Some of you have been on a team, or been at a basketball camp, others might only be playing with their friends at the elementry school courts. But a major partof basketball is the fundamentals. I went from a horrible player, to an ok player, and not i'm a talented player in my area. Last year I improved a lot, the coachs taught us simple defence like shuffling, never crossing your feet, when your man is ont he total oposite side of the court where the basketball uis, where you should be, not gaurding him as if he was gonna get passed to for sure, but to keep an eye on both players. One thing you do, is always keep your eye on your man, and the man witht he ball, if you are in between these two seeing both you should be in good condition. Another is your lay-ups You should never miss your lay-ups. Just hit the backboard, don't try anything special, just get the point in. Another fundamental, is to always try to force your man out of bounds, block the path way he wants with half of your body, and try to get him in a corner.

Very good post. Fundamentals are very important in the game, and the perfect example is Tim Duncan of the Spurs.
