Eisei: The Capitol of Kutou, this city is located in the southern part of the country. It lies near the Shouryuu River, which is the only thing really keeping it going.

Jin Ling rode through the crowed streets of Eisei, towering over the commoners on his large, black horse. He was dressed in noble finery, his short, black hair falling in his brown eyes. He had a beautiful sword at his hip, and a blue dragon tattoo curled around his left arm. He was on his way to his home, one of the large houses kept for the visiting noble families when they were paying homage to the Emperor in court.
The young lord was the haughty sort, and while he wasn't malicious, he wasn't exactly kind either. He was part of the elite, and Jin knew it. He was born high, and had the talents to show. He also was a Celestial Warrior of Seiryuu...

With a small groan, the teenage girl rubbed her eyes as she sat up in a very peculiar world. Tatsuko looked about, confused about where she was. The last place she remembered, she was in the library with her friends... and now. Slowly getting to her feet, she let her hand rest on the wall, to keep herself stable. She ached all over, and it felt as though thousands of needles were pricking her skin. I must be dreaming... I had been in the library... and then that weird book... there was a light coming out from it... It didn't seem possible to her, that there would be a light escaping from a book like that. She knew she must have hit her head on something. Reaching up to check, she found there was no blood staining her strawberry blonde locks.
Shaking her head, Tatsuko took a few tentative steps, to try to see where she was. If this was a dream, atleast it seemed to be more like the pictures she had seen in one of her classes. Everything was peculiar. The people that she saw were dressed in ancient robes, and she was still in her school uniform, making her stick out like a sore thumb. This was definately something most strange. "I must have hit my head harder than I thought..." she said, softly, her hand still against the wall to keep her steady.

Jin was survaying the area around him, but he started to feel a buring on his bicep... he looked down and say that his symbol was glowing, and it surprised him. It normally didn't do that unless he was in a fight or angry... he slipped off his horse and started looking around, his eyes falling on a girl in very strange clothes, that looked really disoriented. "Miss?" He called, going up to her and leading his horse, "Are you alright?"

The strawberry blond was a little surprised when a man came upon her, leading a midnight black horse. She was a bit surprised, as she had been certain she was just dreaming, or that this was merely a hallucination. However, she normally only dreamt of those she knew, and this was the first time she had seen this young man. She turned so that she was leaning her back against the wall, as the dizziness had only seemed to increase. "I think I am... I'm not sure..." The aching feeling had only just started to go away, leaving her with very peculiar thoughts. If this was a dream or a hallucination, then something very bad must have happened. What if I am knocked unconcious or in a coma? I have Finals coming up, I can't be asleep for that... or... maybe I am dreaming all of this because I am studying to much... It was all very confusing. She looked up at him, taking in his face and look. He was pretty cute, for a figment of her imagination. "Can you tell me where I am?"

"You are in Eisei, the capital of the country of Kutou... my name is Jin, but most call me Suboshi... like the constellation..." He gently reached up and brushed her hair aside, she was warm and that cause him to frown a bit. "You have a fevor My Lady... let me take you somewhere that you can rest... are you hungry? Or perhaps some tea would do you well..." He knew the legends of Seiryuu, he'd been learning them since he was very small... and he had a feeling this was the priestess he was destined to care for... maybe she would accept him from him, and not judge him for his brother's death...

Eisei... Kutou... this must be a dream... those were mentioned in my text books... Tatsuko didn't speak those thoughts aloud, but hearing him mention the constellations brought up different thoughts besides those in her text books. Shinsei's grandmother had often told the girl's stories of the Priestesses of the Beast Gods. They had even been talking on their way to the Library how interesting it would be if they were in the same position as the Priestesses. His hand felt cool to the touch, which she supposed only reinforced the fact that she was quite warm. That must be it... I have a fever... I was stuck upside the head, and now I'm sick. This is all a hallucination or a dream. If I just pinch myself, I'll wake up. She nodded, softly, the woozy dizzy feeling not disappearing as she took a few steps from the wall, and loosing her balance. She toppled to the ground, wincing as she scraped her knee upon the ground. The pain only brought about the realization that this wasn't a dream, otherwise she would have awoken.

