I just watched the last Torchwood of the series.
At the end Gwen says: "What would have made you open the rift?" Jack: "The right kind of Doctor"
*cue TARDIS sound effects*
Jack Disappears.
Obviously, I think he's gone with The Doctor ( heart ).

Well, he is supposed to appear in an episode of Series 3 of DW. I was wondering how they were going to do a crossover.

Of course what if it turns out to be a different TARDIS? That would make things much more interesting.

Just a quick note: I edited the title of this thread because it contains potential spoiler information for those who haven't yet had a chance to see episode 13 yet.

Twisted Davros Of course what if it turns out to be a different TARDIS? That would make things much more interesting. Would the hand-in-the-jar go zinga-zing if it wasn't the Doctor's Tardis? And isn't the Doctor's Tardis, like, the last in existence? Still, that would be funny... "Doctor!" "Who in the heavens are YOU?! Out my spaceship, out!" ...There's going to be a bit of that anyway, isn't there? I don't think - unless they took photos of the Doctor at the Christmas invasion - Jack's seen him like this. biggrin ... My friend said, "The only reason he's not in the series with Rose is because she wouldn't get a look in."

Oh, he'll be back. It's a good excuse to have him on two shows at once. And the next seson of Torchwood may not be for some time while Doctor Who is running.

Even if they didn't get photos of him at the Christmas invasion, I'm sure records of him survived from the Battle of Canary Wharf. He was inside Torchwood 1, after all. And if Jack had the hand then he must have known about the regeneration.

He is going to have to be back for season 2 there are a few things that need clearing up, well they might do it in DW
Questions like
Where and how did he get the hand?
How did he get back to the present from the space station?
Things like that have been bugging me for sometime now

I have a theory that the hand in the jar was the doctor's hand that was sliced off in the christmas special.
That would explain why it's so important to Jack and why the jar's gone with Jack after we hear the TARDIS noises.

He's gonna be in the last 3-4 episodes in S3. heart I can't wait to find out how he got the hand! Although I doubt he knows about the regen, or it wouldn't have been so important to mysteriously drop him off in Cardiff without any explanation. Plus it would take out the reaction when Jack sees him again. OOOHHH....... 3nodding 3nodding Wait...the jar wasn't gone....it never showed it just disappearing, or Jack taking it...he saw it going bonkers, he smiled when he heard the TARDIS, and he walked over to the noise and 'disappeared'. wink

He's coming back into DW later in the series. So yeah, he went with the Doctor.

The writers already confirmed it and it was heavily hinted at. Plus the whole glowing hand thing when the TARDIS showed up was pretty obvious. But, I don't know what you mean by the jar vanishing. I believe (If I am remembering correctly) that the jar was still there when the rest of the Torchwood team came back on screen to find Jack missing.
