There is a place in the world of the Dragon Kyns that is indefinite. Where it is, is unknown. What it is, is changing all the time, and there's no proof it was any different before. How to get there? That's easy. It's right here.

This place doesn't change at random, though it can at will. It is shaped by imagination to provide the perfect setting for just about anything. Not only can it be set in place for one party, it can be totally different for another and the two shall never meet... unless they are required to.

These lands are often used by Kyns and riders when they need a place right now to interact, but there are a few rules required to keep it organized, lest the rock turn to water and drown us all.
~+ When you make your first post of a spontaneous roleplay, give a brief description of how you need the lands to look for you, in an identifiable colour.
-=-*Example: A grassy meadow with a rock in it.
~+ When posting, put coloured text in some corner of your post to identify where you are, and who you're roleplaying with. (This can be ignored if, at the time, only one place is being roleplayed in.)
-=-*Example: MR
~+ Do not anger the lands, for they have a mind of their own.
-=-*Example: "ur stupd 1 killd u teh gras udner u turns 2 lava URDEDEDNOW!" *hit bi liteinng*
~+ The lands appreciate when their settings are graced with literacy.
-=-*Example: Hey, I like socks.

~Permanent Residents~
(PM me to see about becoming a permanent resident here.)

Draconis)Wyrm's Kyn:
Draco Magnus
Veigh
Kragen
Drazio
Blue-Eyed Beast

Ganon Firenight's Kyn:
Schnurrbart
Luftwaffe

~Pockets of Reality~

There are some places in the Lands that cannot be changed or altered, as they have been reinforced into existence by many minds. One such place is the Vale, where rabbits and other herbivorous wild animals live. The Land can not create life, other than plant life. But it can make 'puppet' creatures for looks or other purposes.

-=~ The Vale
A place where such game animals as deer, moose, caribou (reindeer), elk, rabbits, mice, squirrels, turkeys, chickens, and others I forgot to mention reside in peace. Hunting is unallowed in this game sanctuary, and unnecessary, as animals are always wandering outside its bounds.

~Pockets of Control~

There are also some places in the land that can only be manipulated by one being. They are places that were created by one person for that one person's needs, and have spent so much time in it that their will over-rides the imagination of others in the Control area. So, if someone starts freaking out and conjures monsters in an area controlled by Draconis, she can dispel them. Or, for older areas controlled by Draconis, she's the only one who can change them. Areas that are malleable by others but can be over-rode by the owners are tagged with an M. Areas that are completely under the control of one person are tagged with a C.

