...Shinichi(Jimmy in English) will end up with at the end of the series? There is a few good choices. Could he want to be with his girlfriend from childhood, Ran(Rachel)? Of course, since he lives with her he might actually get tired of her(he has admitted it a few times), so maybe he'll want someone more childish in case he can't get himself back to normal. The obvious choice would be Ayumi(Ami) in this case. Or maybe he wants a more "adult" companion that can help him out in difficult cases, and who else is better at being mature and smart at his young age than the, supposedly 18 years old, Ai? Who knows, maybe Heiji(Harley) will become tired of Kazuha's constant nagging and she ends up being a love interest for Shinichi. The choices can be extensive if you think about it. lol

I feel bad because despite seeing her picture several times around the internet, I've never met Ai (I'm through manga 13; does she not exist in the manga or do I need to get further?).
Looking at the choices, Shinichi should be with Ran. He's already decided that when he gets back to normal, he's going to tell her that he loves her, and I haven't seen anything yet that would make me believe that he's changed his mind about it. Conan and Ayumi is kind of cute, but one-sided. Plus, how many six-year-olds would have a crush on the person that they end up marrying? And I've met Heiji, but not Kazuha, so I'm not sure there.

Looking at the choices, Shinichi should be with Ran. He's already decided that when he gets back to normal, he's going to tell her that he loves her, and I haven't seen anything yet that would make me believe that he's changed his mind about it. The idea isn't really far fetched that Conan and Ayumi might end up together in case Conan can't get himself back to normal and refuses to tell Ran. You met Heiji first in vol. 10. I'm not sure when, but you will meet Kazuha much later, at the Osaka Serial Murder Case. You probably seen her a few times when you look for DC pictures.

If Conan couldn't get back to normal and refused to tell Ran anything, he would be the biggest jerk ever. He should at least figure out some way to let her know that Shinichi won't be coming back (or fake his death xd ); I'm certain he could figure out a way to do it without Ran figuring out his secret. I guess Conan/Ayumi is kind of like Shinichi/Ran when they were younger. However, right now Conan doesn't seem to return Ayumi's feelings. However, if he wasn't able to return to normal, he could end up developing feelings towards Ayumi. As of this point, however, I still prefer Shinichi/Ran. Regarding other choices, the only other recurring female character I can think of right now is Sonoko, and if that happened, I'd be really scared. burning_eyes

I think he would be even worse if he found out and made it seem like he was killed so Ran can mourn over his death that didn't happen yet. The Conan/Ayumi pairing might work if he eventually starts getting more stronger feelings towards her. Ayumi obviously has a crush on him. Even in vol. 33(Where I am now in the manga) he still doesn't show much more than friendly actions towards her. I prefer the Shinichi/Ran pair too. I never thought about a Shinichi/Sonoko pair because I simply don't want to xd . It shouldn't be possible in the stage of the story I'm in anyway. He's more liable to end up with Ai or Kazuha than Sonoko. She used to talk about trying to get Shinichi to love her, but Shinichi is flat-out against it.

I'd say he'll end up with Ran. He has to. Looking at the other characters:
Ai seems to have feelings for him, but he never actually feels the same way.
Ayumi has a crush on him(as Conan). He has a crush on Ran. 'Nuff said.
Kazuha has someone already!
And Sonoko does too!(You'll find out later Zephyr)
I don't think he'll end up not making a choice. It doesn't seem right, considering his position.

KoizumiItsuki I'd say he'll end up with Ran. He has to. Looking at the other characters: Ai seems to have feelings for him, but he never actually feels the same way. Ayumi has a crush on him(as Conan). He has a crush on Ran. 'Nuff said. Kazuha has someone already! And Sonoko does too!(You'll find out later Zephyr) I don't think he'll end up not making a choice. It doesn't seem right, considering his position. Yeah we both have the same ideas about the others lol. Not sure about the idea that he has to make a choice. Who knows, maybe something will happen and he ends up in a situation where he can't actually have a g/f afterwards. Don't ask me to make an example 'cause I have no idea, but I can see that as a possible conclusion to the Shinichi/Ran pair.
