Groceries. She hated shopping with a passion, even when it came to food. And she'd be buying a lot of food. At least this time it wouldn't take all that long- she'd brought her two humanoid wards with her, but who knew just where they'd run off to. Well. She knew the Nazi reborn was off doing what he was supposed to do (which was collect food for the animals that were starting to look far too pampered), but it was the other one she was worried about- the crazy little girl who talked to herself. Real gems, her brats. Now she stood before a tall shelf of canned goods. The bane of her existance. At 5'4, Redd was at a loss when it came to the higher things in life (harhar). That was what stubborness was for. The mangy appendages upon her head lay flat against hair of identical color as she stared the display down, as if it'd crumple down so she could pluck up what she needed and move on. Needless to say, it didn't happen. That was why she began to climb it, feet stepping up to the second shelf before she could finally try to make a grab at the Raviolli leering at her from the top shelf. The crystal eyed goddess watched in her magical pool. Once again she'd been alerted to the fact that a guardian was ready to take on the reborn god's relic. And lucky for her she wouldn't have to use as much power-or expend as much lifeforce- to link ths one to the spirit world. She thanked heaven for that. The last one she'd had to use her powers to "kill" had practically wiped her out. She needed this power to deliver all of the gods. With a slight tug on the reality of the woman she caused that display and those cans to come crashing down upon her-an instant death. But Redd never felt the blow. Instead she felt herself laying in the middle of the highway, cars moving by her in each direction. She'd felt the display give way beneath her, following her weight down. It was an alarming feeling, to be sure. When she ended up on the highway, her arms had crossed over her face, legs flailing for a moment as if she could have kicked the display away. She might have been able to, had she not been so shocked and had fate not been against her. After a little while, she stopped, those furry ears twitching. There was the sound of cars sliding past her and when she moved her arm just a little, she was able to confirm it. A blink, and then she slowly removed her arms and lowered her legs. In the next moment she sat up. "What the ********?" She questioned, just under the noise of the cars. Pale blue eyes scanned the scene set before her, brows furrowing in confusion. That would probably turn to anger in a moment; nothing was allowed to bewilder the coyote without pissing her off. Then she realized. That pain-killer she'd used earlier from waking up from a headache... aw s**t, she was high. She was probably sitting up in the grocery store hallucinating all this bullshit. Her kids would have to drag her home- who cared if they weren't old enough to drive yet. Or maybe she was dead. Not that she ever imagined that Hell was a highway. "You're not dead and you're not high." a female voice mumbled, with a blank tone. Kendra had been given the power of mind reading for her job but it didn't make it any less boring. She didn't like giving random a** people reborn god relics to deal with. It was boring and she'd much rather be paying attention to the ship she was the soul of. So she tried to speed up the process just a bit. Oracle didn't give her an exact script to follow after all. "Come, sit, eat something. It's your ticket out of here. I have to explain stuff to you." "Eh?" Redd glanced to the table in the center of the road -how the ******** could she have missed that?!- and arched a brow. That woman there... offering her food, alright. In the middle of the highway. And then she was going to tell her that she wasn't hallucinating? A snarl curled from the halfling's lips, at no particular thing for the moment. Testing her limbs, she was able to stand, scruffy tail dragging the gravel as she sauntered towards the other lady and her little... freak-booth. "Hey lady, you the one who brought me here?" She asked behind narrowed eyes, head cocked so she could seem like she was looking down at the other. "Who the hell do you think I am? Frogger? And where do you get off throwing cans on people, huh? If it tastes like s**t, I ain't eatin' it. I'll stand." Well, wasn't she a bottle of sunshine? Crossing her arms, Redd stood before the table, foot tapping the asphalt impatiently. "Well?" "No. If I had that kind of power I wouldn't be here. If you have a problem with how you 'died' take it up with the Goddess. And while you're at it tell the b***h to get a new spirit to do her bidding." the woman grumbled. Her tone was still monotonous but it was now more obvious that the tone was forced by an outer means. "I'm the messanger not the one in control of crap. Just sit down, and eat something so I can get my job done with and get you out of here and back to your life." "Goddess?" The coyote repeated incredulously, her ears flicking back. "Just point me in her direction and I'll chew her a new one. Whatever happened to sending a ******** letter?" Not that it wouldn't have just been chucked into the furnace along with the bills in this wintery weather. "Can't go anywhere in this shitty place without smacking into more soliciters or what the hell ever." But she did sit down, making herself comfortable before she spoke again. "If you called me here to like... try and make me a better person or whatever, you can just give up now." The table was smacked indignantly, the long nails upon her fingers twisting to try and dig themselved into the wood. "I can't. I haven't got a god damn clue where she is. She's been in hiding for 3000 years. If she sent a letter she'd give away her location. And apparently you can't bond spirits with a dead deity when you just get a letter." The woman's tone would have been dry if she could have used one. "And no I don't care what kind of person you are. I'm just supposed to explain stuff to you about how the universe I'm from's gods are dead and they have to be reborn to save it. But seriously you'll hear about it anyway later so I'm just gonna leave that crap and give you the gist of it." "...What the hell do I care about some dead gods?" Redd scoffed, leaning back somewhat, glaring at the spirit. "And if its so important, that little Goddess of yours should be out here talking to me, not sending some messenger. It's none of your business who I am anyway, so you're lucky that coward of a deity left it out." A sharp gesture that suggested the woman was flinging the situation from her was made before she sunk irritably into a slouch. "Sounds like some cheesy science fiction novel I wouldn't cook George Lucas over. Whatever. Just give it to me short and sweet, Cindy-Lou-Secretary, so I can move on. I've got mouths to feed and heads to smash." Of course, she didn't have an idea of what was about to be forced on her. Yet. "Tell her that. I don't make the rules. I don't have control of this bullshit. And I know who you are. I just don't give a ********. She gave me the god damn power of mind reading for this s**t and I can't turn it off." Kendra grumbled. She hated having to deal with assholes but hey that was part of the job. "Fine. The pain in the a** found out the only way to save some universe you don't give a s**t about is for the gods of it that got murdered to be reborn and given to people on gaia cause the a*****e who killed them in the first place can't get to gaia. So she has to make sure they die so they can get the brats. You are one of the unlucky sons of bitches that has to care for one of these reborn god kids. Meaning yet another mouth your sorry a** has to feed. And this one is gonna be a god. And you don't get any say in the matter. Which is really stupid but anyway. You have to care for a god of water." "Sucks to be you." The woman shrugged, nonchalant with the spirit's plight. Everyone took s**t from someone. She wasn't in the mood for sympathy, but her mood did simmer slightly. Until she took in what she was hearing and actually translated into something she could understand. "What?!" Again, she was on her feet, taking a step back. Those ears had flattened so close to her skull that they were nearly invisible among her hair, signifying the aggression of the animal that made up half of her. "You're trying to force a kid on me? ******** THAT, lady. I'm not taking your b*****d. I'll kill it, got that? I got enough things to take care of as it is. What's in it for ME? Huh? Unless you say that little mermaid shits money, it ain't happening." Oh, but it was. She just hadn't excepted it yet. "Your money problems aren't my issue." Kendra said, eyes seeming a bit darker as she stood up and walked closer towards Redd. "But it's time for you to wake up anyawy. Take it up with Rouge." and suddenly a fist came out, punching the coyote straight out of that world and into awakeness. She didn't feel it but she