Suboshi frowned as she fell, he managed to grab her shoulders before she hit her head again, luckily for her... He moved, and with great strength, he plucked her up off the ground and cradled her against his chest. "You aren't well Miss... don't worry, I'll take care of you..." He went to the side of his horse and managed to claim the saddle and he placed her gently in front of him, wrapping his arms around her waist and taking the reins. "Just relax... I'll figure out how to help you... I promise." His breath was soothing on her neck, like there was power there... it made her feel better, if that was possible....

The strawberry blonde was feeling rather strange, unsure if this was a dream or not. It had to be a dream, yet she wasn't awake. Tatsuko was still feeling woozy, and having the handsome young man pick her up and hold her close didn't help the odd feelings that were running through her body. She wasn't quite used to the attentions of males, since most of the guys at school were more interested in her friends than in herself. Not to mention the fact that she was a complete bookworm, and didn't really pay much attention to them herself. So, the fact he seemed to be doting on her, even though he only met her a few moments ago.
When he held her upon the horse, his breath on her neck, she actually did feel a little better. She didn't know if it was because of his words, or what, but it was definately peculiar. The normally quiet girl leaned back slightly, closing her eyes. "Thank you... for helping me, Jin. Not many people would help a person they just met..." Her eyes opened, to look up at him and giving him a small smile. "I guess I forgot to introduce myself... my name is Tatsuko Yamazaki. It's nice to meet you."

Jin smiled down at her, letting his normally cold exterior drop for her... "it's not everyday a gentleman has the pleasure of helping a young lady, in strange dress. Pretty girls can become easy prey in Eisei, I'm glad I found you... I'm a noble here in the city, my father rules a small province, but we're here now, at behest of the Emperor. I will tell you more about that, if you wish... but only after you've rested..." He knew that he could help her more, he had the ability to pass his ki to someone else, though his breath... The girl was rather frazzled at the moment however, and he didn't want to just kiss her... he wasn't a lech... "I know this is hard to explain, but I can make you feel better... watch..." He steared the horse over to a tree stopped in the shade, "Watch my mouth... I have an ability to pass my energy to another, using my breath..." He took a deep breath and a blue light started to come from the top of his dragon tattoo, as a symbol showed up there... then he let the breath out, so it ran over her skin, and she could see the soothing, blue mist... "Of course, it works better when you can take it into yourself directly... but that requires some rather... intimate touching, and I don't expect a girl to agree to that, when we've only just met..."

Tatsuko couldn't help but chuckle a little at his comment about her 'strange dress.' While to him it might be very odd, it was all but normal where she was from. She couldn't help but think back to the stories that Shinsei's grandmother had told them about, about the Priestesses of the Beast Gods coming from another world. It was strange, to say the least, that they would keep reoccuring in her mind. "While my clothing might be strange to you, it is normal where I am from." She was a bit surprised to hear that he was a Lord, though given the way he acted, she should have guessed as much.
When he stopped the horse, Tatsuko was, needless to say, quite puzzled by what he was trying to explain. It seemed as though he was talking about some sort of magic, which seemed very strange to her. Her eyes darted down to his tattoo on his arm, of the blue dragon as the glowing blue light appeared from a mark that just appeared. Her eyes widened, shocked by this display. It wasn't something that she let others know about, but she had seen that image before, along with several others. It had been a dream from a long time ago, but it occasionally made it's presense known again, most recently last night. Seeing the blue mist come from her lips, as a cooling sensation spread through her arm, Tatsuko bit her lip gently. It was then that she truely knew she wasn't in her own world. Suboshi... Eisei... Kutou... and now magical powers... I didn't think it was possible... but... it seems like I am in one of Shinsei's grandmother's stories... that book... it's because of that book!
Her mind shifted for a quick moment, taking in the last part of what he said, a redness creeping to her cheeks. While the idea of kissing, as she was assuming that was what he meant, the young lord wasn't a unpleasent one, Tatsuko was a proper Japanese girl. Her first kiss... it was supposed to be special. "If... if I do not start to feel better, then perhaps... but, as of right now, it would be better to wait. As you said, we have only just met. Where I am from... that sort of thing is very special... particularly one's first..."