-=~ The Arena {C}
Whenever Kyns need a place to spar, practice, or duel, there is the Arena in Draconomica. It's basically a big, football-sized, dirt-packed area with three-story, out-slanting cliffs on all sides. The cliffs themselves have natural formations for humans and dragons to sit and watch. Only Draconis can control this area, which is good, for it prevents cheating. To use this place, simply PM Draconis and tell her for what purpose; she can summon monsters to defeat and test your strength, or arbitrate in a fight.
-=~ Magnus's Land {M}
"A vast country of coniferous forest, mountain ranges, lakes, some snow, and hardy game animals such as moose, white-tailed deer, and snowshoe hares."
-=~ Veigh's World {M}
"At first, this world is like the normal land, except constantly overcast with lightning flicking from cloud layer to cloud layer, without sound. But farther in, it changes without notice. There's these strange rivers to cross every so often. One was of lava. One was of, I'm pretty sure, blood. And there's this strange smooth black river which I don't want to touch. After that one, it looks like a Doom level on the Hell difficulty. I think I even saw the hanging bunny! Don't know what it looks like past that, don't want to know." {There are five rivers to get past to reach the center. She only mentions four, because the last one is the real test. Usually the monsterlands around her mountain are to keep out unwanted visitors, which means all visitors, but their reaction to the last river tells her about their true personality. If you can get past that, you are rewarded with an obsidian mountain, and within the cone of which there is a glass-clear lake and diamond shore. Above the storm of the monsters is punctuated by a giant eye, through which iridescent light pours. Yay! The rivers are, water, lava, blood, black nothing, and a clear nothing.)
-=~ Kragen's Castle {M}
"His land is somewhat peaceful, and feels like a summer night. It's always night. There seems to be an abundance of gargoyle statues and bats, especially around his castle. He has an abundance of mango and peach trees, everywhere, to feed the fruitbats that make up most of the bat population."
-=~ Drazio's Gardens {M}
"Of course, it's always raining. Or spitting, showering, flurrying, snowing, hailing, sleeting, fogging, misting... He makes gardens out of the downhill water, so of course the entire land is basically hills and rivers, cultivated on a large scale with his imagination and sculpted by claw on a smaller scale. Lots of plants, koi and fish ponds (the koi are puppet fish, the others are real; he has to eat, right?), flowers, waterfalls, and the like. It's really pretty."
-=~ Blue-Eyed Beast's Mountain {M}
"It's small compared to the world-sized homes of the other Kyns. It's just a mountain and a valley, glacier melt-water forming a river that ends in a great lake. There are plenty of fish in the water (Catfish, greengills, bass), and goats, both puppet and real, roam the rough terrain above. It's always like a pleasant summer day, melting into a calm but oddly sad twilight, to a peaceful starry night, then through twilight and into day again. The fish, anyone can have, if they're hungery; The goats, though, are off-limits."
-=~ Neu Deutschland {M}
An amalgamation of all the best places in Bavaria, the control of this place is shared by two brothers from different mothers; Luftwaffe and Schnurrbart. This is the first place to make use of the puppet aspect of Draconomica to create sentient, 'living' humans to populate the quaint towns beneath the gorgeous sky and fluffy clouds. Off in the distance are majestic mountains, and the area within includes München, Bad Aibling, the Chimsee, the Tatzlworm waterfall, Wendelstein mountain near Bad Aibling, and the Zugspitz. In the Bavarian Alps resides the castle that Lord Luftwaffe and Lord Schnurrbart rule over their land from, Neuschwanstein.

Meadow, with Draconis

Ganon frowned, sitting astride Hadus' back. His First was sweeping gently down toward the ground and finally stopped. Ganon slid off and looked around. "Shade? Shade, where the floody buck are you?" A moment later, a dalmation-spotted Gargoyle flew down beside them, crooning.

She looked around at the very strange world, murmuring, "Where the floody buck are we?" Her Rider scratched the back of his neck as he turned.

"Well, uh... it's, um, a meadow. With a big rock in it, see? And a river over there--"

"No, Lord," Hadus shook his head. "I saw this meadow from above, there was no riv-- there's a river there. But I know there wasn't one earlier!"

"Maybe you're getting blind in your old age!" Shade teased, and then she held her head when Hadus smacked it with a front claw.

"Shut up, Shade. There-- there! Did you see that? That big oak wasn't over there earlier!" Ganon spun.

"... Holy crap, you're right. What is this place?"

From behind a large cairn steps Draconis, resplendent in her... mantis mask. "Oh, hey! You're Ganon, right? Sorry, I don't know your names..." This last was directed to the dragons in Ganon's company. "Ah, I'm Draconis. I found this place, and it's really cool! Usually I just use it to play out stories, and my dragons made their homes here, but you can do whatever."

She looked around kind of awkwardly, then back to Ganon. "It listens to your thoughts," Draconis explained. "Not like your deep thoughts, just the images. I could imagine a big mountain that looked like a gargoyle..." The ground began to rumble, and in the far distance the horizon was broken by a hunched dragon shape. "But I think you get the idea, right? So, what brings you here?"