was awake now. And with a strange silver chain around her neck. One that bore a little blue water droplet shaped crystal. That b***h! Slinging a fist at her like that! Why, she'd-- sit in some weird-a** place with Kendra nowhere in sight. "Hey, you ******** c**t, where'd you go hide? You MISSED!" Yes, because screaming in an unknown place did wonders for someone who was more pissed off than a cat dropped in water. The chain rattled against her chest, which she eyed for a moment for beginning to try and remove it, cursing all the while at the top of her voice. The chain didn't seem to want to be removed. There was no clasp on it and when she tried to pull it over her head it ended up backwards on her neck. Suddenly a voice answered her call. "The strange ghost lady who you were talking to isn't here. You were dreaming-sort of-I guess. Anyway shut up. We're taking you back to gaia. Chill out." The struggle continued for a moment -she was headstrong to the point of ignorance- before she'd acknowledge the other woman. A new woman. "Hey lady, don't tell me what to do-- Wait, you get this s**t often?" Those blue eyes scoured the ship for sign of the pirate. Deep breaths Redd. Just like the psychiatrist said before you smacked him with his clipboard... "Who are you? Where are we if we're not in Gaia? s**t. You're dropping me off at the same place, right?" A hand was clawing at the charm. She wasn't going to give up easily. Rouge shook her head exasperatedly. She hated this. How many more people were gonna randomly end up on her ship. "Sadly yes. You're about the 3rd person to end up here and the second most angry at whoever this spirt chick is." the blonde explained. When one got a good look at her they noticed she look slightly like the redheaded woman from before. But she had more emotions, short blonde hair, and a very different nose. But the eyes and facial shape were the same. It was like they could be related. "I am Rouge Remika and this is the Samadueanna, a space ship. We were in Tison-another universe- when you appeared. Two other gaians popped up here, said they had been talked to by some random a** spirit lady who told them they had to raise the reborn gods of Tison and what god they got. Yes we're taking you back to the place you were before-we determined it was a market of some kind. We're sorry for this crappy inconvienience this raising some kid you can't get rid of will be-we tried getting those necklaces off before. they don't come off-and we're willing to help you pay for the expenses caring for this kid will take since somehow our world is involved with it being forced on you and we found when searching your records that you had other children you have to deal with. From Tison? That universe... where the bid cheese that killed gods couldn't squeeze through. Okay, she was getting it now, now that the haze of rage was slowly but surely budging. "You uh... You can see my records?" She had records? Well, besides the court orders she'd had in previous years... Her throat was cleared roughly before she tossed her head and scowled. She didn't like this situation, obviously, but she couldn't do much for it. Just because this lady was going to pay for the expenses of the kid "Fine, but you better not skip out, Rouge. Once it's not a necklace, nothing is going to stop me from putting the kid in an orphanage afterwards... or from being fed to my dogs- whatever." didn't mean she wasn't going to face some hardship. Raising kids was no walk in the park. Hell, she wasn't even sure if she was raising the ones she had now well enough. "Yeah... those damn kids I left there don't know their way home, and the tutors can't go out in the sun... How'd you get into this s**t anyway? You don't seem like something got lodged up your a** like the other chick." "yes we have records. Don't ask me how. I haven't got a bloody clue. But as soon as someone appears on our deck with one of those necklaces their records appear in our ships database. Or at least information on them. And don't worry I won't skip out. These kids are apparently to save our world so we have to help them. That and I'm too nice for my own good." at the second statement she laughed. "I haven't got a bloody clue how. One day we were chilling out minding our own business and boom the first guy with one of those necklaces appeared on the bridge. After everything got explained out it pretty much seemed we'd have to help take responsability for these kids."

Dearest ******** Diary,
Another one. ******** one!
At least this time I didn't have a choice, and you'll never guess what crack-tastic adventure I got thrown into for it. So first some b***h dropped a shelf of canned goods on me in the grocery store. Next thing I know, I wake up in the middle of a highway. A HIGHWAY! There were cars going past every now and again, and yet some chick (some dumbass) had a table set up right in the middle. I thought I was tripping on the aspirin I'd taken that morning, you know? It told me to take two, and I took five.
Anyway, this b***h talks to me like its one of the most natural things in the world and even offers me food. Of course, she ended up not giving me any at all... Just told me about how some guy killed off all the gods in some universe (some suck-a** gods if you ask me) and that they had to come to gaia. And I'm CHOSEN to raise a water god. And then she tried to punch me and I ended up on some other chick's ship. Rouge or whatever. And we were... in outer space, I guess? I'm back now and whatever but... yeah.
This SUCKS! Majorly. I don't need another squalling kid around here. I already have two. The rest are animals and act like permanent babies in their own ways. For now, the god thing or whatever is hanging on my neck on some sort of necklace. Kinda pretty and matches my eyes... But I can't take the s**t off! Looks like I'm stuck with it for now. Whatever. The Rouge chick offered to pay all his expenses so maybe I can get something out of that, right? Tell her he's a spoiled brat or something and take the excess money. Good plan.
Here's hoping he's the independent type!

"Alright kiddo, we're here." Redd told the steering wheel as she pulled the faded navy truck to a stop in a parking spot near the entrance to the wall. She was rather pleased with herself for the moment, having cut off some coperate b***h on her cell-phone for the spot only moments before. Pale blue eyes drifted over to the ten-year-old girl sitting in the passenger seat, who stared dociley down at her lap, stroking a doll whose eyes had been removed from their sockets and hidden behind childish blonde ringlets. Redd was rather used to seeing the disturbing little thing whom Naia had insisted was called 'Sasha', and so wasn't at all bothered by it now. The door was opened, and she slid out of the truck to the ground. She could hear Naia following suit, albeit silently.
The blue-haired child joined her behind the pick-up, reluctantly joining hands with her guardian while tucking her doll under her arm. They were going to go get some more outfits for the girl for her school while her brother was busy with being tutored at home in the 'devine art of ballroom dancing' as one of the vampires had called it. Whatever, right? Meanwhile, Naia's long socks and patterned jumpers were looking like more of a uniform nowadays. Surely there were more clothes she could want? Something that could go with all that mascara she was smearing down her face nowadays. Never trust men to go shopping for a woman's clothes, even if the one was gay. As they approached the final stretch of road between them and the shop, Redd began to scan for any sign of passing cars.
What they did see was a large roaring type of "vehicle." It looked like a motorcycle but the headlights seemed, though off, like eyes and the grill looked like the maw of a ferocious beast. And it was a beast by far. It parked out in front of the shop-the black leather clad woman. But what was the strangest was what they saw when she removed her helmet. A short blonde pageboy bob cut framed a lovely face and an upturned nose. A lovely-and VERY VERY familiar face actually. The face of Rouge Remika.
At the roaring, the little girl beside the coyote gave a rare sound of surprise, sanguine eyes widening beneath their charcoal-smeared lids. As for Redd, a simple brow was arched, looking over the beastly make-up of the machine. She was impressed, the corners of her lips barely twitching in hint of a feral smile. The rider was eyed for a moment, decidedly female. Well good, this b***h knew her machines. Kind of reminded her of that movie... the one with the tank. When the helmet was removed, Redd blinked. Now while she wasn't very good with names alone, she was good with a face or types of smells. Noticing the small change in her guardian, Naia passed a silent question. In an answer, the woman's free hand twitched up towards the trinket hanging still around her neck, apparent in all its blue-silver glory over the top of her tank-top.