Suboshi nodded, "well it wouldn't be a kiss actually, more like just touching lips, and me breathing the ki, and you taking it in... but I agree... I don't know if I want to give my first kiss to a girl from another world." He grinned at her, "not that you aren't cute... because you are." He started the horse going again, "let me know if you start to feel warm again, I'll blow in the back of your neck... though I have to be careful, I get tired if I give too much away, and I have to have enough energy to fight, if I have to protect you..."

"Mai." A womans voice spoke, trying to get someones attention. "Mai." it spoke again, still not quite breaking through.
"Soi!" That did it. The teenaged girls head shot up to look at her mother. "Huh?" she blinked, unaware that her mother had been trying to get her attention for the past 90 seconds. Mai had been reading a book about Qu-Dong, but her mind started to wander off to a place it hadn't been in years. She felt hazy, as her back felt warm. Not just her back...her Soi mark...she was lost in thought again. "Mai!"
"What?" she snapped back, somewhat startled. "Sorry, mama. I was just thinking about something."
"I can see that. I need you to do me a favor. I need you to go pick up some fabrics that I ordered." Her mother said, turning away to pick up a small tab with a list of the fabric that she needed on it. "Can you do that?" she asked, turning back to her daughter. "Yes mama." she replied with a nod, as she closed her book and stood up. She brushed herself off, merely a function of habit, then took the tab from her mother. "Anything else? Mai asked as her eyes darted over what she had to get. "Here's some money for it, that should be more than enough." her mother said, handing a few coins to the young woman. "Alright...be back soon, mama." the pale haired teen said before leaving her mother's shop and their home. -- "Thank you, Mai. You have a good day, and tell your mother I said hello!" a woman called to Mai as she left the shop with an armfull of fabrics. "I will." she smiled over her shoulder before leaving. At this point, Mai couldn't help but let her mind wander back to where it had been earlier. She'd been reading about the celestial warriors in Qu-Dong's history. She thought it odd that she had been born as Soi, seeing as how the Celestial Warriors had come and gone. The thought also scared her a bit. There had to be a reason she'd been born Soi...what was wrong with the country that she'd be needed for? She sighed to herself, completely lost in thought again, only vaugely paying attention as to where she was going.
Her head was in a fog feeling the warmth from her back again. She was so wrapped up in the Seiryuu fantasy, that she didn't even hear the horse's hooves clicking and clopping down the road...or else she wouldn't have stepped out infront of it. By the time she'd realized what just happened, she just narrowly managed to avoid being stepped on, stepping back only to bump into someone ultimately causing her to drop everything she was holding...
Mai raised her eyes from the pile of fabric, in horror, to the pair on the horse. There was a young woman, who looked to be a year or so younger than her, dressed in strange clothes, and a male who looked to be her age, if not older. "S..I-I'm sorry." she said, most apologetically with a deep, polite bow to acompany her words. "I wasn't watching where I was going..." she continued to stammer, raising herself back up.
Oh man...she was gonna get it now...
|Wow...go me. I didn't expect to have a post like that ^^;|

Jin glared at the girl that had gotten in his way, the horse reared up and he had to ease the animal back, nearly having the weakened Tatsuko topple off his lap. "Watch where you are going! The horse could have killed you, and if I wasn't such an accomplished rider, we would have fallen off..." He moved the horse around the woman, ignoring the feeling of his symbol flaring to life... he figured it was just because of the scare, and having to protect the priestess... The Lord started back toward his manor, wanting to get her inside and relaxing as quickly as possible.

Even though Jin played down the act as not a kiss, but merely touching lips, it still caused a crimson hue to come to Tatsuko's cheeks. Which only increased when Jin said she was cute. That was something she wasn't quite expecting. More often than not, the boys at school ignored her, because she was so thoroughly involved her in schoolwork to really notice them.
She had been about ready to respond to his comment about blowing on her neck when the other girl had stepped infront of the horse, causing it to rear up. Which, when it had happened, the weakened girl turned, clinging to one of Jin's arms out of fright. She didn't want to fall off the horse, and since she didn't really know how to ride a horse, it was the only thing she could think of doing. Her eyes drifted to the girl as Jin berated her, feeling an odd sensation in the back of her mind, something she couldn't explain. She pushed it aside, and slowly detached herself from Jin's arm, trembling a bit from the ordeal. I am glad he knows how to ride a horse... I wouldn't have wanted to fall off...
