Okay, first of all, being "partially gothic" has nothing to do with being interested in the Occult, Magic, and "stuff". That's just a stupid stereotype.

The second thing, there are a lot of people who don't believe in this kind of stuff, therefore, they can't do this kind of stuff, and it doesn't exist.

The third thing... everyone (you, me, your mom, your neighbor, your best friend, your hard-core Christian friend) is born with "special abilities", such as precog and whatever else you can think of. It's just that some of us, mainly those of us who think it's all fake, don't have it as strongly as others. And it takes a lot of time and patience to learn most abilities. You can't just pick up a book or sign up on a website and learn how to do something within the first day, even weeks of trying.... it could take years to master certain special abilities.

With Astral Projection.... we all do it involuntarily at night. Have you ever been awoken with that feeling like you were being thrown onto your bed or falling onto your bed? That's what that is.... it's your Astral body quickly reintering your physical body because it felt threatened for whatever reason. This is because we dream in the Astral Plane. But, learning how to do it willingly could take you a year or more to master... maybe less if you're lucky.

But, the key thing to learning any ability is to believe that you can do it, in your heart and mind. You have to have the right mindset to be able to master it. If you don't truly believe that you can do it, then you will never be able to do it.... which means that your first step to learning any kind of ability is to get rid of your skepticism.

And so because you're interested in the Occult and magic, that makes you a "goth"? And some "goths" actually are rich and really do worship Satan.... and some of them are also Christians. No two people are the same. Just because they all dress the same doesn't mean that they're all interested in the Occult and magic. Just as being interested in the Occult and magic doesn't make a person "gothic". I'm interested in magic and I'm not "gothic".... do you see where I'm going with this? And actually, most people who say that they're a "goth" actually aren't. But, that's the end of that argument. Why? Because it's stupid and it won't go anywhere. You believe what you like to believe and I will believe what I like to believe. K?

Back to the point of this thread... Sleep walking has nothing to do with Astral Projection. Whenever you're dreaming, your Astral body is away from your physical body. Therefore, if you dream every night, then you Astral Project every night.... and we usually don't remember our Astral bodies actually leaving our physical bodies...

O.O wow okie im confused. Alright your soul cant be traped. It is not your soul that leves your body its your concies body. Next id your soul was traped you would have no emotion no memory of the past.

As far as I was aware, goths were groups of people who wore the whole black clothing get up and committed mass suicide (which is why people thought they were satanic) back in the 1980s. In any case, may I remind you that we're not here to discuss teenage stereotypes.

As far as I can tell, paraboles isn't a word - I think that's what Maggie meant when she asked you to explain.

What Urishima Kazama means by "parabole", I suppose, is in fact parable or an allegory. I'm pretty sure you're familiar with the term, it's a short story with a moral, an allegory for something else.

I can see why it makes no sense though. It isn't really relevant to anything. Anybody can do that, it's just a way of speaking, paraphrasing something so someone could understand it better.

Knowing more than my fair share of Goths, to me, gothic is a combination of a set of interests, clothing, music and so on. If it's just the mindset, liking blood and such, then a person isn't gothic but he or she is morbid. To me. It's a subculture, just like metalheads or punx, or hippies... But within the main frames of the subculture you have a million different individuals, like Maggie said. And I also agree that this isn't the place to discuss teen stereotypes, if you'd like to do that you can go into the Sitting Hall and do it there. The thread should stay at least somewhat relevant to the topic.

Also, I find it a little silly of you to ask us, to help you become a believer. We're not here to convert anyone to our "wicked little ways"... I don't find it especially worth bothering to try to convince you that Wicca, or in my case, paganism, is the best possible relegion and the only true one. We don't do that. It's a part of the Wiccan belief system to let anyone believe what they want, to let them find their own path. Why do you feel you ought to believe if you don't?

You say you know nobody who has seen or done this or that. Do you know anybody who has seen an angel or has been spoken to by God? If you have been, as you claim, then why do you seek more evidence? Relegions are based on faith, very rarelly on facts. Maybe with Buddha... I have seen enough evidence for me to believe. I probably wouldn't need any anyway.