Ah, okay. It had something to do with the pretty piece of jewlery. Redd hadn't told any of her children that they were getting another kid yet, though they did know something was up for all her recent broodings- her constant clawing at the thing. Now they were changing course, approaching the metal monster and its owner at a steady pace. Naia was quietly admiring the detail and the pure grusomeness of it, not really interested in the female that Redd had homed in on. "Didn't expect to see you here," The coyote raised her voice easily as they got closer, trying to top the machine with the volume she was more used to being at. "Don't you have your own galaxy to shop in?" Oh, it wasn't meant rudely. The woman was just curious.
Rouge glanced over, having just shut off the beast. "Usually but stuff is cheaper in this world. So I figured I'd see if they had what I'm looking for." the woman said. Today she looked...different. Not only was she clad in leather but her eyes were black lined and she had spiked silver studs in. "If I can't find it though I'm going shopping back home. And who would this be, who seems so fascinated with Jeremy?" Rouge asked, glancing at Naia with a smile.
"You'd be amazed at the crap they sell here. If its some kind of novelty thing, you'll find it. Not sure about technology though." Redd scoffed slightly at that, discreetly taking in the dark details of the other. She rather liked studs herself. Before the 'relic' had come along, there had been a collar of them around her neck, and there was still a strap of them keeping her pants clinging to her hips. Looking at Rouge now only reminded her that she had been considering getting some piercings to fit in with the times.
As she was adressed, the girl straightened somewhat, blushing quietly beneath her palid features and mascara and stepping to conceal herself behind her guardian's bushy tail. "That's Naia," Redd volunteered, giving the girl a slight dissaproving look. Afraid of strangers with cool things, pah! "Don't be fooled. She's more devious than she looks. If you're not carefull, you'll find that thing missing a part or two later." A small, fanged grin at that as she gave the girl's hand a little shake. Naia made no objection or sign of embarrassment at the statement, peering around Redd's hip to look at the machine again.
"J-Jeremy?" She asked, he voice just barely over a whisper.
"Yes.Jeremy the Phyfin monstercycle. I don't think she'll want to steal anything from him. He bites. He doesn't like being dismantled." the woman laughed a bit and there was a strange laughing like roar from the beast of a ride even though it seemed off. They had never seen her turn a key or anything to start it. Rouge smiled broadly, "locking" up the bike. She seemed to just be letting him know she was going inside. "Hopefully I can find it then."
Bite? Naia made a face at that, half apprehensive and half curious as if she was now planning more than ever to try. Redd caught the look and pinned her ears back for silent emphasis. The girl got the message. "Well, hey, we're headin' in there anyway. Maybe I can help?" She offered, almost uncomfortably. She wasn't used to really helping anyone unless she was paid for it, but she had some questions about just what she was getting into now that the woman was so conveniently placed here. "What's that other place like, anyway? That universe where these whats-its are from?"
"It's rather interesting I guess. You'd have to see it to believe it." Rouge mumbled. "And I don't know if they'd sell fuzzy dice here." she said. At least not the pair she wanted. Though why she wanted fuzzy dice who knew. "I could show you guys later though if you can't find clothes you like here."
"Fuzzy dice?" Redd repeated, mulling it over. "Yeah, they probably do. I wouldn't doubt it. And whether we find clothes or not is up to missy here. She's old enough to dress herself, so she can find her own clothes. Hey, how'd you figure we were getting clothes, anyway?" Go and see the other universe? That easily? "Sure, sounds like a good plan. We've got some time to kill." As Redd began to hoarde her towards the store, Naia glanced over her shoulder, passing a little wave to Jeremy.
"The fact that you're standing outside of a hot topic with an already made up kid in a jumper and shirt makes me think that yes you're going for clothes." Rouge laughed. Rouge noticed the girl's wave and smiled. "you'll get to ride on him later. Don't worry." she laughed.
"...They've got some nice jewelry in there too." Redd muttered a bit, cowed but grinning. "She did that herself- I ain't got nothin' to do with it." Gotten into her tutor's mascara. She'd had a good laugh over that one. Hearing Rouge the little girl blinked, then offered a small smile before turning her head to whisper to the doll under her arm.
Rouge smiled and went inside. "Good. Then I should be able to find some nice earrings and a spiked choker. I'm planning on getting my ears pierced a few more times. They're big enough to handle them." and it was true. Looking at Rouge more closely one would notice that she had large pointed ears that were about the size of her head. They seemed to droop down somewhat-which was odd. Most elf ears pointed up, including the ones of the guy who'd been manning the transporter room when they sent Redd home. "I'm thinking 7 more on one ear and maybe 10 on the other. What do you think?"
"Yeah, this is where I got my choker." Redd offered as she followed suit with Naia in tow. And as they did enter, the woman behind the counter peered at them curiously, obviously getting the wrong idea of what two women and one child entailed. As Rouge mentioned ears, her own twitched, a large set of furry pointed brown ears that had gotten her mistaken as some defective neko far too many times than she'd like to remember. "Well, yeah. As long as you have time to take care of 'em and s**t so they don't swell up in those boil-things." She replied with a slight nod. "Why more on one than the other?" bleedingrosedg: "Because I already have 5 on the one and 2 on the other. I'd have 3 on each but we had like 2 mistakes before we got it right on that ear."
"Oh yeah? That sucks." She nodded somewhat understandingly, letting Naia go wander when the girl pulled from her hand. "I'm thinkin' of getting some on my ears, maybe a couple on an eyebrow. Hey, look, dice." She gestured to one of the back walls of the store, where they put the car accessories.
Rouge laughed. "Those will work PERFECTLY." She said walking over to look at them. But she pulled Redd along with her. "Now that Naia's not within complete earshot I need to tell you something. I was going to just call you but seeing you is more convinient. We've found out how long it takes for the relics to change. At least if they move at a normal rate. Sometimes they are slower to change." the woman warned.
Redd was a little surprised about being pulled along, but luckily the confusion was not given enough time to melt into her usual irritation, for the woman was quickly explaining herself. The brunette gave a slight nod at what was being said, eyes narrowing as she finally took it all in. "You mean... turn into a brat? s**t. It's not gonna happen right now is it?" She asked, grasping for the thing.
"Not right now no, luckily. But any night now. The way you get it involves dreams. It generally takes about two days to become a baby give or take. If you haven't told your other kids yet you may want to. While we're in Tison I can show you to some shops and help you get the stuff. As I promised I'll help pay. And there's no way to lengthen your time or avoid it. I found out the hard way." the woman gave a sour look at the last thing but other then that seemed fine
Redd cringed at that statement, glancing away. "My boy came from a set of dogtags, I guess I should be used to it." She murmured a bit bitterly. She nodded at the last bit, though arched a brow. "You get one too?"
"Correction. I HAVE one too. Mine was one of the first few to go baby." she said with a nod before picking up a pair of black fuzzy dice with pink flames on them and holding one near her ear. "Hm...I like these but I have no clue if they'd go with my eyes and hair. What do you think?"