Shade giggled, bounding over and rearing up to wave. "I'm Shade! We were here looking for a weapon Ganon dropped while flying." Ganon grumbled and Hadus stepped forward. "I am Hadus, the Prince of Ganon's Flight. Have you seen a halberd sticking out of the ground anywhere here? It has a long black shaft, with a small axe and spearhead at the end. It fell right over this area-- do you think we could ask the land to find it for us?"

Ganon paused and finally approached to join his Kyn. "Are you wearing a bug mask?"

The bug-lady bowed to each dragon as they gave their names, and smiled, though it is unlikely anyone noticed. Draconis gave a little chucklesnort at Ganon's question, and sheepishly admitted, "Well, yeah... A friend gave it to me a while back. I also had a bug net so I thought it would be kind of ironic to wear both at the same time, right?" She stopped, and thought about what she just said.

"Heh. Wear a bug net... Oh, anyway. Yes, a halberd? Haven't seen one. But I could imagine it being over there..." She pointed behind Ganon to wear the said black weapon was lying in the grass. "But that's where things get confusing. I don't know if that's your weapon, or a recreation the lands made from our joint minds. It's real enough, anyway. You can take it if it's satisfactory; nothing ever goes away. See that gargoyle mountain, over there? Even if I make it gone, it's not gone, it's still there for someone else to find. I rather like this place."

After her little monologue, she stood up straight and breathed deep the air. "I found this place first, so my mind's been influencing it more than anyone else's." Draconis stopped, and looked at Ganon. In a less awkward way than before, she told him, "I fancy myself a keeper of this land, as I live here. Don't abuse the power your mind has, or I'll have to do something. And I'm kinda lazy, so I don't want to do something."

Ganon blinked and spun, then ran over to the halberd on the ground. He lifted it up and frowned, then slung it across its back. "It's the right balance. Thanks. So do you have a Flight? I'm sure a lot of the others in my Flight would love to come visit. I have about twelve, I think. Hard to keep track of them sometimes."

((Gack! I haven't roleplayed in a while, and I'm quite rusty. Did you see that typo in my last post? I just did. Why do I keep doing that!? [/rhetoric]))

Draconis nodded, glancing at the mountain again before turning the opposite direction. The horizon was split in four ways, a quite unnatural sight. Where the mountain used to be, that quarter of the sky was just as normal and sunny as it was in the meadow, though the wind was cold. Opposite was a strange overcast haze through which lightning played between the layers of cloud. To the 'West', if the cold quarter was 'North' and the lightning was 'South', it was raining big fat drops of warm water. To the 'East' was night.

The girl in the bug get-up pointed to each cardinal points in turn, turning like a clock. "That way is Draco Magnus's little world. When we got here, it was actually he who discovered that the land is affected by our thinking. He made whole coniferous forests and mountain ranges and stuff. I guess the spirit of Canada is in his blood, though he's never been. Oh, and there, is Kragen's land. It's never day there. You think he takes his cape a little too seriously. He's shy, but plenty friendly. A compulsive liar, maybe. That way is Veigh's world. She's a little creepy. Constant lightning and no thunder? I tried to explore it once but it just kept getting more and more like one of the last Doom levels. And that way, is Drazio. He likes rain. He also likes hail and sleet, and anything else that falls from the sky. He spends his time making gardens and waterfalls."

Draconis paused to get her breath. "Hooooh... Yeah. Your flight can come visit at any time! They can even make their own homes here, if they wish. The land is, I think, infinite." She looked at Ganon and smiled again; if she didn't have her mask on, she'd be looking off into the distance, thinking about the things she still has yet to see here.

((Heh, I'm disobeying the second rule because so far we're the only ones here. When more people start using the thread I'll start using the little tag dealie.))

meadow, with draconis and ganon

poke and her lunar kyn Taku were having a very hard time trying to figue out where they were, or finding any sort of direction to go. At first they just wanted to be somewhere, and they ended up here..and now they had no idea what to make of it.

As taku was running through the grass, his rider was keeping an eye out for any sign of people or something to help them locate where they were. Which happened to be where ganon and draconis where.

