I was being escorted through Caedarva Mire and Arrapago Reef for my Puppetmaster and Corsair jobs, and I'd already died once at the hands of a Lamia that was just waiting for my cutscene to end. While waiting for my weakness to wear off, a message popped up:
You feel a sense of foreboding. (Not accurate, I've forgotten what the message actually said.)
Shortly after this message, I was face down in the dirt again, courtesy of a Reserve Draugar that had popped in to say hello with its fists. After killing me, it ignored my escort (a paladin and a white mage, both 75) and disappeared again.
Has anyone else had this happen to them? I want to know why this happened, and I haven't been able to find out any information so far.
For the record, we were waiting in an area where no mobs were supposed to spawn. It was supposed to be safe where we were standing, and it didn't happen again the entire time we were out there, including the waiting time for my 2 deaths later in the march.
Please, if anyone knows what this was about, help me out!

The aggro range for these mobs is an entire 3 grids on the map. It could have come from anywhere.

Very. I once died from aggro, reraised when everything was far away, and saw this skeleton coming from all the way across the zone, towards me.

When you see that message and die, nine times out of ten, Lamia No. 9 pops. I think it's 9 anyway....a Lamia NM pops.

I guess I got the 10th one, then, since it most definitely wasn't a Lamia that killed me, and there wasn't one in sight. stressed I'm somewhat relieved to know this has happened to someone else on the board. ninja

I was doing COR quest and went the entirely wrong way. Ended up getting massive aggro from all angles even though I THOUGHT I was being stealthy.
Kinda stinks sad Deleveled to 60 and lost my trailers kukri and amemet+1 crying ;
Was a while a go, though. I've taken a break from RNG since then.

Keedoe Eek. eek I was doing COR quest and went the entirely wrong way. Ended up getting massive aggro from all angles even though I THOUGHT I was being stealthy. Kinda stinks sad Deleveled to 60 and lost my trailers kukri and amemet+1 crying ; Was a while a go, though. I've taken a break from RNG since then. I was lvl 75, lost 7k exp from that zone from all the dying, and all but that last one, had rr3 up. gonk

Drowningwaters, you've successfully made me extremely grateful I went for those jobs with a level 38 character. Much less XP loss. sweatdrop Those places are a major pain in the a**.

It's really sucky considering...all the people in the pt were lvl 75 as well, and we all died multiple times.

I went there with Shinryuho(We're on Kujata) and duoed Imps and Chigoe(sp?) though nothing aggroed to us when we got the COR CS.
Then afterwards we decided to stand infront of the Merrow to do the /panic motion a few times before we got bored and left to finish up COR.

I went there with Shinryuho(We're on Kujata) and duoed Imps and Chigoe(sp?) though nothing aggroed to us when we got the COR CS.
Then afterwards we decided to stand infront of the Merrow to do the /panic motion a few times before we got bored and left to finish up COR. Cor and Pup quest were easy, we were there to get the staging point. we never got it. gonk
