It was upsetting to look at such weather now'a'days. Where did all the pretty colors go? Every pink, purple, green, blue, yellow....they were all gone and replaced with such a plain color. White. Where was the fun it that? Nothing came from this color except cold, and that wasn't fun either. It was about time Spring showed up now, the stallion wanted to prance around and look at all the colors like he did before, he missed that so much.

Sighing to himself, Bliss just stared at the snow that laid under his hoofs. He would have to put up with it until it was gone...because of the way the lands looked...the snow wasn't leaving for quite some time now. It was best to take in what he had and make the best of it, right?

Now nodding, the ignorant stallion giggled loudly. Had he just made a decision for himself? And a good one at that? Usually, Bliss just let others make the decision and didn't care what they did...he just went along with them. But now he had decided to have fun in the snow! Oh, how exciting! Looking over at his familiar to seemed to already be playing in the snow he giggled again. "Hey Joy! Let's have some fun! Wanna make snow horses and racoons or something?"

The racoon stopped rolling around in the white stuff that his bonded said was snow and looked up at Bliss. "What? Oh! Sure! Snow racoons! Sounds fun, Bliss!" He giggled back and ran up to the dark stallion, who's coat stuck out in the snow like no other. But, so did his own.

One two, one two, one two, one two.

Eyes tilted groundwards and seemingly fixated on his ever-moving hooves, Kildegard plodded along through the snow in the direction of Bliss and Bairn. Of course, this wasn't for any personal reason, any desire for companionship or socialization; no, it was because he simply didn't realize that they, or anything else, was there.

Black eyes stared down at the ground with apparent fascination, but anyone who saw those eyes would be able to realize that something was amiss. Specifically, the eyes were dead; no light of any sort shone forth, any sign of interest of indication of alertness absent in the face of utter deadness.

But this was typical behavior, at least for Kildegard.

The dark stallion plopped himself on the snow and started to roll around just like his familiar was doing. It seemed impossible to actually spread out and make a snow angel horse thing...so rolling around and getting himself all snowy was the second best idea.

Laughing loudly as he did so, Bliss didn't realize that another soquili was headed his way...but not only that, it was a stallion. The ignorant fool of a stallion hated his own kind, for reasons that he was embarrest about. Bairn had called him retarted, and he still hadn't gotten over that. It was who he was, and he didn't exactly plan on changing it.

Being ignorant wasn't a bad thing, was it?

Joy giggled as his bonded soquili rolled around in the snow and the racoon started to throw snow at Bliss, just to make the situation funnier. It was good to have fun in this season...no matter what time of day or what the wheather was like, Joy could always find a way to be happy.

Hearing a slight noise, the racoon turned in the direction of another stallion headed their way, and he seemed to be unaware that they were there. In fact, he didn't seem to be paying much attention to anything.

Wanting to have some fun, Joy gathered up snow into a rather large ball and threw it at the oncoming stallion.

Under normal circumstances, Kildegard would have kept walking straight past horse and raccoon, taking no notice beyond half-conscious murmurings of apology that he wouldn't have remembered later anyway. However, usually he didn't get hit in the face with a snowball, either.

Joy's snowball hit him full in the face, and even in his trance-like state that was not an act that could escape notice. Stopping dead in his tracks, the white stallion simply stood and blinked stupidly at the other stallion and the coon, snow falling off his face and onto the ground without him so much as batting an eyelash. Anyone looking at the stallion's face would have noticed a change, though, as his dead black eyes took on life and confusion. "Um...am I disturbing something?"

It was when the snowball hit it's target that Bliss eve realized they had company. Pushing himself upwards, the dark stallion tilted his head to get a better look at whoever was there and sighed. A stallion, great. Was he going to call Bliss retarted too? It was like if you were a male you weren't allowed to be silly and fun. Stupidity and happiness didn't exactly go hand and hand if you were a stallion. That was the mind set that Bairn had put him in when he was called retarted. So seeing another one of his kind made Bliss very scared.

"No, you're not disturbing anything, I don't think. I was just playing in the snow and Joy here was-" He paused and looked down at the racoon. Playful little guy didn't give a care in the world. It was cute to watch him in action. Bliss realized that it was him who threw the snowball, and him who brought the stallion over here. "I'm sorry. My friend here likes to play. What do you say, Joy?"

Joy giggled once again and ran up to the white stallion. "Sorry sir!" He shouted and then quickly ran away from the two stallions. "Let's play tag! Wanna play tag, Bliss? New guy?" He shouted from where he was, eager to have some fun on such a wonderful day.

White as a snowbank and twice as numb, Kildegard had the distinct impression that he was at LEAST a half step behind these two. What was it they were talking about, now, and what did it have to do with him? Black eyes shifted from the stallion to the raccoon, confused yet focused at the same time. Ok..

"Um, what? Rather, what are you apologizing for, and what do you..." Nevermind, he was now so confused that there was no way to figure out what was going on without outside help. Nevermind consciously talking to the raccoon, he didn't know what ANYTHING going on was. "Sorry to bother you...but can you tell me what I'm doing here?" It wasn't that he really expected them to, but as he had no clue himself, anything was better than nothing.

