I have £40 left from christmas, and I thought long and hard about what to spend it on. I have decided on one DVD, the Arc of Doctor Who that David Tennant says first got him interested in it, the Genesis of the Daleks. These DVDs are fairly cheap! Like under £10 from amazon! I am going to check the price in HMV to see if they are the same price, so I dont have to wait for it to be shipped biggrin

What other Arcs do you think are good?

If you haven't seen them yet, I'd recommend getting the first few serials (An Unearthly Child, The Daleks, etc.) not because they're particularly good, but just because it's how everything started.
I'm personally a fan of Earthshock, because (Spoiler) Adric was just begging to die. And anything from the Tom Baker years. Destiny of the Daleks is my favorite of his serials (I haven't seen Genesis yet).

I can highly recommend Talons Of Weng Chiang, Caves Of Androzani, Trial Of A Time Lord, or Remembrance Of The Daleks

I think I am gonna stick with the Tom Baker stuff biggrin I dont really want to get black and white stuff right now, when I start getting EMA at the start of Sixth Form in September, I might try and get some more biggrin

Destiny of the Daleks is only available on VHS sad

I love tom baker and David Tennant whee Does that make me a conformist xd

Doctor Who - The Hand Of Fear [1976] - Tom Baker; DVD - £8.99
Doctor Who - The Sontaran Experiment [1975] - Tom Baker; DVD - £8.97
Doctor Who - Genesis Of The Daleks (2 Disc Set) - Tom Baker; DVD - £7.99

I have £40 to spend (or so) and I am already spending £15.99 on a case for my MP3 player, so I guess this is it, unless you can find something better than the first two for £8 or so on Amazon.co.uk (must be Region Two and DVD) biggrin

Those sound like good choices...and liking Baker and Tennant doesn't make you a conformist, unless you only like them because everyone else does.

I like baker because what I have seen (which isnt very much) shows that he is very ... quirky, I like him, much like Tennant I like because he is smexy XD except for the sideburns razz

I can get one more DVD because I am not gonna get the case.

I am also going to check my local borders for the DVDs, 'cause there were a few there before biggrin

I want to get one more "of the Daleks" DVD. Here are the conditions.

It must be sold on Amazon.co.uk
It must say This
It can be any Doctor, but I am already getting Genesis of the Daleks.
It must be a Region 2 (PAL) DVD
Please explain why I should buy it and give a brief synopsis of the episode.

Edit: I decided to give you the choices biggrin I am just gonna use the prefix to "of the Daleks" so that will go at the end of the word biggrin

Resurrection (Peter Davison) - He is kinda cute, I am thinking about getting this one, is it any good?
Revelation (Colin Baker) - I have seen some episodes of him, I didnt like him too much.

Hmm, seems like those are the only two that came through on my conditions -does another check-

hmm, I wonder, was "The Three/Five/Two Doctors" Any good?

Good movie! Spirited Away is a good one, too...a little odd, but all his movies are.
Hope you enjoy all your purchases!

lol I agree. But hey, the sideburns are ok.
I like the 9th doctor too, and I might say better except that I have been watching season 1 lately and haven't actually seen any of the 10th doctor episodes in about a month...