"Eeah. Is it bad?" She asked, as if the kid were some sort of bad situation. And it was, really. She never liked getting new kids and she probably never would. The dice were judged before she rolled her shoulders. "You gonna wear them in your hair or what? Matches everything else you're wearin'."
"Not really he's a sweet child and so far the others I've seen are adorable. And they don't have powers yet. And I love kids. It's just who that one used to be. Luckily they dont' have memories." she said with a smile. And then onto the more fun topic. "In my hair? Maybe I'll get a pair for that. I was considering growing it out and getting another perm. I looked good with a perm. I may try to do Mom's mullethawk even. But right now I'm trying to find a set to make into earrings. Baby pulled the dots off of my old ones." she laughed a bit. He had wanted to play with it. So she'd taken the hook out that went into her ear and let him. But now she needed new dice.
"Big inconvenience," Redd muttered, though turned her head to make sure Naia wasn't being carried off yet or anything. She appeared to be talking up to someone who wasn't there. She was fine- normal at least. "But if they're nice, eh. They can stick around until they're old enough for a job and can pay me back I guess." She would have liked to ask about her own kid's past on that subject, but Rouge was moving on. "Well yeah, you could. I say a chick who pulled her hair back with 'em is what I'm gettin' at." Now that she was looking... "Hey, anyone ever tell you that you look a lot like that rude b***h that shoves babies at you?"
"Yes. And then I ended up getting a relic and finding out that it was my mother's spirit that was the one employed to do that. Then Oracle got killed and now it's done without any explaination and I have to explain s**t. Not exactly fun but I guess I can survive it." Rouge said with a shrug, picking up a pair of dice and using the cord holding them together to pull back her hair. "Hm...I do like it."
"Your mom was a b***h," Redd offered casually, not about to back off on what she'd believed. On hearing that the Oracle was dead, she smirked cruely. Well good- whore had dropped a shelf of cans on her and who knows what else to others. "Yeah, looks pretty good." She glanced over at feeling a tug on her belt-loop, looking at Naia and the hoarde of skirts and dresses she'd picked out. "Mmph. You better pick out top ten there, kid."
"She prided herself on that." Rouge said with a shrug before turning to look at the girl with the skirts and the dresses. "Oh let her get them. I'll pay." Rouge said, taking out a wallet. "That's one thing I love about this realm. Severe monitary difference from Tison." she told the woman with a grin.
Well she was good at it then. Maybe Redd would have liked her a bit more if she hadn't thought she was dead and she wasn't trying to shove a kid on her. Usually she could respect bitches. She herself was a b***h and she knew it. Both brows arched at the offer. "Seriously? You sure?" She asked. "This stuff is expensive as Hell! Naia..." The girl looked up at Rouge with wide red eyes, lower lip trembling just a bit. Really? All these clothes? From a stranger?
"T-thank you, ma'am!" She managed, hugging the clothes a little closer to her along with her doll. Redd frowned slightly, as if disappointed. "If that ship of yours needs cleaning, she can make it up to you that way. Ain't that right?" To which Naia nodded profusely.
"Don't worry. We have a cleaning staff. And as I said. SEVERE monitary difference between here and Tison. Something that's like 200k is like 20 bucks in Tison give or take." the woman said walking to the cash register. "Maybe when she's a bit older she can pay me back by babysitting for Dia." the woman laughed a bit.
"Wow. I think I'd rather move over there if that's how it is." The coyote mused, glancing down to her child and her hoarde. "...She is a good babysitter. You wouldn't believe where I found her. It was a little girl's home. Some chick was raising a heap of girls in this house all by herself and hired me to babysit while she took a ******** shower. I didn't have to do too much, but there was a big ordeal in the end. This one crawled out of the back of my truck like a border-hopper when I got home." A moment's pause. "Dia? That your boy's name?"
"You wouldn't want to live there. The world's kind of screwed up. Best place to actually live is on the Samadueanna if you can't live on gaia. I live in both places really." said, paying for the things and her items as she listened to Redd's story. It was quite interesting. "Not technically. His name is Diyaka. It's Tison for junior. I'm not too good with names and it sounded good enough. So his nickname's Dia."
"S'alright. I've survived some pretty rough places. Guess I'd have to wait for the kids to grow up and leave the kitsu to fend for themselves until I visited." Some mumbling as she mulled it over and quietly scratched the idea. "Diyaka, huh? That's more of a guy's name then. Yeah, I don't really know how good I am. I haven't really had to name but a couple of who I've been raisin'. A lot of them just came with names. That's cool, though. What is he? I mean, mine's water and whatever..."
"Fire." Rouge said with a nod. "If I know my history correctly Water was his younger brother." the woman was cheerful enough. As they got back outside she grinned. "So do you want to drive to the meeting port to get on the ship or would you rather go drop your truck off and have me drive you guys to the ship?" she asked, brushing her long hair back. bleedingrosedg: *blonde not long
"Huh. Looks like it's still the same now. Except no more blood-ties, right?" She glanced to the truck, trying to think over the shorter route. "I'll just drive over there with you now and when you drop me and her back off, we can just drive home. No need to waste all that time. Naia, go get in the truck." The blue-haired girl hesistated, passing a shy glance to Jeremy before hurrying off to do as she was told.
"I don't think so. I'm not really sure." Rouge said. She didn't really know on that matter. "Only person who knew anything was Oracle and she's currently a baby with no memories." Rouge suddenly smiled. "If you can Naia can ride along with me since she seems so interested in Jeremy. I'm sure she'll fit and I have a spare helmet.
"...Kinda sucks." Though whether the coyote meant the fact Oracle had forgot everything or simply got to come back at all it was uncertain. Her gaze was cast over to Jeremy as she thought it over. "Yeah, I guess it's okay. It's safe, right?" She could see the bluenette peering out of the back window at them, already knowing what was being discussed. Redd made a sound somewhere between a laugh and a scoff, shaking her head slightly.
"Yeah. It's magic. You can't fall off unless Jeremy and slash or his owner will you two. And as long as she doesn't try to kill me or pull him apart she can stay on." The woman said with a nod, reaching into her bag and pulling out a helmet. Ah Tison. A place that had backs that shrunk things and pocket dimensions. How she loved her home
"Magic, right. Okay." She lifted her hand, gesturing for Naia to come, which she did. "Leave Sasha with me." Redd told her, plucking the eyeless doll from her before nudging her Rouge's way. "Be good and don't pull Jeremy apart, brat. I just told Miss Rouge here that she can paddle your a** if you're bad, got it?" Naia didn't seemed phased by the choice words, nodding and smiling shyly up at her new temporary caretaker. That said, Redd dug the keys to the pick-up out of her pocket and went to get in the truck.
Rouge gave the girl the helmet and helped her get it on and adjusted. Then the two got on the cycle and drove off, staying near enough to Redd's truck that the woman would be able to see where they were going, but also staying far enough ahead and fast enough that the child got to enjoy the thrill of riding on the monstercycle. Before long they reached the ship-which was HUUUUUUUUUUUGE and from theoutside looked like it belonged in star trek only it was too large and sleek for that so maybe it was star wars-anyway they got there and were let on-they weren't beamed up though. It was landed so they just got to walk through and opening hatch and wheel Jeremy in. Inside a young woman with long red hair came out. She was carrying a baby boy under one arm and a baby girl under the other. The girl had pale green skin and green hair the looked kind of like leaves. The boy on the other hand had jet black hair and looked fairly human. He had similar ears to Rouge except the ears on all three of them stood up instead of drooped. But they had the same nose exactly only his was smaller. He was a cutiepie and started squealing and holding out his arms for Rouge when she walked in.
