I wasn't planning on wanting to get a PS3 (at least until Final Fantasy XIII came out... all three of them... ).... I mean, don't get me wrong, I love my PS2, but I just didn't see anything that drew me to the PS3. It's big, feels only moderately updated, has frustrating engineering, and let's face it, the commercials are down-right creepy.
But over Christmas, I was having a conversation with my uncle about the PS3. This uncle works for the military in really neat ways. He knows a lot about engineering, and a little about everything else. Well, turns out, the quad-core processor that the PS3 runs on... has a controlled exportation law on it. The chip in a GAMING system is being considered as a NATIONAL SECURITY risk.
I don't know about anyone else, but I think this is uber neat.
Apparently, they're really easy to string together to make a super computer, too. And they're manufacturing thousands of them.
I might have to pick up several, at this rate.

About to show how much of a geek I am here but something I love about the PS3 is the fact that its online network is called Skynet.
Skynet also happens to be the network that was controlling the machines in the terminator movies.

So a PS3 is a potential threat to our nation? I never took it very seriously, but that makes it sound almost intimidating.

I personally couldn't care less about graphics and such. It's the game that matters.

I personally couldn't care less about graphics and such. It's the game that matters. I totally agree. same here, remember the original zelda? mario kart? those games were great, even if links head was more square than round sweatdrop

It's the game that matters. totally i liek tyhe wii better cause it costs less and it scales and the wii mote is soo cool i cant afford the ps3 and i just dont like it..dont get me wrong if i got one for free i would be more than happy to take it if they would buy the games and controllers for me and run a internet cable through my room. Thats why the wii is better cuz the games are craper and the internet is all wireless and u just plug in that little wifi thing u got for ur ds and it can link to the ds. I dint know..Ijust like it better. and u can play all of the nintendo classics on it!!