"aha! I see people!" poke shouted.

"I see them to" Taku growled and then suddenly had to jump out of the way as a moutain appeared..out of no where. poke had to grasp one of the horns that adorned taky's back so she woudn't fall off. Then kyn then slowed down to a trot.

"what...what that.." jumping off Taku's back she preced to run towards the two figues and ask why were there moutains coming out of no where when she stopped and fell backwards at the sight of the bug mask. "AHH MUTANT BUG!!"

M

Draconis turned at the sceam, and fell on her butt in confusion. "Umm..." As far as she knew, there was no mountain nearby, just a meadow between her Kyns' four homes. She was just really very startled that someone had run up to her then fell down.

because poke was not paying to much attention to the rest of her body and had only seen the mask she had mistaken the person for something else. But now she was able to see the person properly she grinned with embarassement. "sorry! I..though you were a large bug.."

*Wipes previous roleplay away*

Draco Magnus's home, the countryland like a Canadian coniferous forest in mountainous terrain with a light dusting of snow.

((We only need to put DM in the corner if other people start roleplaying in a different area.))

Maggie strode forward in the snow drift, his Rider sitting in the junction between neck and four shoulders, who was wrapped up in a fur parka and furlined boots and fur gloves and some really cheap snowpants. Draconis shivered, regretting the snowpants and wishing she had brought something warmer instead.

Draco Magnus turned his head to smile at her when he felt her shiver, and looked up at the sky, where the bright sunlight reflected off the snow and tangled in the trees, warming the air. "Thanks, Maggie," she said, patting him on the neck.

Out in a clearing, Veigh lay curled on top of a dark-coloured rock, swiftly hiding Draconis's gameboy before her rider could see it. The bloody Kyn blinked slowly at the appearance of Prince and Rider, and said nothing to Magnus's loud "Hullo!"

Behind them, Drazio was held up along the trail. He was enchanted by the snow, and how it shone on everything. He wanted to study every snowflake, and try to find two the same, but when Draconis called for him he decided he'd make it snow in his own lands later and carry out the experiment then.

DM

"G-g-g-goddamn... c-c-cold..." Dirk shivered and hunched tightly, sitting on Scorn's head as she swam down a near-frozen river. She, too, seemed annoyed.

"You know, it didn't look like snow... it was warm over near the mountains!"

Dirk grumbled. "Yeah, well, we could be at the freaking north pole for all I know. 'Let's go for a trip,' you said. 'It'll be fun,' you said."

"Dirk, it's not like this is helping."

"Know what's not helping!? Being lost for two days with no idea how to get back to the mountains in a ridiculously cold place! And Ganon doesn't even know we're lost because he wasn't expecting us back for a week! 'We'll swim out and explore the continent,' you said! You didn't even think to ask a kyn who can fly fast enough to get help if he'd join us!"

"Yeah, well you could have asked, too," she snapped, and in response Dirk just grumbled sullenly and wrapped his little wings around himself.

"... I wish it was warmer. Wish this river would lead us somewhere we could ask where we were."

And, as Dirk said it, ludicrously enough, the area around them warmed up; the water heated up to a more comfortable temperature for Scorn, and Dirk felt quite happy. The snow melted away in front of them as they swam, and reappeared again behind them; it was as if they were in their own little bubble of warmth. The river itself ceased to twist back and forth and the world before them warped and then snapped back. The river had become straight, and visible just ahead was a clearing with two dragons and a human.

Dirk and Scorn went slack-jawed. Scorn began to swim as fast as she could while keeping Dirk's head above water, and soon they were sitting there beside the group. The river turned into a large pond for Scorn as she arrived, and Dirk hopped onto land. He was a tiny thing, a little winged Lunar, small enough to sit on a kyn's head; the size of a shih-tzu, probably. He immediately fluttered over to the human and stared at her.

"Excuse me... where are we? And why did the world get warmer when I wanted it to? And what... are you wearing on your face?"
