Machus frowned, watching Toushi with a distrustful look as he carefully removed the braids from his hair. He'd been given no chance to protect himself! That was his argument for anyone who asked. He'd fallen to the tag-team efforts of the striped cat and the energetic green dog who was now nowhere in sight. Sighing, he tilted his head back to look up at the bare branches of the tree overhead.
"Toushi, why am I here again?" the fox asked dryly, moving to stand. The benches bordering the path would make a better seat than the hard, half-frozen ground. "In a park in the MIDDLE of WINTER?"
Toushi wrinkled his nose in reply, pausing in his laps around a small ring in the path to seat himself on the armrest of Machus's bench. "<3 Because Kara said I can't go by myself and everyone else was busy?" he offered pleasantly, grabbing the other's paw and forcing them both to stand. "Come on!" he chimed, tugging at the other's hand before taking off down the path.
Machus sighed as he watched the male, moving to follow at a more casual place. He knew where Toushi was taking him. The river. If anything, the simple bit of nature was enough to quiet Toushi to some degree, so Machus didn't really mind being dragged around so badly. At least Toushi wasn't so loud then.
Fingers running through his hair, the fox cursed softly. Another braid?! Carefully unweaving it, he cursed softly. Where did they keep coming from!? It was like they multiplied or something!

Tsuji was lying in his bed trying to fall back asleep after his alarm clock had gone off, for some reason it was turned on and had gone off waking him up. He rolled over in his bed and had this strange feeling that he was being watched. He quickly opened his eyes and was startled at the sight of his brother.
"Shinji, what the hell?!" Tsuji yelled as he sat up quickly. Shinji stood by his twin's bedside smiling as if nothing was wrong. He had gotten in Tsuji's face and had stared at him to wake him up, he knew it would get him mad but did it anyway.
"Tsuji you promised!" Shinji stood up all the way and pouted slightly.
"What did I promise?" Tsuji asked his twin as he held his forehead with his right hand, resting his elbow on his bent leg.
"To take me to the river!" Shinji smiled again, Tsuji's eye's widened as he remembered the promise he had made the day before. He sighed and threw the covers off of himself.
"All right," Tsuji said to his happy go lucky brother," go get ready then." Shinji sqealed and hugged his twin before running out of his room into his own to get ready for the day.

Machus watched as the striped cat stopped at the edge of the frozen over water, leaning down and poking lightly at the surface. "Ne ne, Machus! Is it safe?" the cat called, looking over his shoulder at the fox before back to the frozen water.
Snorting, the dark-furred fox wasted no time in pressing his foot to the small of Toushi's back and pushing him forward. Watching the cat sprawl over the ice without mishap, then fight to regain control of his limbs over the slick surface, Machus smirked slowly. "It looks fine to me," he replied coolly, sitting on the crisp grass not far from the ice.
Toushi shot the other a betrayed glare, crossing his arms and seating himself on the cold surface. "But what if it wasn't?! I could have fallen in, you jerk!" he snapped, making a face. "Huh?! Then what?"
Machus listened with a slow smirk, twirling a blade of grass between two fingers. "Well then, we'd probably have to go home," he replied, obviously not against the idea. "To warm you up and get you a change of clothes, of course."

"C'mon Tsuji hurry up!" Shinji yelled behind him, he was walking quickly to the river but his slow walking brother prevented him from going too far.
"You can go on your own, I can catch up," Tsuji called up to Shinji walking casually, he wasn't in any hurry.
"No cause then you'll just leave and go home or something," Shinji stopped walking and waited for his brother.
"Shinji" Tsuji sighed, "just go, it's only a little ways ahead," Tsuji promised his brother that he would take him to the river, he'd never go back on it.
"Ok ok" Shinji sighed, he thought about it for a second and when it finally sunk in, he ran off ahead to the river. When he got close enough he saw to others, one by the river the other on top of the frozen river, but he didn't slow down, he was too excited. So Shinji kept on running to towards the river. "Watch out!" he yelled and when he first got on the ice he went down on his side and slid to the other bank. "Wooo! That was fun!" he smiled and looked back at the other two he didn't know yet.

Toushi's anger was fast forgotten when he heard the called warning, shifting to sit cross-legged as his hands fell to rest in his lap. His head turned and cobalt eyes followed the cat as he slid across to ice to the far bank, clearing a line along the river's surface of its faint dusting of snow. Suddenly ecstatic with the idea of a new friend, the striped cat slipped and slid to the other's side, smiling. "Hi!" he chimed happily. "My name's Toushi! What's yours?"
Machus blinked as the cat-boy ran past him and slid across the ice, tearing the blade of grass he held in half and letting the pieces fall to the ground. "Oh boy, another one," he muttered, massaging his temples with one hand before standing and moving away to sit at the base of a tree, though near enough to still easily keep an eye on Toushi and be in his sight.

Shinji looked up to see a new face that introduced himself as Toushi, he smiled an said," My name's Shinji!" Shinji stood up and held out his hand "nice to meet you Toushi! He smiled again.
Tsuji walked to the frozen bank and crossed his arms, "Shinji! Are you causing trouble?" He always assumed Shinji was causing trouble with his hyperactiveness and happy go lucky attitude.
Shinji looked over to see his twin yelling at him, "I'm not doing anything! I'm making a new friend though," he smiled.

Toushi smiled, accepting the offered hand. "And nice to meet you, Shinji!" he chimed pleasantly, seating himself near the other cat.
Machus plucked another blade of grass from the ground, looking to Tsuji before returning his gaze to the grass he held and splitting it. "Nope, he hasn't done anything troublesome yet," he remarked lightly.

Shinji smiled and sat back down, "So what are you here for Toushi?"
Tsuji looked down at Machus then sat under tree," I wouldn't put it past him."

Toushi smiled slowly, one hand idly doodling in the thin dusting of snow over the ice. "Why, simply to play on the ice, of course~" he chimed easily.
Machus shrugged one shoulder, plucking free another blade. "Aa, well it can be no worse than Toushi's antics."

Shinji stood up "that sounds like fun," he smiled," but I'd rather slide across." He ran as fast as he could and then slid down the river a bit.
Tsuji looked over at Machus, "either the same or worse..." he crossed his arms and closed his eyes.

Toushi laughed, standing and following after the other in a similar fashion. "Aa yes! I must agree with you there~"
Machus nodded softly, not tearing this blade but rather blowing it from his fingers and watching it drift on the light breeze.

Shinji stood on the side opposite of the two foxes and ran across and slid. "You guys should try this!" he smiled.
"There's no way in hell Shinji.... just enjoy yourself right now..." Tsuji replied back to him uninterested.

Watching in mild disapproval of the activity, Machus shook his head. "How in the hell can they have so much energy?" he muttered beneath his breath before pausing and offering Tsuji his hand. "Machus."
Toushi, watching the pair of foxes, rolled his eyes dramatically.

Tsuji looked at the hand offered to him and shook it briefly, "Tsuji." He crossed his arms again, "Shinji's always been like this for as long as I can remember...."
Shinji kept on sliding across and down the river, smiling and laughing the whole time not even bothering to look at his brother since he was told to enjoy himself.

Machus nodded in understanding, resting his chin in one hand as he watched the two cats. "Mm, maybe it's a feline thing?" he asked delicately, rolling his eyes.
Toushi too fell into the activity of enjoying himself. After all, Machus had someone else to talk to, so why worry about the fox?
