ran up to him, having a needle.
"Do you know what this is?" His father asked.
Ite shook his head slowly.
"This is the DNA of a dog. I have been testing it, but I need to test it on a human."
"Why don't you test it on me?" Ite asked his father. Ite was only thirteen at the time.
"Too risky. The last thing we want happening is you turning into a werewolf who is unstable."
"A werewolf? Werewolf DNA is what you have been working on? There isn't such thing. Is there?"
"I don't know. But I wonder if I put a dog's DNA in a human, if it would allow them to change into a werewolf on a full moon."
"But you just said you weren't sure werewolves were real. So how would you know if it would work or not? Just test it on me. You have no one else to test it, and I have nothing else to do," Ite begged. "Besides, who better to test it that a lab assistant?"
"I guess you are right. Tonight isn't a full moon, but tomorrow is. We will see what happens then."
Ite nodded. He reached out his arm and his father put the needle into Ite's arm. Then he injected the DNA into Ite.
"How do you feel?" Ite's father asked.
"The same," Ite replied.
"Hmm. Maybe it won't have any affects until tomorrow. Lets get home. It is getting late and your mother must be worried sick. Plus, it is a school night and you need some rest."
Ite agreed, walking out of the lab, his father following soon after, locking the doors.
~~~~~
Ite sighed, watching the sun continueing to sink lower, as if it were trying to hide in the hills. He was about half way home, and the sun was almost completely set. He began to run.
~~~~~
It was the next day, at sunset. Ite and his father were at the lab, waiting for the sun to vanish completely. His father looked at Ite, as if he knew something bad was going to happen.
"If something happens to me, then take care of your mom."
Ite nodded. "Nothing should happen though. And if something does, I should be able to control it."
His father sighed, as the sun's light vanished and the moon's appeared over Ite. Ite began to change when the moonlight hit him. "It is working! How do you feel?!"
Ite didn't answer except with groans of pain and agony. His body continued to change. His nose stretched out, giving him a dog-like nose. Fur began replacing his skin. His muscles began growing, eventually ripping the shirt he was wearing off of him completely. His eyes began to glow red and his legs began to look like those of a dog. When he was fully transformed, his ears were on top of his head. His fur was dark grey in color and the only thing about him that didn't change was his 5'0" height. Ite looked over at his father, his eyes continued to glow.
"We did it!" His father shouted. Ite backed up from the shouting, then began walking forward, his father backed into a wall.
I knew it. I knew he wouldn't control it, The father was thinking, as Ite lifted a claw high in the air. I failed him. I should have added things to make this more stable. Now, I will die.
Ite's father closed his eyes, only opening again as the claw went into his stomache. He coughed up blood, being pinned on the wall until Ite took his claw out. The father fell to the ground, dying quickly. Ite soon fell over on top of his father, knocked out, and changed back to normal, not waking until the next morning.
He saw the horror he had caused. His father, dead on the ground and dried blood rested on his hands. He stood up, seeing his shirt was missing and his shorts were torn slightly, but he wasn't worried about that now. He was worried that he had killed he own father. Ite began to run home to his mother, to tell her that her husband was dead.
~~~~~
Ite slammed the door of his house as he finally entered, barely escaping the moonlight. His mother came running to him. Her blonde hair flew behind her as she ran. She was wearing her pajamas, a pink shirt and pink shorts. Her pale skin looked dark from the lack of light in the house. Her pale grey eyes met Ite's.
"I was so worried that you would have stayed out, and take more lives!"
"No mom. Don't worry. I know what I am doing, and I think I might have the antidote for this. I worked on it all day and went to the graveyard to see dad again." Ite said, embracing his mother.
His mother nodded, crying in Ite's shoulders. "You gave yourself that scar after you killed your father, the day you told me. You cut yourself over the eye, hopping to bleed enough to die. You were so miserable."
"I know mom. You dont have to worry."
"I hope not. Go to bed. You need the energy for school tomorrow." Ite's mother told him. Ite nodded, running up the stairs, and into his room. He glanced around the dark room, only barely able to make out the objects in it. He fell onto his bed, and instantly fell asleep, not knowing what would happen the next day.
