Ebony barely marred the ground as the small mare danced in the moonlight, wings dipping and tail trailing out in the distance behind her. The little wind mare wasn't the best of all dancers, but when she moved all her movements flowed like liquid over the air and ground as if she weren't really trying. White wings like a swan's moved like fans and fluttered from time to time, her wing tips dancing and making gentle designs in the wind.
It was rare to find the ghost out on a night like this, rare to find her dancing, and it was even more rare to find her anywhere but at her teepee playing around with Banhi and Taroji.
Folding her large wings at last and bowing down on her two front legs, the slender female swished her tail and stretched out her thin back slowly. ninja

She was walking along, humming. It was something Aunt Feryal liked to do, and she'd picked it up. One of those silly songs about snow, and pretty things, and blah... and it was abruptly cut off by the fluttering thing she saw in the distance. And so she moved closer, watching qioetly, tiny body as close to the ground as she could make it. Her momma was always telling her not to speak to strangers, but Yue was curious!
Oh, the mare had wings! Like her and her daddy and Duo! She stayed low to the ground, watching the way she moved. It was easier to learn through this than by watching the exaggerated movements Duo made while teaching her to fly- or trying. Everything was natural. Unprepared.
And she was oddly transfixed by the dance. So when it ended, she was hard-pressed to cut short the breathless sigh that escaped her.
