Sand sand sand! It's so annoying! Sukari thought, a scowl spread across her face. She had gone too far south... Too far from finding her mother. She changed her course more north and continued, wondering if her mother was alone, or had finally found that oh-so-precious mate of hers. The one that was worth more than all of her children, her family.
"Idiot," Sukari said to herself, furthering her hatred towards her mother.
A wind blew across the sands, pelting her face with sand. She cursed and closed her eyes, waiting for that wind to stop. When she opened them again, she spotted a figure on the horizon, in her path. She intended on going that way, so she continued on.

Of course Liza, didn't much care wheer he was as long as he was some where. It had been a long time since he had seen Nyunya and he was starting to think he had lost his little mistress some where. Perhaps this was how it was supposed to be though? She had been very destracted of late. She hadn't seemed to even want to ask him to do things any more.
Well, getting lost was just as well then, he should really ehad back tot he mistweavers lands, if he could rememebr which direction they were in? Shrugging the big yellow lump, his black and silver tipped mane swooshing in the air as he fell over, quite purposefully and started rolling in the dusty sand. He had seen a warthog do this once, he couldn't remember why it did it, but it looked like fun. So with black tipped paws in the air he rolled around chuckling lightly.
Liza, to say the least was a very big dope, a cub in an adults body really his deep orange eyes full of a nievity that no grown lion should really hold on to. He didn't even notice the dark female approaching him, if he had, he probably would have started cowering already! Liza wasa great beleiver in the grand scheme of things, females were in charge and he had to obay them, that was the way the world worked!

A weird look spread across Sukari's face as she approached the rolling male. He, however, might be of some service. He looked like a mistweaver, the pride to whom she "belonged." Maybe he would know Mwiba, her mother? Or at least her whereabouts.
"Hey you!" Sukari shouted at him as she got closer. "What's your name?" She asked smoothly when she got to a normal talking distance. "I'm Sukari."

Liza stopped his antics the moment he heard the females voice. He rolled to his belly and flattened himself to the ground. "Uh uhm.." he managed his dark orange eyes fixed upon the female before him. "I uh..uhm..Liza Ma'am" he finally managed through his surprised stuttering. He couldn't help but feel that somone was watching him, just as he was thinking about the pride he was supposed to return to, a female apparantly from it's mists appeared. The fates were perhaps watching him?
"H..H..How cccan I buh..buh..be of su survice ma'am?" He wagged his tail as he asked this question, keeping himself squooshed to the floor in a bowing possition. He was very large for a mistweaver, his mother having been a rouge and extremely large ehrself, she had passed this on to her son, though she had certainly not passed on her brains to him. He would always beleive that he should be subserviant to females. That was the way his life worked.

Sukari rather liked being the one in charge in the situation. She smiled at the male's submission with glee. She agreed with his mindset despite the fact she didn't know they shared it, this is the way the world should work.
"Delighted to meet you Liza," Sukari said, in a tone that also said her words were a facade. "Would you happen to know how to get to the Mistweaver lands from here? Or perhaps you would know where a misty named 'Mwiba' would be?" Sukari interrogated, remaining standing. She wanted to keep as little of herself sandy as possible.
She didn't know, either, that Mwiba was already dead, but maybe someone else would. She would hunt for her endlessly until she knew.

Liza gulpped, he knew a wrong answer could mean a clip around the ear. "I have bu..bu..been to the mu..mu..mist weaver ll..lands ma'am b..b..but w..we arn't wu wu welcome any more." His ears twitched against his skull as he said this, was he answering more than her question? He closed his eyes for a moment his body acctually shivering, quivering as he expected her to deal him her own special round of punishments. After all, he hadn't been asked that question.
"I..I..I have nuh..nuh..never heard of th..the lioness ma'am...I..I..I have oh..oh..only been in the muh..muh mistweavers lands for a sho..so..sort tuh time with my muhmuh..mistress.." He licked his lips uncomfortably fully expecting Ny to leap from no where and scold him. He had not seen Ny for almost a moon now, he had well and truely lost his mistress some wheer along the way. "I..Thu..thu..think I am..l..l..lost now..ththo.." he cleared his throat. What was he supposed to do without a mistress and without an orderto follow? He had never been trained to think on his own only to think on others orders and do them.

A look of displeasure spread across Sukari's face. She honestly didn't expect him to know Mwiba, but she did expect him to know where the Mistweaver lands were.
"What do you mean we aren't welcome anymore?" Sukari demanded. "You're saying," she took a step towards him, "That even if I were to make it there, they wouldn't let me in!?"
She wasn't mad at him, but at the situation. She wasn't the type to let anyone know, however. She'd only express her displeasure. She slashed sand off to the side with rage and hissed through gritted teeth.