When Redd got out of the truck, she was greeted by the child she'd allowed allowed to go ahead, her hair ruffled by the helmet but no worse for wear. Patting the girl, she became aware that she was trembling just a little from the aftershock of the ride. Never been on anything that badass, huh? The girl and boy were eyed along with the new woman, a smirk soon crossing her features. "They're cute." She commented as they boarded the ship, which was ******** huge, but something she'd managed to gawk at previously with her last misadventure.
"The little boy is mine. This is Diyaka." she said, picking him up and carrying him near. "And this is my friend, Tan Pan Murica. She's the ship linguist and a part-time chef. And that's the child she was given. We haven't got a clue what she is goddess of though." Rouge laughed a bit, snuggling Dia. The boy smiled and waved at the two new comers, gigglign a bit. Rouge led them down a hall to what seemed to be the mess hall. A guy sat there, his long furry dog ears pointing up from the sides of his head. It must be a Tison thing. Strange that Rouge had droopy ears. Redd should ask her about that. Not even Rouge's mother had had those and Rouge was a dead wringer for her mom.

xxxcloset_monsterxxx: Another hard day of work- one that had her coming home at an ungodly hour of the morning while the whole house was still. Doing well not to make much of a sound while bolting the door shut (sometimes it seemed as if she were trying to keep things from getting out rather than in), Redd scaled the stairs and made it to her room, where she promptly threw herself upon her bed. She was still fully clothed, but she honestly could care less how healthy it supposedly was. After discarding her studded belt, the coyote shoved her nose deep into the pillows and attempted to quell the raging headache throbbing behind her temples. With such conditions hammering at her, it didn't take long before she finally passed out. Off, off, out of the bedroom, over the stars... The demon gave herself to the world of dreams, unaware of what awaited her. bleedingrosedg: LIttle did she know what she'd jsut released herself to. From her body she floated, the relic around her neck seeming to go with her. But of course itw as just the soul within the relic in it's form just as Redd was just a soul right then. She could look down and see her body-still asleep so she wasn't dead. Good-and to her right there was a ghostly door that seemed to beckon for her to open it. The strange glow of the relic told her it was the doing of the deity and time to get the kid. xxxcloset_monsterxxx: An out-of-body experience seemed to be nothing new to her. The fact she'd taken that little gem with her... Eh, must be part of the dream. Looking passively down at her body, Redd scoffed slightly and shook her head upon hearing herself beginning to snore. Well, off through the city or wherever the dreamland decided to take her... Of course she became aware of the door almost as soon as it had appeared, eying it judgementally. Well, this was something a little new, as far as things up in the air went. Curiously, she stepped towards it and stuck out her arm, which hit solidly upon the frame. Yes, definitely odd. The relic had began to glow like a small beadon for her attention, eyes a lighter shade than the gem itself looking over it with apprehension. She'd been told about this, hadn't she? It was time to get the brat now? What a wasted dream. Mood practically spoiled -though she was was a little excited to see what would happen despite xxxcloset_monsterxxx: herself- she reached out with a clawed hand and pulled the handle to open the door.(d) bleedingrosedg: Beyond the door seemed to be a giant oceanic kingdom. Crystaline turrets of a giant castle floated hither and yon. And there, hanging from one of them, lay a young merman. He looked like one anyway. His tails was like that of a decorative koi fish of some sort but his body was strong looking with a sleek appearance that signified grace and strength all in one. A person would have to admire this elegant being. His ears were strangely shaped on the edges and he had an odd nose. His eyes were open but seemed to be glazed over and there were bruises on his neck and a bloodied triton in his hand. It was obvious that someone had found a way to drown the god of water though they'd probably gotten a horrible wound doing so. xxxcloset_monsterxxx: ((You can drown the water god? xDD)) bleedingrosedg: ((as I said. he'd found some way to do it)) bleedingrosedg: ((you'll have to find out how he did that later on. :3 one of the meta events is the people will go as a group and end up seeing how the deities died and in what order)) xxxcloset_monsterxxx: ((Kekekekeke xDD *b*****d*)) bleedingrosedg: ((XDDD)) xxxcloset_monsterxxx: Redd gazed over the wreckage, blinking at the form that was draped on some of the debris. If there was ever an example of a humanoid, dead goldfish... At first, she didn't want to move, content to watch the stuff float along. Eventually she did move, though, jumping from chunk to chunk of the floating remains until she reached the fallen god. Looking down upon him, she did concede that he was indeed beautiful, and probably young to boot. Her mouth drew into a thin line as she circled the corpse, remarkably clean aside from those nasty bruises. Finally dropping to a knee beside the merman, Redd reached out to cover his eyes, mumbling incoherently to herself as she prepared to shut his eyelids for good.

What the hell was this place supposed to be, anyway? It looked like the center of that Battle Star Craptacula that triplets usually had to watch whenever they were over and thuroughly s**t-faced. More of a Star Wars man himself, Finesse cast a critical eye quickly over the ship before turning to the woman he'd recently met.
"So who do I gotta talk to in this place?" He was bristling, and yet he was hopeful. He wouldn't be less than polite to the half-demon who had been kind enough not to smear him on the sidewalk when he hit her with his car, however. Nothing more than cold and professional to that b***h who had deemed it necessary to kill Tsunake, if it really was true. "The captain of the ship," Redd said coolly, uncrossing her arms as she passed. "You can come with me, Grigori. I know this place enough to know where you can find her--" She was all bristled fur when a gunshot rang off behind her, clanging against the metal far overhead.
"Whoever it is can come here. I'm not here to manhunt her if I don't have to." Finesse lowered the pistol calmly, ignoring the annoyed snarl from Redd. How ******** irritating, the brunette thought to herself, eventually just waving it off.
"Whatever. If you get shot with some laser for denting the ceiling..."
The gunshot was enough to catch the brunette's attention, his eyes narrowing faintly while his lips curled back to expose his recently-filed teeth. Someone had a weapon? His shoulders hunched, Ithai silently swept from the room, casting a silent look at the green-haired girl on the bed. Sauda had been scribbling faintly on a piece of paper, not exactly concerned with yet another strange noise echoing within the belly of the massive ship. No, she was concerned for her mother, who, after growing visibly upset over something, had ordered both her and Ithai away so she could be by herself. "A stranger's come." Ithai spoke quietly, his gleaming eyes fixed down the hallway. Pale fingers twitched, and one hand unconsciously slipped to the hilt of his knife that was strapped to one thigh, caressing it idly.