This new stallion made Bliss wonder if he was alright. It didn't seem like it, it seemed more like he was out of this world and didn't belong or something...this guy had no idea what was going on so it made Bliss confused as to what was going on as well.

"Joy. He threw a snowball, right? I saw the snowball hit your face. Unless, was I imagining it? So I was apologizing for him. Wait, apologize means 'saying sorry' right? Ok..." The dark stallion stood there with a blank expression on his face, not really sure what to think of the new stallion that stood in front of him. By the looks of it, they were both just kinda...not all there at the moment.

The stallion's question almost made Bliss fall over in surprise. Could it be that there actually exsisted someone as ignorant as himself? What the heck kind of question was that, anyways? Can you tell me what I'm doing here? Incredible. "I have no idea, what are you doing here? Me and Joy were playing and you just came." He stood there, eyes wide open in shock.

Joy, on the otherhand didn't want to wait for the two stallions to catch up to him and want to play tag, so he started running around them in a circle. Maybe by pushing the 'game' hard enough, they would start to want to play. "You're gunna play! That's what you're gunna do!" He giggled, looking at Kildegard.

The snowball...right, he'd been hit in the face with snow. That was what had snapped him back to the here and now, if he remembered correctly. So he'd gotten in the middle of a pseudo-snowball fight, eh? No wonder he'd gotten hit, and no more than he deserved.

Raising one foreleg, Kildegard removed the last of the snow from his face and watching it fall to the ground with a semi-smile. The dark stallion was staring at him oddly, an expression that Kildegard was by now used to receiving. He didn't behave as most stallions did, or most Soquilis, for that matter. And theoretically most others didn't ask total strangers why they themselves were doing anything.

Glancing from the dark stallion to the raccoon with a rueful expression, Kildegard shook his head. "I thought as much, but it never hurts to ask. Whatever I was doing, if it was important I'd probably remember. Or I'll remember it later. Something like that." Now he'd no doubt REALLY get strange looks.

((Sorry it took awhile, my computer died. xP))

Did he not realize that a snowball had hit him? Perhaps maybe...Bliss wasn't the only ignorant one out there! There had to be others, and maybe this new guy was one of them. And maybe this guy didn't know he was stupid,so therefore that would make Bliss smarter, right? He knew he was dumb and he put up with himself...but maybe this stallion didn't understand anything what-so-ever! What a wonderful thought, indeed! Knowing he's not the only one that was stupid made Bliss want to jump for Joy.

But his thoughts were only an accuse to rid the thoughts that perhaps this stallion would take one real look at him and call him retarted.

Nodding now, at the strange acting stallion, Bliss smiled. "Of cource. That makes sense." He lied, having absolutely no idea what this guy was talking about. If he was going to sound smart against this guy, he had to 'understand' things. "Remembering important things is always very good. It helps when making a conversation."

The racoon on the otherhand just stared at Kildegard. What in the world was this stallion talking about? That definitely was just randomness that came out of his mouth, nothing more. Blinking, Joy giggled and decided to shrug it off. He wanted to please his bonded, so he kept his mouth shut.

Kildegard's dark eyes watched as a plethora of expressions crossed the other stallion's face; surprise, amusement, excitement, consternation...how very strange. Then again, perhaps the dark stallion had a wandering mind as well, or some other such debilitation; and even if he didn't, Kildegard was never the type to pass judgement. Others could act as erratic as they wanted. It just made things more complicated for him.

However, he was getting used to complication. One look at the other stallion's face told him that he didn't have a clue what Kildegard was saying, but it was nice of him to try and act otherwise. It always made Kilde uncomfortable when those he encountered were visibly weirded out by him.

So it was with a greater smile of confidence that he nodded in agreement with the other stallion. "Indeed it is; though trivial conversations can be pleasant and help time pass, we need to remember what's important if we wish to have truly meaningful conversations." Or remember them later. "And speaking of important things, my apologies for breaking up your entertainment; my name is Kildegard, and as you've already been able to see, I have a tendency to be absentminded." To put it mildly!

He had indeed left Bliss in utter confusion. How could someone speak like that without even taking a moment to ponder as to what they just said? It wasn't like the dark stallion to take in words so random and big like the ones this new guy used, and he felt rediculous.

And again, the white stallion spoke. This time, his words seemed to make a tad more sense, but to Bliss they still seemed strange. He spoke as if he didn't know what he was talking about, or to Bliss it seemed that way.

"Oh, of cource." He started, and paused for a moment to gather his thoughts, "Conversations that leave you thinking are always fun. But I agree." Bliss then grinned when Kildegard mentioned his own name, it was the first time that someone had introduced themselves before he did. "No worries. I was just trying to pass the time. And my name is Bliss. It's a pleasure to meet you, Kildegard." Another grin came onto the dark stallions face as he mentioned being absentminded, to what he figured out to be 'without a brain'.

