If you say that this doesn't piss you off, then I know you're lying. ninja
Doesn't it at least bother you a little when for the "Christmas Event" most of the items are Christmas related?
Okay, I know that it's called the "Christmas Event" but I think that it's unfair how there is no dreidel or menorah item.

I'm on a website similar to Gaia and they have both Christmas and Hanukkah items as well as seasonal ones. So it is possible.

Anyone think a petition is in order?

No- I can honestly say it doesn't. The majority of the world, and the population of Gaia is Christian. With all the commercialization, it's not really even religious nowadays anyway. Why would it be right to force a more religious holiday that only a small minority of Gaians celebrate on the rest of them? Besides, if people actually cared about the holiday itself or the religious information behind it, there'd be no need for items to celebrate it.

As meaning goes anyway, Chanukah isn't that important of a holiday; nowhere near Yom Kippur or something. sweatdrop

yeah well, also a talis or somthing doesn't have to be specificly for hannukah. i mean ur right, but we don't have to limit it to like a just a giant dreidle

heart don't you know? christmas is the time when everyone of all nationalities and faiths can come together and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, right?

I'm happy with gaia the way it is. I mean, if we get Jewish items, what about all the other religious stuff they'd have to add? It's not like the Christmas stuff on here is actually religious. You can't run around with a giant crucifix on your avatar, so why would we need kippot?

...because there is the item "Leather Collar With Cross".

I know that Gaia sucks but like yeah... the world is mostly Catholic and so are Gaians. However, they do a Christmas event every year and I think it would be nice to have one item somehow related to Chanukah. It's not nescessary, but it would be thoughtful of them. It wouldn't have to be directly related, like the some of the items for this year. Maybe something blue & white?

Why would they have Jewish items? The Holidays Gaia has are the most mainstream and recognized holidays that people across the globe will know. People have expressed a want to have a Thanksgiving event, but Gaia has yet to have one because not everyone is an American.

Also, the Xmas event isnt a religious event at all. Its about a little child like man who lives in a robot suit and runs a large corporation and all the items we receive are mostly just variations on the clothes he wears and suddenly receiving a blue item (which I imagine the color would be since blue and white are the unofficial colors of Chanukah) would just look out of place and a bit odd.

It's no longer as religious as it was, but it still is. We don't celebrate it because of our religion and predominatly Catholics & Christians do.
Hence, it is.
However, it is a bunch of B.S., I agree on that.

I'm happy I sparked debate. This is interesting. 3nodding