Sauda frowned and swung her legs over the bed, dusting off her green pants and straightening her skirt. "A stranger?" Making her way over to Ithai, she peered down the hallway, and saw no one. The chrome floors and walls sparkled innocently, giving no sign as to who might have come. "You sure?" Ithai said nothing, his movements light as he made to slip down the ship's floor and investigate. Sauda snatched at his hand, dark fingers interlocking with his pale ones, holding firm even when he made an irritated sound and tried to shake her off. Both the handcuffs and the gloves that Ithai usually wore had been left, stowed away in some hidden place that only he knew so that they would not jingle as he began his hunt. Together, Ithai slightly ahead, they crept down the halls, with Sauda's grip tightening occasionally whenever her imagination got the better of her.
Oh, she could see them now...Two people. Without warning, Ithai straightened, irritation mingled with disgust flashing over his features when he realized that the hunt had been lost. Confusion blooming across her own face, Sauda took another hesitate step closer--and made a delighted sound of surprise. "Hey! Mister!" The green-haired girl chirped brightly, letting go of Ithai to dash over. The sight of the gun didn't make her pause, but she stared curiously at it for a moment--then glanced at the other woman as well. Oh! She had a tail! And ears! "I didn't think we'd get to see you here!" The girl folded her hands behind her back, rocking on the balls of her bare feet. Ithai hung back, silent and sulky as he looked the pair over. How did he get here? And who was this new one...? Golden eyes lingered on the fur for a moment, before Ithai looked away with apparent disinterest. He had little use for such small tidbits.
Finesse perked upon seeing the flash of green, turning his head. The voice told him it was only a kid and not possibly whatever woman had managed to pick up a whole house. And a familiar kid at that. "Sauda... Sauda!" Blinking away the darkened quality to his eyes, the man's stance seemed to change almost completely in an act that made Redd give him a moment longer of consideration. What was he, retarded? Was he really a friend of Tsunake's?
The Italian crouched slightly, enough so that he was level with her. "Hey doll, how many times I gotta tell you it's Finesse?" Ah, he felt like reaching out and hugging the child, but refrained. He'd caught sight of Ithai. "'ey, there's a fierce mug. What're you doin' hidin' back there, kid? C'mere. Ithai, Sauda, this is Miss..."
"Redd. Just Redd." The coyote told them, looking over each one. Neither were familiar, though the little girl did have a certain quality about her that reminded her of someone. Big eyes... In a way, they both reminded her of someone. Who was it... As if feeling what Ithai was thinking, those fur ears flicked back against her skull, lip curling enough that a mature canine could be flashed. She'd punt the brat across the room if he tried to attack her- she didn't care whose kid he was.
"Where's your mother?" Finesse pressed, his shoulders tensing beneath his suit despite his effort to look calm and happy.
Sauda grinned slightly, abashed, swaying back and forth as he kneeled to look at her. "A few more times, Mister." It just felt weird calling him Finesse. That's what mom called him. And kids weren't supposed to call their parents by their first name. Not like he was her dad or anything--but he sort of felt like it sometimes. Ithai bore his teeth back silently in response when the woman's ears pinned back, lightly picking his way closer when he was beckoned. Redd. Golden eyes flickered stoically to the woman's face, noting her features. Redd. Hmph. When Finesse asked his question, Ithai shifted slightly, sensing the change in mood. "Not here." His response was blunt, but soft, as it usually was, and without another word, the preteen twisted and slipped back down the hallway, apparently going back to brood in his room.
Sauda sighed slightly, murmuring something that sounded faintly like 'nice to meet you' under her breath. "Mom's here." She corrected, chewing lightly at her bottom lip. "She's back that way." One hand pointed to where Ithai had disappeared. "She's acting...weird though, Mister. She won't come talk to us." Sauda obviously had no idea what to do, or how to fix it--when she'd tried to make the door slide open automatically, like the others did, it wouldn't.
Not here. Oh, his face almost fell at that. She was really dead, then? She was-- oh, alright. ********' punk, lying to him like that. Or just not telling the whole truth- that was his boy! The dark man frowned a little at the girl's explanation, worrying once again. Pale fingers reached out, combing through the green strands in an attempt to be soothing before patting her shoulder. "Well, you go back to what you were doin', okay Princess? Miss Redd and I are gonna go talk to your mom."
Redd only grunted her ascent, staring after Ithai grumpily until he disappeared. Huh. Not waiting for Finesse, the coyote stepped around them and traveled down the hall, using her keen nose to try and hound the woman down. A lizard or something, she remembered that much, the other woman reminded her of some sort of desert snake. Finesse had to follow, not wanting to be lost down the hall. Up ahead, he could hear the metallic ringing of knuckles against steel.
"Hey b***h, you try and strangle yourself yet with that collar?" The brunette called, feeling bitter at the mention of a relic. At least now she had a kid to take care of. Not that that was really any better. The mafia member edged up beside her, tapping the door with the muzzle with his gun before slipping it back beneath his coat.
"Tsu? You in there?"
The gentle touches seemed to be enough to restore the little girl's spirits for the moment. He'd make everything better, right? He'd be able to pull the door open even if it still wouldn't open--he and the other lady. "Okay." Sauda said uncertainly, glancing at the two of them for a moment before heading back to her room. She didn't feel like drawing any more...Maybe she could pester Ithai or something. And then maybe they could see if the doors would open, finally...but somehow, Sauda doubted it.
The metallic sound echoed softly within the next room--and faintly, one could hear a shift of thick coils, a rasping, throaty hiss of unmistakable warning drifting from between rows of glistening, acid-ridden fangs. A dull scraping sound inside made the metal walls squeal with pain, and, with a rustling sound, all movement ceased yet again. Besides, of course, for the rough and ragged panting that wheezed from a pair of inhumanely large lungs...
"What the hell?" Redd mumbled, pressing an ear to the door when she imagined some sort of hissing through the door. "Huh..."
"Tsu? You alright in there?" The male called, following suit. "It's me, Finesse. And Redd. C'mon, baby, open the door. The kids are worried 'bout you. I--"
"If you don't open this door, I'm ******** busting through it! Don't hiss at me! This ******** hit me with his CAR he was so a**l about you. I know people! You don't want that kid, I know a guy that'll take it. Otherwise, suck it up! Let. Us. In!" The heel of her foot was slammed hard into the steel, pounding with each of the final words.
"Redd, don't do--"
"YOU shut the hell up! You want me to rip you in half and check for a spine, huh?" She turned to Finesse and winked slightly, settling the man only a little.
They wouldn't leave...The relic itself was drawn taut against those thick, near-impenetrable black scales, unable to break due to whatever magic had bound it, but still digging straight into the flesh. With each pounding of Redd's foot against the door came a series of flapping, like large wings beating ferociously in rage. And inside, the monster screamed a challenge, the sound vibrating against the walls, grating higher and higher until it cut off when the wyvern lunged at the door, fangs punching dents into the metal. Acid hissed from its gaping maw, sizzling and pitting the shiny floors, but the monster did not spit, not right away. No, it was hoping to drive off the intruders, that elongated neck curling back and hunching slightly, glaring eyes set deep within its thick skull, wings drawn tightly to its thick body. A mane of silver rippled down its body, quite possibly the only thing that marked it similar to its human form.
But then, the beast gave pause, seeming to consider something as it offered another wheezing hiss of threatening rage. The names were...familiar. Vague, jumbled thoughts floating through the wyvern's mind, but, snapping its jaws irritably, it chased them away. Lowering its head slightly, the monster slammed its ram-like horns into the door, causing it to squeal and whine on its hinges, bulging outward and cracking them open a little from the strain.