Liza gulped and he physically jolted as she kicked at the sand. "y..y..yes ma'am th..th..they ..uhm..drought..noones wu..wu..welcome." His ears twitched unhappily, he thougth she was mad at him. He was bearer of bad news after all! She seemed to want to return to their homelands. He did to, but he and Ny had already been thrown out once even though the place was his birth land. "I uh..uhm.." he attempted to find an excuse his lips falling over any words that might excuse him her wrath.
"Pl..please ma'am I'l d..d..do what ever you s..s..say" maybe that would quell the storm that seemed to be raging in the dark female? "I'll be..g..g.good."

Sukari set her paw back on the ground. The anger that was on her face was quickly replaed with interest. "A drought you say?" Sukari said, pacing around the quivering male until she was at his side. "That might just work..." Sukari muttered. Her mother had been such a weakling, she couldn't ever survive a drought! "You're certain there's a serious drought there, are you? One bad enough to kill?" Sukari demanded, looking down at him. This could just make it so she'd never have to go back and face her mother. She smiled again at the idea. You've been very good... she thought.

"yu..yu..yes ma'am..they thr..thr..threw every one ou..ou..out.." He swallowed hard, gulping down the sentence, was he telling her good news or bad news here? He could almost feel those claws coming down on him, but they didn't she did however circle around him and he managed to open his eyes long enough to peer up at the deep tan femme.

Sukari couldn't help but allow her toothy smile curl its way across her muzzle. She knew it then and there. Her mother had to be dead. She, however, wasn't sure how to feel about this development. She had wanted to get her vengence herself, but at the same time, her job was done. She decided this would be a joyous occasion.
She put an arm over the quivering yellow and black ball of fur, (as sandy as it was,) and said, "Liza, you have made my journey a significant amount easier." She laughed a little, glad to have heard this news. "You've done very good," She said. Even though you've essentially done nothing, Sukari added in her mind.

Liza grinned. He'd done good? His tail wagged happily as she said it though her stayed close to the ground, as he was suppsoed to until given permission to rise. "y..y..yes maa'am" he smiled ina dopy manner his sweet deep orange orbs fixed on the dark female in a co-dependant fashion.
"I uh..uhm..am at your su..su..service ma'am." Usually such a statement pleased any female. Of course, he would quite happily leap off a cliff if told to by a female. "if I can bu..bu..be of any o..o..other h..h..hel ma'am .." He trailed off perhaps she didn't want his help? he had found some females didn't want him around. Which was strange for him, he was supposed to be in service after all. They probably already had assistants though, he supposed.

Service, huh? Sukari thought. He could be of use. He could also slow me down... But where am I going, really? With Mwiba no doubt dead...
Sukari hadn't ever been without a goal. For her whole life, it had been getting stronger to defeat her mother. Now that that was impossible... What was she to do next? Why not ask the furball? No. No, what does he know? Sukari thought.
"Rise, Liza." Sukari said tersely. "And tell me one more thing. Do you know of a Pride that values strength above all else?" The words slipped smoothly from her mouth like honey.
Sukari had heard of such a pride before, a while ago, but didn't know its location. She'd certainly like to head such a pride. She'd like to go to war with such a pride, especially if composed of those like herself.

Liza acctually knew the answerto this, he also knew of two prides, one he had been told about by his previous mistress. She had told him of her father, he was a war monger, a tyrant, though Liza didnt know much about anything. he also knew of the firekin, their blood red coats and feirce claws. He rose slowly as he was commanded, sitting, his shoulders towered above Sukari, yet he remained submissive his head bowed.
"y..y...yes ma'am I n..n..know of tw..tw..two, th, though their where..where..wheer abouts are un known to me" he managed, he truethfully didn't know the lands very well, it had been all of a fluke that he had found the mistweavers lands he doubted he would ever find them again, he didnt know wheer he was going to, or where he had come from, he was just, heer now, there was no where else for himt o go and without a power beside himt o demand his service he simply wandered about like a big lummox waiting to see what the world threw at him.

So it does exist... Sukari thought to herself. That was all she needed to know. She would head up one, somehow, and destroy the others. She wouldn't tolerate it.
Or take the others in as underlings. That would work too.
Either way, now she had to deal with the problem at hand, and that was this male. Her mouth tightened as she thought of how to shake him off. Unless he was a complete brute, there was no need of him in her future army... A low quiet growl of frustration came from deep within her, but it's rumble only lasted for a brief while.
"I'll tell you what. You can follow me from a distance, and I'll lead you out of this desert. After that, I don't really want to be followed, unless you're willing to be in wars so serious the earth itself will be blood," She offered. Sukari personally liked fighting, and wanted a pride of her own with which she could conquer.
