our field show this year was amassing.
we did music from "Pirates of the Caribbean"
there was a big trombone soli too. cool
the only problem was that the other trombone couldest play it, so it was more of a ...solo... *gotta give her credit for trying though. we did sectionals for 3 hours after school at least 4 days in a row.*

there was a lot of dodging drums in my drill. especially when i had to fall out to conduct in the 2nd movement, and then fall back in within 6 counts. sweatdrop

oh my goodness, Pirats sounds beautifal in strings... *dies*
i'm going to eventualy learn Dubble Bass so i can do something with orchistra. ^_^

we played music from the first one though. it sounded grate.
Da' Moose (our sienior Drum Major) said that we might be playing pirats 2 if he can find an arangement for it that dident look to hard for the clarinets. ( stare freekin clarinets...)*jk. i love them*

I like Pirates better for strings myself. We (well, not myself in particular) played Pirates 1 the year after the band. Both were good, but thr orchestra just has a fuller, more complex sound... Double bass? Just bass to me I suppose.

yah...some of the music sounds realy pritty in strings. others are just intence. (BRASS!!!!) ^_^
fun stuff.

We played Pirates a few years ago... it sounded pretty good. But the Orchesta trumped us this year... it does sound very good on strings.

in my marching band all of the commands are in french,

and our director writes our music every year.
so we only have the first draft of our opener which is very far from the final draft.

but,
our marching band is like the best one i know of.