"Holy..." Brows arched as the creature within screeched and rammed the door. Pale blue eyes shifted to Finesse, who had understandably backed up in some sort of preparation. "You think you could take that?"
"Where's Tsunake?" The dark man demanded, looking as if it were Redd's version of a cruel joke to bring him to this particular room. "Did that thing... did it EAT her?"
Redd laughed, warily beginning to shift down the hall. If that gap got any bigger, screw this, she was gone. "Right. Because they really got some pissed-off lizard stuck behind a random door..." There was a responding cry from the metal as a single bullet buried itself within the bending steel. He wasn't shooting at it as much as he was trying to snap it out of its little trance of rage. Maybe -but doubtfully- make it consider about coming out. "Hey, calm down! We ain't here to fight."
"Good one." Redd sneered. "Piss her off some more, huh?"
"What're you on, lady? Huh?"
As the bullet slammed into the door, the monster jerked its head back--flinched. And then, the howl of outrage stretched itself past its gaping jaws, the scream sounding dry and strangled thanks to the golden chain twinkling ominously around its dark skin. Wings, not unlike a bat's, scrabbled at the door, claws seizing at the metal through the crack, trying to force the doors open. He'd shot at ...her! Fury that was not entirely the wyvern's now enabled it to scream again, scythed tail lashing furiously, ripping at the metal on the walls and ceiling. There was a squeal as the doors slid open--just so that massive snout could thrust itself in between, snapping ferociously at anything it could reach, acid spilling out of either side of its maw. With another horrendous crunch, the wyvern thrust its head forward, blunt tongue twitching and twisting...
Without warning, the violent onslaught ceased. A deep-throated growl of indecision drifted from the monster, bulbous eyes swiveling trying to see what exactly was out there. Something smelled...familiar. Familiar...Those long jaws were twisted slightly, nostrils flaring as the wyvern's tongue flickered out from between its teeth, like both tongue and nose were working to pinpoint the scent. The creature suddenly moaned, a dry, rasping sound, before it withdrew its head, taloned feet pressing against the scuffed metal as it shifted back and away from the door, wings flaring as it reared up inside of the room. And then, as though realizing for a second time who was actually out there, the wyvern nimbly twisted its thick head, jaws bumping through the door so it could get a look at the man.
A great sigh huffed its way out of the wyvern's slightly parted jaws, the burning flicker in its eyes dying away to a dull throb. "You." The creature rasped unexpectedly, its tone deep, sibilant and almost accusatory. "I know you….yet…Who are you?"
The damn thing was out! Redd edged off down the metal hallway, almost at liberty to gawk as the mafia man merely backed up to avoid the acid. When the wyvern suddenly stopped, she did, though it was likely she wasn't noticed. She wouldn't want to be. Finesse himself was nearly quivering with excitement at being so close to something that could gobble him up like a mere snack. He gripped his gun instead, able to quell the urge with that much. Then it spoke.
"You uh... you think you know me?" He asked, blinking. Unless he was s**t-faced drunk enough not to remember his own name, he didn't think he'd forget meeting a... was it a dragon or something? "I'm Finesse. Finesse Grigori. It ain't like I just go botherin' people's doors all the time but... we got told a friend was in there. Is there anyone else in there with ya? If ya don't mind me askin'..."
The pupils of the beast's enormous eyes dilated without warning, as though trying to take in every sight that they possibly could right now. A low, rasping hiss rumbled deep in the monster's chest when he spoke his name, and the wyvern tried to jerk its head back, a screech of recognition bounding off the metal walls. Wings frantically scrabbled from the inside, trying to clutch at either side of the wyvern's horned head, but were unable to fit outside. "Inside," It spat, nostrils flaring for a moment with pain, "Someone inside..." Oh yes, there was someone inside--but the wyvern had misunderstood what Finesse had meant. There was a painful ripping sound, and hunks of black scales seemed to quite literally tear themselves off the monster's body, only earning a muted, high-pitched whine of pain.
The beast thrashed for a moment, beginning to shrink in size and length, its silver mane fanning out and engulfing the humanoid form that was beginning to emerge from underneath. The missing person in question was soon huddled on the floor, sitting with her knees pulled up to her chest, her face buried into them. She was clothed, yet her skin was rubbed raw, an angry, throbbing shade of red--a result from the rapid transformations that she'd been undertaking while on the ship. Tsunake wordlessly tipped her head up to observe both of them, her eyes still bright yellow, and feral. After a moment, they flickered and faded, deepening into the normal blue of the mostly human woman. "Finesse." She named him, her words eerily soft and rasped. And Redd, too...
"Yeah. Someone maybe in the corner--" And suddenly, the beast was beginning to tear itself open from the inside, shedding scales all over. Woah. Just... Finesse moved unconsciously, his right hand making the catholic cross motion over his chest despite the fact the gun happened to be in the aforementioned hand. "Ye though I walk through tha valley of tha shadow of death..."
That thing was getting smaller. That thing was getting human. Finesse mouthed silently, before clenching his jaw shut. Stop! Rewind! Sloooooow motion. What on God's green Gaia just happened? Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Redd moving, peeking into the door. "She back yet?" WHAT? Had she known all along? And she didn't feel like TELLING him?
But Finesse was beyond anger at the moment, his attention focused on Tsunake and just how fevered she looked. Never mind the eyes. When she spoke his name, he moved, taking long strides that were almost a run towards the dented door.
"Tsu? Doll?" He implored, his cold features creasing suddenly with vibrant worry. The pistol was shoved away into the waistband of his pants and boldy, the man stepped into the disoriented room towards her. "You okay?" He was next to her now, sinking into a crouch. Behaving himself for now, he kept his hands to himself for a moment, looking her over.
Not just fevered--like someone had taken sandpaper and simply rubbed a few layers of her skin away. Or as though she'd been burned...He'd moved so quickly that her eyes glazed for a moment, unable to track him right away until he'd stopped moving again, now on the floor beside her. His question was met with a disorientated stare, and cracked lips parted for a moment, frazzled silver hair clinging to anything it could reach. "...Tired." She finally said, her head lolling forward so her forehead could gently rest on her knees, drained both physically and mentally after tearing away from the wyvern's grasp. After a moment, Tsunake forced herself to look up again, a ghost of her former scowl transformed into nothing more than a partial frown, "Why're you here...?" She didn't understand, but obviously was in no mood to listen, either.
Yes, she did look a mess... but she was alive. That was what mattered first and foremost. First a house getting dropped on her like a bad Wizard of Oz spoof, then potentially being eaten by a wyvern... Yeah. He bet she was exhausted. As to the whole transforming thing... well, he'd get it out of her later. Right now, it seemed like a touchy subject. "I... I heard you was dead. Some lady I hit with my car said you might be here..." Because if Tsunake wasn't disoriented before... "What's that?" Boldly, he reached out, touching the sun-shaped amulet about her neck.
"Was dead." She corrected firmly, her tongue feeling thick and not wanting to let her speak properly. Wait...he'd hit someone with his car? Bloodshot eyes lifted themselves to Redd for a moment, wondering if she'd been the unfortunate victim. And if that was the case, well, she was surprised that Finesse could still walk. Finesse might be able to see the markings around her neck where she'd unsuccessfully tried to rip the amulet off before, and, despite drawing back a little at his fingers, there were no attempts to break his hand. "Dead goddess." Tsunake sounded tired again, her arms coming up to curl uncertainly around his own, "Another ******** kid."
