I had started a roleplay waaay some time back in Barton, but it was sadly lost under the flood of generic roleplays that love to thrive there, but I -loved- the idea and would like to start it up agian.
The entire plot revolved around your, and other people's dreams. The way we react and mingle with one another is by finding ourselves inside the dream of another, and certian effects, such as falling, would trigger either another dream, or would toss you into somone else's head.
The idea itself is in it's most rawest form, and certian details need to be completley thought out before I could even -begin- to start it.
Comments, concerns, questions? Anyone interested if I do smooth it out enough to actually start it?

Sounds absolutely cool-diddly-o.
The only problem I could forsee about starting it is that the vharacters might find a hard time interacting. A starting point is needed, certainly.
I appear to have lost the ability to spell characters it seems... Unless the c and v buttons switched places just to confuse me.
Happy New Year from England by the way.

Happy New Years to you as well. =3
Yes, the keyboard keys tend to jump around on me on occasion as well so no need to fret.
A starting point I had in mind was at best, some sort of sleep clinic. That way the characters (signed up for a sleep therepy test of some sort?) could interact before the actuall sleeping occured.

Or perhaps some of the wiring goes wrong in the area of the head department? For instance one wire that was meant the be plugged in to a monitor gets plugged into something else. Then it could trigger one or more characters to share a dream. Aand then when they continue to dream they break off and can choose to chase them and whatnot.
o.O
Sleep clinic sounds good too. ^__^

Hmmm, I actually like that idea since I do have another one rolling around inside my head that involves people plugging in. Possibly make it to where it's slightly more futuristic (although I do tend to shy away from those.__.) and "plugging in" could be some sort of new, erhm, for lack of better wording at the moment, drug? People could plug into each other's dreams, for a price.
Ohhh now I've fuddled myself up agian. I know what I'm trying to explain, but can't find the words to explain it..

Lol. The whole "plugging in" reminds me vaguely of that series comic thingamy where people get stuck in a game.. I can't remember what it's called, but my sister mentioned it to me the other day. o.O
EDIT: In the meanwhile you should join Isyl-Belyrith. That will make me happy.

Uhhh, the only series with that in it that I can think of at the moment would be .HACK. .__.
But yes, I think I will join. I've been trying to read it all through for the past hour in between phone calls and numerous IM's.

xD You probably don't need to read the "bystanders history" bit. That was just me being bored. Lol.

XD Will take to note, then. Although I am researching my character as we speak. Are their any boundries I must stay in when making her? Or do I need to skip on over to another thread to discuss this?

You could always PM me. xP
And if it's medieval-ish then I'll probably accept it. It's in dire need of players.

I'd join.
Think of the possible irony about this. The scientists/doctors/researchers could be sleep deprived, thus the slip up in wiring.

Hmm, so plenty of people are up to join, I just have to figure out the story line. ;-;
What I have so far is this; X number of people have signed up for a trail drug that is a sleep aid, and hence, when they show up to the clinic for their testing, it's where they will first interact. I'll probably keep that part of it short though, since I want them to interact more in their dreams than the actual world itself. While all sleeping seemingly peacefully, the drug fails, sending them all into comas, and hence, why they stay in the "dream world" so long. Meanwhile the docters haven't a clue due to the fact that -they- were told that the drug was meant to put people to sleep two to three days at a time, with them waking up fully refreshed and their sleeping patterns evened out, somewhat like re-booting your computer. They only notice that something is wrong after the three day given period for sleep, so that gives the characters three days ahead to interact.
Now, -how- they jump from one persons dream to the next is what is stumping me the most. At first I was going to have it aimed more towards the fact that when something traumatic happens in a dream, you usually wake up, but in this case, they jump to someone elses head, but I'm not sure how I could work that out.
So far I have the who's, the where, and the how, I just desperatly need help sorting out the rest. My head goes at full speed when ideas pop into my head, and they usually get lost and jumbled as a result. x-x