"I'm not all that smart, so we are very alike, my friend."
PostPosted: Mon Jan 22, 2007 1:17 pm

....What? Kildegard wasn't exactly sure whether or not the other stallion, Bliss, as he'd introduced himself, was trying to insult him or not. If he was, then he'd just insulted himself as well, right? And most Soquilis didn't utilize kamikaze tactics when insulting others...so he'd just take it as a backhanded compliment.

Grinning, Kildegard bowed his head in response to Bliss' introduction and comment, deciding that he might just get along with this stallion; Bliss didn't seem the type to lord over Kildegard due to Kilde's mental lapses, nor did he seem to be that competitive to begin with! And the idea of noncompetition seemed a nice change of pace, damned if it didn't.

But now, moving on! "A pleasure to meet you as well, Bliss; I've been roaming around this bit of countryside for quite a bit, but this is the first time I've met a stallion out here!" Of course, he'd only met one mare, so that point was rather moot; but it was still the principle of the thing.

A goofy smile was kept on the dark stallions face as he watched the white stallion react to what he said. Was it strange, to talk to a stallion the way he talked to mares? This Kildegard fella was the first stallion he had met, besides Bairn of course...and well...it was all new to Bliss. Not knowing if there was a certain way stallions were supposed to talk to eachother, the darker stallion just shrugged.

Seriously though. Bliss wondered. Bairn had always called him an idiot because of the way he talked, and never really gave the smallest care to even tell Bliss how to talk correctly. Could it be that there was a whole different communication between mare and stallion, mare and mare and stallion and stallion? No, ha...that just seemed silly. Ridiculous, really. How could someone talk different to their mother and father then? Unless that was different because they were family. Ah! The dark stallion wiped off the grin and replaced it with a frown. He was confusing himself, and totally forgot that Kildegard was still standing there.

"Sorry. I was just thinking, er...trying to at least." Another grin came. "Me too, or at least I've just been out and about for the past few days, looking for my best friends. None of them seem to be around and..." Bliss trailed off. Did Kildegard just say-? Oh! He did! Wonderful! So he wasn't the only one who had issues with talking to the same gender. Or perhaps this stallion was just as wierd as him.

"Wow! Me too! I haven't met a stallion ever, besides of course my adoptive mother's real son...but he doesn't count because he's mean to me. So, Mr. Kildegard...you're the first stallion I've met and I'm the first stallion you've met." Bliss giggled happily, did that mean something? Something special? A friendship, perhaps?
PostPosted: Sat Jan 27, 2007 5:03 pm

Kildegard couldn't help himself from grinning at the other stallion. Maybe it was the way that Bliss' expression kept changing, like a kaliescope of emotion. Or maybe it was his zeal.

Or maybe it was the fact that for once he wasn't the only one feeling completely out of his element, unless Bliss' element happened to be confusion!

So it was with that wide grin on his face that he nodded in agreement with Bliss' words. "I'd say that that's a safe enough assumption, since herdmates don't count for this sort of agreement. That being said, congratulations to both of us for acheiving a goal!" Even if meeting stallions wasn't necessarily a goal. It was certainly less unsettling this introduction, though, even if he HAD gotten a snowball in the face. That reminded him, though...

Turning his gaze from Bliss to the raccoon, Kildegard raised a brow. "And now I've got to ask...what ARE you, little guy?" He'd seen foxes before, but never this sort of familiar; assuming that it was a familiar.

Aha! It seemed that of cource this stallion could turn out to be a wonderful friend. They seemed to have so much in common...or at least the way Bliss viewed the situation they definitely did. Kildegard didn't take verbal stabs at him for acting like such an idiot...or perhaps he hadn't noticed the stupid words coming from the dark stallion? Either way...Bliss's perception of others of his gender was slowly changing. How nice it was to make new friends.

He had found himself returning the wide grin that Kildegard had given him, and with each second that passed by, it was getting bigger. "Yes! Congrats my dear friend! Erm...we both got what we wanted I think...so erm..." Those words that the other stallion had spoken were too much for the poor idiotic dark stallion to handle. Haha, too big of words for sure. It was hard to keep up...no! Wait! He wanted to prove to himself that he wasn't 'Bliss the idiotic fool' anymore, these thoughts could not happen.

And then the subject of his little racoon friend came into the picture once more. Kildegard had asked Joy what he was, and feeling it his responsibility, Bliss spoke up. "Erm...he's a...a...I dunno." The stallion stared wide eyed at his friend. He knew Bairn's familiar was a mountain lion...but never knew what his own was.

Joy snapped out of the day dream his was having with his colorful tail at the sound of being spoken to again. He giggled madly at the stallion's question. What a silly thing to ask! What a silly thing indeed! Going up to the stallion's hoofs, the little colorful racoon stared up at his friend's new friend and giggled once more. "I'm a colorful racoon a'cource! Haha! I'm all the pretty colors in the world mixed together in one small body! Isn't that wonderful!"
