God this place had gone to the bloody pits since he'd left. Well...not that it was any better when he had been around here, but that Alpha female now in charge, well, in his opinion was worse then that b***h Shenzi.
However, he wasn't about to let the thought of some female ruin his lunch. He had managed to snatch a lion cub from it's mother, it was still born and black as night and pretty scrawny. But any meat was good meat and newborn meat, especially lions, was the most tender you could get. A rare delicacy for the male.
Kimwondo lay against a large elephant skull, small cub between his paws before she tucked in. Bone crunching fangs digging in as he took small, bite size morsels...well...maybe smaller then that seeing the cub was quite small already. He wanted to savour this meal. And he wanted to make sure he enjoyed it HIMSELF! He didn't want anyone taking his hard earned scrap, it was hard enough stealing it away from the grieving mother.
At the thought of that however, a rather pleased, humoured cackle escaped his muzzle. Deep purple eye's twinkling in delight as the scene played out in his head, stalking after the crimson lioness was easy. But to pluck that cub from her mouth and watch her run after him patheticly! That had to be one of the best moments of his life...infact he thought it must've been the best, number one, most fun moment of his life. Could this day get any better?

A dust and sand coloured Hyena limped along, not really watching himself before he sniffed the air, catching the scent of blood.. And someone new? Hmmm. Fascinating. Carefully, the hyena slunk near, and sat, smirking.
"Well, atleast some of us can get a damn meal away from those lions."
He flashed a toothy grin, light green eyes glinting amusedly. He wasn't interested in the meal the other hyena had, but he DID so seem like intellegent company. Hopefully.

At the approach of the other male, he had to give a slight snarl in warning, a piece of meat clamped tightly in his jaws before he relaxed slightly. It was apparent this other male was not going to take his food...and good thing too. Kimwondo was old, but he was in his prime and could easily take this runt down a notch or two.
"Lions are the least of my worries nowadays." He said, ripping a few pieces of fur from the carcass.
Bloody fluffy cubs, he hated that they where always covered in the most annoying of fur. The kind that gets stuck in your gums, so, it was best to pluck the damn thing first in those hard to reach places.
"So what do I owe the displeasure of your company?"

The smell of fresh blood had wafted over the Graveyard, of course others were going to notice. This time, the scent caught the attention of Mabozi, a dusty gray hyena, the supposed prince of this place. He had been napping contently, as he had just returned from an arduous journey with his mother. Why she had dragged him out to see that terrifying lion, he'd never know. Of course, he didn't remember what had actually taken place. It seemed there was more than one 'hyena' dwelling in that seemingly empty head. But Mabozi was oblivious, as usual.
The pup-like adolescent took to the scent of this blood, following it as it beckoned. Lately, his mother hadn't hunted for him, and he didn't know why. It was a bummer. But, Mabozi didn't let that damper his spirits. The boy trotted with his head held high, goofy, stupid grin plastered on his young maw. It wasn't long before he came along a hyena tucking into his meal. Mabozi grinned super wide, trotting closer,
"Allo, allo! Who're tha'?"

"Call it curiousity. Glad to see SOMEONE gets the way things work." Angaza smirked. "Larger preying on the smaller of other species. Name's Angaza. And yours?"
No wit, no sarcasm. As far as Angaza saw it, this boy followed the food chain, and thus, he had more common sense than most the hyenas around, particularly Schatz, who seemed to follow him hunting outside the Graveyard. Another smell caught his ear, and both his ears, head, and tail pricked and he turned and grinned widely at Mabozi. He hadn't seen the boy in AGES, but the scent was familiar enough. Quickly, the hyena got to his three good legs and limped to the boy.
"Heeeey, kiddo. What's new with you, too?"
Angaza grinned. He liked Mabozi, even if he was getting to be bigger than he was. As odd and unintellegent as he acted, he was a good kid. Better than himself, and Angaza knew that.

The male tucked into his feast of cub, blood spraying a little as he hit an artery and snorted disdainfully. He wished it would stop doing that. As the tan hyena asked him a question and kept on jabbering about something or other, he looked over at the younger male and shook himself.
"Kimwondo, a pleasure I'm bloody sure." He said, portraying the usual grumpy old fart. The graveyard had been without one for so long.
However, as ANOTHER hyena entered the scene, he had to narrow his eyes just slightly. This boy smelt very familiar. A snarl rippled through him slightly, only muffled by the fact he now held his food possesively in his snout. But he didn't bother to answer the child and just let...Angaza, do it for him.

((Oh yah >> XD))
Tilting his head at the purple tinted hyena, Mabozi looked very immersed in the bloody meal he was tucking into. It was a familiar voice that snapped him out of his little trance. Head whipping around, the boy's emerald eyes landed right on an old friend.
"ZOOOO!"
With a stirr of energy, the hyena pounced over to Angaza, absolutely beaming in a big, goofy grin. This hyena just happened to be one of his favorites around. Where all the others seemed to ignore him, Angaza was much more accepting. And the story that he'd told Mabozi about the zoo, well, that'd stuck in his head to the day. In answer to the older male's question, he simply smiled some more. Every day was a good day in Mabozi's mind, there was no bringing him down.
A low snarl was rumbling through the air, causing Mabozi to perk up his ears. The male's brows furrowed as he stomped over to Kimwondo, looking like he had quite a mission in mind,
"No' nice!"

The older male lay there as he chomped happily at his bundle of fur, flesh and blood. What a wonderful combination of textures for his canine tongue to sample, it was a pity the presence of the younger male spoiled it. As he watched Mabozi move over he instantly stood up on his paw, muzzle wrinkling back slightly.
He was older and more experienced in fighting than this dizzy little twit, he could take him if need be. Atleast he thought he could?...could he? Yes...yes, he was certain he could. No doubt.
Kim' dropped his food between his forepaws and sniffed at the younger male with a disgruntled snort. But at the boy's words he couldn't help but let a cold hearted cackle out that echoed against the ancient skull he was laying against. However, he then stared at Mabozi.
"Kid, life ain't nice and neither is your mom." He said boldly.
