Inyoni hadn't been to these parts before, and hoped that they provided more food than the last. It was hotter here though, it seemed, but it was aprantly more south, where he was heading. Looking around, he sniffed the air, trying to pinpoint some food.

Sauda wasn't supposed to be so far away from the cave, especially during the hot part of the day, but he couldn't resist. The need to stretch his legs was killing him and so, while the other pups were busy bothering the elders, he snuck out into the glade. It was big and heavily forested but the shade was much cooler on the pups back than the hot sun had been.

He walked towards the edge of the glade and sat waiting; for what he wasn't sure but he could make a figure out on the horizon. It wasn't very clear but he barked a greeting at the stranger. Tail wagging he ran out into the desert a few steps before remembering what Miremba had told him. He wouldn't wander far, he'd just stay here and wait for the strange figure to come to him.

Inyoni paused, looking back towards the glade where he heard a bark, and the rather.. dark pup that stook out against the ligheter sand. Why hadn't he noticed that glade..? He needed the rest badly. He padded over to the pup, and smiled at him.
"Let's get into that shade... A pup as dark as yourself will burn in this sun." He said to him, before continuing into the cooler grass, and sitting on the border under the trees.

Sauda wasn't really a shy pup around strange dogs. In fact he was rather curious. As the duo made their way back into the cool shelter of the glades he bounded around the other dogs ankles.

"What are you doing all the way out here?" was the first thing he asked, quickly followed by, "What's it like out there?" He was bursting with questions that he just wanted to ask.

Inyoni blinked at how the pup moved around excitedly under him, and chuckled at his curiousity as he stretched out in the cooler grasses.

"Well.. I've been traveling the lands looking for things." He explained beifly, smiling at him still. "And it's very hot and dry out there. There isn't much food to eat either. If you don't have to go out there, I wouldn't recommend it." He told the pup, watching him nearly burst with questions. "Sit yourself down and i'll answer your questions the best I can."

Sauda couldn't imagine a life away from his mother in the hot, dry, and barren desert. Why anyone would choose that kind of life he didn't know. It sounded very lonely and Sauda loved his family very much.

Trying to contain his excitement he curled up near the new dog. Obviously the young one was very trusting as he had no qualms about invading his person space. It wasn't intended, he was just overly curious.

"Why were you out there? Aren't you tired?"

Inyoni chuckled again, and tilted his head as he watched the pup with curious eyes. "Yea, I'm tired. It's hard work walking through the more barren lands. I'm out there looking for something, something that is where it is colder. I don't know where that is, but i'll find it, even if i have to walk through 3 deserts to get to it." He looked out at the quivering horizon.

"When you're older, maybe you'll have a reason to go out there. Till then it's probably best you stay near your mother, yes?"

Sauda was amazed by this older and more experienced creature. His tail thumped the ground, sending dust into the air which made him sneeze in turn. It didn't bother him though, he was very excited as his eyes shined while listening about the desert out there.

"But why go somewhere cold? Why not stay with your momma?"

"Because I was of age." He said simply. "When you become much older, you'll learn that you'll have to seperate from your mother to do what ever it is that calls to you. You can still see your mother, but you'll be independent, and wont need her as much as you do now."

He smiled weakly. Truth be told he was a bit of a burden to his mother as a youth. But it's best not to tell this young pup, unless he was to start to think one day that he also was a burden.

He couldn't imagine a life without his mother to guide him. Sauda was very much a mama's boy; he liked to do his own thing but if things went wrong his mother would be the first to hear about it. Of course he imagined that traveling with his mom, and probably the rest of the pack, would be very exciting.

"I'll always need my mom," Sauda stated plainly. "And everyone else too! I need to be there for them."

It was amazing the kind of loyalty the pup had. He had been one of the last born pups and such a strong sense of loyalty was unusual in a pup that was a last born. All he wanted was to be there and keep them safe.

"Don't you miss your mommy?"

Inyoni smiled softly at this others loyalty. "Then, Maybe that's your true calling. To look after your family." he suggested, thinking about it.

He was brought back to reality by the pups new question, and he gazed away as he tried to think about the answer. his eyes grew slightly sad, but yet his face didn't change from that odd smile.

"Yea.. I miss her. But I bet she dosn't miss me as much." He said softly, more or less to himself. "I can't even remember what she looked like now. Aparantly I bore little resemblence to her, and looked more like my grandmother. The only memory of my mother I have, is her scent against the long grasses surrounding an old meercat burrow."

He took a deep sigh. "It was for the best that I left. So I don't regret it."

Sauda didn't voice his opinion on the matter but it was his hope that his family needed him always. In his small mind he couldn't imagine leaving the pack while he went out to do whatever it was that life called him to do. They needed him and he'd be right there for them, no matter what.

He listened intently to the elder dogs response and he began to feel a little sad. For as much as the young pup wanted to explore he didn't want to forget anything about what home looked like. Then again he was still very young and had never been away from the glade before.

"How long have you been traveling?" Sauda inquired. "I bet your mama misses you. After all you're her son and you would be important to her."

"Me? I've been traveling for many seasons... I've lost count.. But I have grown a lot since then. I was born the runt you see, of a large litter of 14. I would often get into trouble, even by accident. I sometimes wonder if the elders really was truthfull about my destany, or was just giving me a kinder exile from the pack." He sighed again. "When I left, I had a feeling I wouldn't be able to find them again..." He trailed off, before chuckling.

"Still. I am happy, in my own way. I'll be able to make my own family one day. With someone who likes me for who I am, In a place I truely belong. Maybe i'll even form a pack of my own. That is the freedom that comes with being a rogue. Though being a pack member or a rogue. Each has good and bad points."

Sauda's tail flicked back and forth as he listened intently to the elders words. To the younger dog it sounded like the other's old pack had been very large and he began to wonder what that was like. His tribe was small and very close to one another and he couldn't imagine it being any other way.

A small yawn escaped past his lips. He wasn't bored, far from it, he was just tired. The pups play hour was coming to a close and the hottest part of the day was going to begin; he had never been up during that time and he was trying very hard to stay awake.

"That's a lot of brothers and sisters," he commented off-handedly. "Do you want to have lots of pups? I'd want to have a big family because they'd be more fun."

"Hmm.." He had to think about this one. "A lot of pups would be nice.. but i would prefer a smaller litter at first. Because It may be fun to have a lot of children running about, but can you imagine how much harder it would be for your parents to look out for you all and keep you safe if there were twice as many of you? I imagine that would be the same with us, more so if we're not in a pack, and on our own."

He yawned himself, before stretching. "Maybe we should get you back to your family soon, before you fall asleep here. With my strength drained, the last thing I'd want to do is fight a lion off from eating you or something."
