I haven't posted here in a while > A < here is my most recent picture, C&C loved <3 the shading is off because originally there was going to be light coming from the side too... xPP

For C&C, I think it looks a little unfinished because the shading seems sketchy and lacks some dimension. The colors seem too light so the real harshness of the shadows that should be there, isn't. That's all I have to say for now, because I don't know a lot for everything else. smile

Hey, cool. : D CandC from me is that her left (our right?) eye seems to be missing. I think if you either put a shadow there or extended her hair a bit more it'd take care of that without having to put and actual eye in. Your stuff is so sweet looking, Phrenai. <33

I won't comment on the lineart because, to me, that's just your style. So it's all good sweatdrop The choice of colours match to me.
But the shading, as you said, is a bit off. The light source looks like it's coming from all over the place; or should I say, the shading's randomly placed. If the light source is from the bag, then you should shade it accordingly first. If you wanted light also from the side, you shouldn't emphasise on that yet. Shade it in reference to the bag, then add mild shades from the side. That way, you can have a very nice effect.