Was dead? Was dead was dead was-- she didn't look like a zombie. Even though she was here, he could imagine that his blood was beginning to heat up. "Who did it? You wanna give me the names and we can kill them a couple times, eh?" He offered, his observations flickering down to her neck. They'd smacked a collar on her, too?! Behind him, Redd felt Tsunake's gaze and idly lifted her chin, folding her arms before she leaned back against the wall. As far as she could see, the man was handling the situation. She wasn't good with that kind of stuff.
Just why did all sorts of weird s**t happen to Tsu? A dead goddess? Well, if she was dead, how could she be a baby... Of course, the concept of reincarnation fell short on him, who had been told there was no such thing and had no experience of seeing anyone like that. But what surprised him, of course, were her arms around his. For a moment, his expression was mixed, as if he were waiting for her to pop his arms out of their sockets. When it didn't happen, he leaned forward a bit so that he was shifted onto his knees, his hands carefully placing themselves on her shoulders. "...S'alright, babe. You can get through it- I'll help if you wanna.... What about your house?" It had looked pretty bad.
Despite herself, the woman felt a rueful smile tugging at her lips, dropping her head so silver hair cascaded in front of her face, hiding it from view. And she thought she was protective. Her eyes didn't flicker to Redd, but a silent wave of appreciation rippled through the demon reincarnate--she needed Finesse right now. The hands on her shoulders earned a brief wince, her skin still irritated and quite sore. Other than that, Tsunake allowed them to stay, lifting her head to peer quietly through her bangs.
"I know." She said quietly, quirking a brow at his offer to help, but was too tired to sneer right now. Or mention how often he slacked off with Ithai...but, he did come when he could, so that was all that mattered, right? "I don't know." Tsunake sounded slightly regretful, shaking her head. "Wouldda knocked it down myself...but I don't know what I'm gonna do with the kids..." One hand came to try and bat some of her frazzled locks into submission, failing miserably before it finally paused. Hesitantly, it extended to cup one side of Finesse's face, jittery, like he might pull away and it'd be left with nothing but air. "...Christ." Tsunake shook her head a little, wearily directing her gaze off to the mangled door. "...Kids are all right?" Jesus, she hoped they had Eolian with them...
Yes, he did come when it was possible. It wasn't like him to make a commitment and not actually... commit. Dirty as the jobs he was responsible for often were, his promises weren't easily broken or unfulfilled. Now, he was prone to slacking if the issue wasn't terribly serious... but that wasn't a subject to get into at the moment. "Well, you probably shouldn't be stayin' here... These're the people that, eh, killed you, right?" It took a trembling hand to the side of his face to finally realize that damn, Tsunake was pretty ill right now. Finesse gave a small swallow, but didn't move his head away, grazing the corner of his lips against her thumb before reaching up with one hand to attempt closing over his face.
"What's he got ta do with it?" He joked lamely, referring to her Christ statement. He cracked a small smile, assuring her "They're fine. Worried about their Ma, but seem just as good as ever."
Mm, well, if Finesse had been the type of man to break his promises...Tsunake wasn't one who took being lied to in stride. A growl stirred quietly in her throat at the mention of the people on the ship--but they hadn't exactly been responsible for killing her, had they? "Close enough." The hand lingered for a moment longer, then snapped itself away as the other rose, twitching a little as it tried to shake off the last remnants of contact. "Have to find somewhere else to go, though..." Her entire body was stinging, and she shifted faintly with discomfort, resisting the urge to rake at her skin with sharp nails. Blue eyes drifted faintly over Finesse's face, as though just realizing he'd been worried about her. Stupid, stupid man--she should have counted herself lucky that he'd stayed, even after seeing her less than loving side.
Something akin to a glower was offered to the dark-haired man, and she shook her head irritably, sighing as her head dropped once more. Kids were safe, then...So that was step one. All that was left was actually finding a new place to live, and moving off this ship.
Surprisingly, the hand snapping itself away was the first little sign that made him begin to feel a bit more relieved. She was beginning to go back to normal... even if that did mean she was throwing on her hard exterior again. And yes, about that 'less loving side'- they needed to talk about that sooner or later. Right now, Finesse was mulling over which hotel would be okay with allowing a bunch of animals and some psycho child with a knife in it. Then he figured, hey! "You could... Eh heh. You could come...live with me? Just till you get back on your feet and get another place. Won't charge ya a dime if you don't want." Behind him, Redd discretely shut her mouth, and looked away so she could conceal a smirk. Oh, this was amusing... But if she didn't have to make the offer of shelter herself, it was alright. Even if it did make her feel a bit queasy. Affection. Ew.
Her eyes hardened almost immediately, looking at him closely to see if he was asking to be smacked or not. "With you?" Tsunake sounded suspicious, as though knowing there was some sort of loop hole in this little deal, but didn't know what. Immediately, pride told her to refuse, having no need for the comforts of human life--but while she might not need a place to live, the kids did. Wearily, she settled, sending a harsh glare at Redd for a moment, having forgotten she was there. Great. "...Fine. What about the rest of your..." What'd they call them in the movies? "...Family?" Her eyes narrowed ruefully for a moment. She'd either A, have to meet them, or B, they'd mind her free-loading off of Finesse for a while. Hey, it wasn't like she planned on staying there for more than she had to, right?
"Well yeah, I kinda gotta live in my house too..." He replied, grinning sheepishly. Ah, had that been rude of him? He didn't think so. If he got asked his motive, he'd easily say the kids were the cause for his concern. For the most part, it was true- there was no way he'd just stand by while a child wandered the street. Tsu didn't have to live there if she didn't want, but her kids needed somewhere to go home to... Luckily, there wasn't an argument about that much. When questioned about his family, he glanced discretely towards Redd, who flicked an ear with feigned indifference. "Well, they do visit sometimes, and sometimes I can't tell 'em not to. I'll make sure to keep the noise down while you're gettin' your beauty rest." Redd coughed a couple hacking noises from the back of her lungs, ignoring Tsunake's glare for the most part. Oh yes, my fellow b***h, you are so getting s**t for this later.
A rough scoff came from that--that hadn't been what she'd meant, damn it! Whatever. She caught the glance to Redd and fixed another irritable stare on the half-demon, willing her to at least keep her mouth shut for now. Just you wait, you miserable whore--say one word, and she was gonna have to choke a b***h. Ahh, wait, Redd didn't know about Finesse, did she? Tsunake held her tongue in that respect, her tone turning sweet as she responded with, "Beauty sleep wasn't what I was concerned about--it'd be the bullet holes." Damned if she was going to saunter in a place that was just gonna shoot her up because of it. With an irritated sound at her own weakness, Tsunake hauled herself unsteadily to her feet, fixing a narrowed stare on Finesse this time. "If they keep the kids up, though, don't think I won't beat the s**t out of them." It was mostly bluff, from the way her hands and shoulders remained relaxed. But, she was indeed serious about letting the kids get some sleep: Ithai got a little high-strung whenever he didn't at least get an hour or two...
