first i like to say this is just ideas for troop orginization so the guild captin can see what ideas there are just so lets help him out by posting unit ideas and other types of troop orginization like my idea
4 man squads of 3 soldiers and 1 medic
3 squads and 1 command team per platoon (command team has 3 officers and 1 field surgion)
3 platoons, 1 platoon of support units and 1 senior command team in a company
(support plation consist of mechanics, spies, and etc. but not any non-fighting forces like the science team)
(senior command team has generals and other high ranking officers any where from 3-5 officers with the head doc/mechanic)

I like most of it, just I don't know if we have enough medics to handle it all. But it is a good infantry organazation, how much heavy weaponry do we have you think?

I think four with one medic each is to small, my idea would be as follows(many ideas are yours):
4 man squads w/ 3 standard soldiers, and a heavy weapon user of some kind
3 infantry squads+1 medic squad with 2 meds, one field surgeon, and some security for medical team.
The rest is same as yours.
(Another idea: Due to the number of recruits and lack of numbers in leadership we should use spec. ops. teams for reg. soldiers, and the recruits should be sent in human wave like WWI-WWII Russian, and Japanese soldiers, although care should be taken to reduce the massive casualties sustained in that kind of warfare.)

no never i dont like the idea of human waves to matter what you say about reduceing casulities its not right as my standing as a medic and i due like your idea for troop org. besides the medical squad surgians should be protected and medics are to fight and prevent injured soldiers from dieing till they can be sent back to the surgians area behind the front.

Hmm the ideas are good but here's what I think might work. What would you say if the groups where broken down by platoon. then squads being lower. For instance within a platoon is four squads three battle squads one support squad.
1 platoon= 4 squads 3 squads have (1 team leader, 1 rifleman, 1 heavier weapons specialist(usually machinegunner, mortar or rocket type weapon.), and one weapons support (mechanic or rifleman who carries spare part and ammo for heavy weapon specialist.)) 1 squad ( 2 medics, 1 rifleman, 1 team leader.)
This strategy uses what we call the chain of command for extra support. Highest to lowest= officer, then high ranked people, then someone designated to keep track of everyone on a personal level usually squad leaders and team leaders.
In a battle platoons usually stay together better then companies that's why in mine each platoon has a medic group within it as of opposed to one medical platoon which will most likely be engaged a seperate unit and be unable to assist with the casualties.
1 company= 2 series 1 series(lead/follow)= 2 platoons 1 platoon=four squads 1 squad= 2 fireteams 1 fireteam= 4 people
The chain of command 1. basic person as in rifleman or weapons specialist or whatever. 2. Fireteam leader 3. Squad leader(also a fireteam leader) 4. Platoon Quide (watches whole platoon usually a mamber of a five man fireteam. 5. Platoon commander A more middle ranked person. 6. Lead and follow series commanders. (keeps track of two platoons usually middle ranked (non officer) or low ranked officer.) 7. Company commander Leader of the company usually lower-high ranked people 8. Generals and such
In a combat the duties of each person is based on their billet (or positioning in the chain of command.) When one has a problem he asks the person just above them in the chain and it will go up the chain unill someone can answer it unless in battle. If in battle it's think one your feet for the most part stay in your groups. Platoons will usually split out from the company. Like say company Dogma has to take Iwo Jima. The company would put it's platoons out to secure certian segments of Iwo Jima and from their the platoon commandersw designate where it would be most opportune for what team. Then it's every team for itself except they have to assist eachother. If plattoon squad 2 team 1 is engaged down a street where both sides are poked around house corners and squad2 team2 is not engaged but can move to put a second angle of fire on fireteam 1's enemy.
As for each squad in a platoon squad 1 has machine guns squad 2 mortars and squad 3 has rocket launcher squad 4 is medics.
my idea is spread out and If anything confuses you let me know. (this does not use the WWI-II idea in any way. (in fact this is as close to modern Marine Corps tactics as I possibly can with my options. The major differences being in the personal level jobs of each marine combine most of your seperate jobs such as weapon mechanic, basic medic, and warrior are all one. Every marine is trained to do all three.) However the strategyu can still be used as i have already made the necessary modifications so editing to the structure of everyone who has already joined does not need to change.

It also depends on if we're doing ancient or modern tactics.
