Welcome to Turner’s World.
One extremely large room, actually, two, with a wall thrown down, has been turned into a fitting area for what this young woman wants to teach. Combat. The room contains a large sandpit, a forest terrain, what appears to be a rather good recreation of an alleyway, along with an area covered with mats. Various cupboards holding food, overflowing with random objects and weapons, line the wall closest to the door, just behind a large desk, with a cushion on top of it. Also adorning the desk are stacks of books, papers, pencils, cups, packaged food, sketches, and a few trinkets from her travels. Along the walls are countless hand-drawn maps, along with diagrams of combat stances and framed pictures of strange places [Perhaps places that Turner has been to?]

TURNER AND CURRY 
Name: Turner Herrick
Player: Indubitably
Gender: Female
Age: 27
Area: Battle Instructor/Dragon Trainer
Experience: Turner has definately never taught children before, in fact, the closest she's ever come to instructing was training with new partners in her other job as a 'handler' for a certain company [Read: Mercenary]. Therefore she usually teaches as if speaking with her own peers. Still, she has a lot of hands-on experience, as well as being an avid reader and explorer. Although not yet thirty, she's seen more than her fair share of adventures.
Ages: 8+
Personality: Very laid back, and occasionally absent-minded, the young woman is lively, and incredibly cheeky. She has the habit of cursing too much, smoking, and flirting with anything appealing, male or female. Some could say she's rather charming, and she's quite the adventurer, however, she's quick to defend herself, physically. Turner isn't the type to hold grudges, even an hour later, which is a good quality for someone dealing with a lot of people, some with abrasive personalities. Turner's one fun-loving gal. However, when she gets angry or is disrespected, she can snap. At least she doesn't hold grudges.
Past: Though she randomly spits out information, and is quite open about her childhood, her late teen years until her present aren't exactly public knowledge. D-corp knows about them, and even has her personel file from her last job, along with a few close friends and ex-partners, but that's about it. In early December, she came back from a job to have her condo blown up, and moved to the area. Seeking more security in profession, she easily accepted the job when it was offered, no blackmail required. In fact, she was a good candidate, seeing as she held a position of relative secrecy for eleven years.
She doesn't need money, although her clothing style, and flustered, cluttered lifestyle suggests it, and has more taken the job for a change of pace. Not that it's much of one. Instead of fighting and working with strange creatures, she's now come to teach strange children. Of course, compared to what Turner's experienced, a few hybrids are just adorable.
CURRY:Her left arm is made entirely of a self-aware shadow, whom she somewhat fondly refers to as Curry. Unless she has something over it [bindings made of leather with buckles to strap it down], Curry can go through walls, morph, and cause various havoc. She can never cover him all the way, and often the black shows through at her fingertips, which are harder to bandage. She's often loosing things in Curry, like pens and such, which he absorbs, and she likes to use the depthless shadows as a carry-all, often having a weapon stashed or a good book.
The shadow is quite mischevious, and likes to play pranks on Turner, and children, still, they'd miss each other if separated.

OOC/IC Information
-Please read the entire front page, as it makes everything run more smoothly in the long run.
-Turner teaches three classes for anyone, and four advanced classes, however, some of her advanced classes are for previous students of hers, and others are for those that have passed a certain number of any teacher’s combat courses. These are signified by “ [ADV] ” after the title, and its specific requirements are listed under the class’ description.
-I require that proper responses in class roleplay be at least a paragraph long, each post, otherwise it can be considered a waste of time, since it’ll only make things less productive. A paragraph constitutes four complete sentences, not counting dialogue. Three responses not following these guidelines may result in a failing grade.
-Please do not PM my main account [Indubitably] concerning classes, because anything said there is unofficial, and won’t be added to my workload until it’s sent to my D-corp mule. I also prefer to keep IC and OOC separate.
-Please do not PM either account to find out if there are classes open or which are currently being offered, as there will be a regularly updated list in this thread, as well as notices posted in the main thread. Classes being offered have a capital “AVAILABLE” after the title.
-Turner curses, smokes, and likes both men and women. So, if you have a problem with any of those things, feel free not to schedual any courses. ICly, Turner isn’t bothered by people disliking any of those, and OOCly, I don’t care either. So, boo.
-Your student doesn’t have to be nice to Turner, but she only tolerates a certain level of disrespect. If your child gets too out of control, and Turner ICly kicks them out, they receive a failing grade.
-Read the courses available, then see if any are open, copy and past a form, then send me it in a PM. Hopefully you’ll grab the slot. Simple.
-Do not post in this thread.
-Turner only has slots open for up to four classes at a time, usually 1 private, 2 beginner, and 1 advanced course. In slots, the course is listed, and then how many students are accepted/who those students currently are. Those are not the number of classes available, but instead the number of seats to be filled before the course can begin.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
Pathways of Learning: The slot set-up for Turner's courses are designed so that students that start out in Hand-to-Hand continue to Combat Styles 1 AND 2, whereas students that start with Weaponry 1 move to Weaponry 2, then Combat Styles 2.
Private Lesson: A solo class for those students too dangerous, or weak to work in a classroom setting, or for those guardians that are online at odd times, or want an extremely quick class. I don’t especially like doing these, however, if you can provide a good reason, it can happen. Due to the nature of these courses, they also have homework. May be done in pairs for siblings, as long both are played by the same person. [Example: Ai’shern and Altessa would not be able to sign up together, however, Ligeia and Terpsichore would.]
Hand-to-Hand and Self Defense: Obviously combat using just the body, this is a course anybody can take at a preteen stage or older; it is also the most frequent course Turner teaches. It also is about balance, and knowing the power within one’s own body. Trusting themselves.
Weaponry 1: This is a basic course for 2-4 students that gives them a simple weapon to train with, either ranged or melee based. Students work with practice dummies, targets, and proper stances. This is the first class of two. If you’ve already taken a course on weapons, you may move on to Weaponry 2.
Weaponry 2: The follow up for Weaponry 1, which is a requirement to sign up for this course, turns it’s attention to defense from weapons, both melee and ranged, and also has the students begin to work in pairs. If you’ve taken another weapons course, that is also acceptable. [Req. Weaponry 1]
Combat Styles 1: An Advanced course for students who want to explore particular fighting styles, which range from the martial arts, to wrestling, to street and environment fighting. All of these forms are weaponless, and to take this course, you must have already taken a Hand-to-Hand course. Kayin’s first course on balance is also acceptable, as are Lilly’s courses on offense and defense. [Req: Hand-to-Hand]
Combat Styles 2: More styles are taught to Advanced students of Turner, as this would be their third [or second if they were Kayin or Lilly’s student] class with the young woman. However, there are two ways to reach this course, as it incorporates weapons into it’s curriculum. Students who have taken Combat Styles 1, and therefore a Hand-to-Hand course, as well as Weaponry 2 students are welcome, although they’ll have different skill sets. [Req. Combat 1 and ADV Course]
Survival Course: For Turner’s most skilled students, this course is only done by IC invitation, which will be delivered to your inbox. While you must fill out a form, and send it to the mule saying that you would like to take this course, you’re not officially signed up until you receive a letter from Turner. This course takes place in a completely different room, which she keeps locked. No student is allowed to see it until they enter, and they’re not to talk about it afterwards. 4-6 students at a time, as well as Turner enter the terrain room, and she divides them into teams, to use whatever skills they’ve developed to defeat one another. Fun, intense, and with Turner laying traps in various areas, they’re bound to be injured. But victory is sweet for the winners. Unlike in most courses, uneven teams are accepted.
