Yes, this is very early to start a new thread, and to become an X-Skeptic. But, would you help me out and:
1. Explain what Wiccan is
2. How do I do "spells" that won't send a Christian to Hell
3. I am pestimistic, does this affect anything. Seeing that I tried a "lonely person" spell, so they wouldn't be lonely, and I could only see an isolated, sobbing person in an empty dark room.
4. Explain more aobut Magick.
5. How do I do this!!!???!!!

Ikes, I might be Wiccan after all! I always beleived, or hoped, that we would have other lives. Heavan would seem to get boring after, uh, forever.

I think in my belief, all religions are truly one. Up until the invention of Aethism, everyone beleived in a god of a sort, a heavan of a sort, and a hell of a sort. Why? Because either everyone is correct in atleast one way, or there is a True Religion that fell and broke into the various religions of today. This would of happened probably shortly after Adam and Eve were thrown out of the Garden, and once we can reenter the Garded, we will once again be unified in the True Religion.

PS-Don't think about infinity and whatnot. I have been cursed with the burden of thinking about it all, against my will. At Church Camp, a counsleour "healed" me for up to probably the beginning of December. Now I am cursed again.

Our beliefs are true to ourselves. We know that just because we believe something doesn't make it true for other people and we don't flatout tell other people that their beliefs are wrong, we might disagree with them yes, but we never flatout tell them they're wrong, because then we'd be hiporcrytes (I know I totally just butchered the spelling in that word). At least that's how a lot (maybe not all) of people in this guild and in Wicca are.

Alright I am not saying your belifes are wrong but I have learned that messing around in dark arts, and black magic. Is something you dont want to do. The Devil in my mind is just a consperacy brought up by christains to scare them to belive or to go to hell. And get rosted on his pitch fork. But I do belive in Yin eniergies. Negative energies. And I was involved in them for some long time. You dont want to go there.

Technically speaking, the devil did exist before Christianity because the Jews believed in him. That is, if you consider Lucifer, the Devil and Satan to be the same things.

The Bible, has in fact, been tampered with. For one, it's only a translation. Any translator is capable of mistakes. There are also essays and stories that have once been in the Bible, but are no longer, are known as the Apokrypha and are widely available. Try asking in your library, or googling on the Internet. One option, and one of the few I trust, is this. Or [x].If you still chose to believe that it isn't true, then you can bury yourself in the history books and read about the Council of Trent. After you know all that, it's your choice if you chose to believe in history as it happened, or not. And like I said before, the Vulgate is only a translation. The originals were in Hebrew and Aramaic. If I'm not mistaken there was also a greek translation before that. Meaning the english Bible is just a translation of a translation (possibly, of a translation). My point being, any translator can make mistakes. [x] The messages of the Bible definitely aren't bad though. How history interpreted it, is a little extreme, but you get extremes everywhere. If you take it with a grain of salt, it's all good. To each his own.

I don't believe in heaven, I don't believe in hell. Faith is usually raised on you and it was never raised on me. I like Christianity for the stories, I like all sorts of mythologies and fairy tales.

I don't like Christian bashing and I find it stupid how most newbies, when they come to Wicca, reject everything that even remotely smells of Judeo-Christianity. I was rather surprised to see you didn't.

I think baluk's point was what a lot of us believe, that there are no coincidences. It usually comes tied to the belief of fate, a task to do in your life, or something equally mind blowing. A lot of people don't like that thought because they're scared of not being in control of their lives... And there's a lot of people who like the thought because they prefer to blame it on some higher entity or an abstract idea, such as fate.
