Beluwa growled quietly to himself as he padded along, the sand finally cool under his paws, rather than smoldering hot. "Damn, at this rate, I'll never make it back to mother's den." He mumbled tiredly, swishing his long tail and then shaking his head, the longer fur on his neck flopping about for a moment.
Pausing slightly, the mostly white wolf glanced about, feeling it was only a little too quiet for this area of the sands, and this time of night. There should have been at least SOME prey beast around. He snorted, then closed his eyes, the black swirling into a crystal clear vision of his mother's den. Yes, there she was, laying outside next to his father...
As the wolf's vision swirled again, it caught his sister, Kibuhuti'kota. She was there, so clear. Beluwa hadn't seen his sister in ages...She's a pretty girl, all grown up, he thought to himself, laughing. Mother always said she'd be a looker when she grew, but I bet she's still as shy and wimpy as she was before...He trailed off, opening his eyes and then blinking in the dark.
The wolf shook his head, then looked about again. Seeing nothing, he continued on, turning to the east, no longer heading for his old home. He was out to find his sister. Maybe they could have a civil meeting, or maybe he'd do like he used to do and just be cruel to her.

Wagging her tail back and forth happily Kibu stretched, a grin spread across her canine face. It had been a beautiful day out, and the evening was shaping up to be even nicer. She pranced past her mother and father, giving each an affectionate nuzzle. As of late she'd been wandering quite a bit, trying to broaden her views of the world. Surely not everything was as scary as it seemed... especially now that she was bigger.
And she was bigger. The thought made her happier than she cared to admit, and she bounced about in front of the den, blissfully unaware of her brothers presence for the time being. The slightly older male always made her nervous, another thing she didn't much care to admit to herself. She liked to think that now that she was bigger she could handle herself, especially around him. Pawing at a beetle that caught her eye mischeviously she lay down, white, pink and black fur shining softly in the sunlight.

The mostly white wolf growled to himself as he stalked nearer the den. He swished his tail side to side only once, then threw himself upon the ground and slunk along the edge of the pathetic hill the den was dug into. "Oh...sister" He said, almost silently, then he smirked evilly. Beluwa stopped moving completely and concealed himself as best one could with a white coat of fur.
"She'll be so pleased to hear me." He chuckled to himself again, then took a few tiny steps forwards. "SISTER!" He shouted, suddenly leaping at her, tackling her roughly to the ground. He growled menacingly and put his two front paws on her shoulders, his grinning maw nearly touching her own muzzle.
Beluwa swished his tail again and then licked his chops. "And there I was, looking for preybeast...I could just eat YOU." He taunted, stepping back and letting her room to get up if she wasn't too scared to. "Where's my mother?" He inquired, deciding to just change the subject instead. Sure, he'd been looking for Kibu, but he figured asking about their mother couldn't harm anything anyways, though Beluwa couldn't give a damn about their lunatic of a father.

Black ears swivelling Kibu shuddered, trying to ignore the fact that she could have sworn she'd heard Beluwa's voice. It wasn't exactly what she'd wanted to hear. More accurately, it was the last thing she wanted to hear. But she had learned, quite early on in her life, that you never get what you want.
Squealing like a terrified rabbit, a fairly reasonable analogy for the cowardly maned wolf, she lay wide-eyed staring up at her brother. Big ugly maw. Get lost. She thought viciously as she cowered in submission, tail tucking up to her belly, ears flattening against her scalp. "B-brother." She managed, shaking her head and snorting before scurrying unsteadily upright when he moved away. The thought of being eaten worried her a bit, but she figured cowards probably tasted awful anyhow, so he probably was only teasing. Plus... to eat one's own kind. That had to be more... wrong than even Beluwa could manage to do without feeling... bad. Or something. Did he even have emotions?
"Th-they're both over there. Mother and Father. They were laying in the sunset. They may have been arguing, I wasn't really paying attention." Story of her life. She stops paying attention for a moment or two, and suddenly her psycho brother decides it's time to have some fun at her expense. Psssh.
