The Goddess of the Wind has still not quite found what she was looking for. But oh, she would find it in due time. For now, she would muse with the snow that took residence in the Great Mountain.

The golden lioness reclined on a stone that only had a little bit of snow, easy enough to be brushed off, if she bothered. Her stomache was a little damp from the melting snow, but she took no heed to it. Instead, she let the breezes that danced across the mountain's side tell her what perhaps could be found around here. Pity she didn't have a little bird to help her with it, but time might bring her a new friend.

The winds whispered about the pride that lived here. Small in numbers, and perhaps not too welcoming of other strangers, even gods, but Mdhamana'kinyamkela wouldn't worry about it. If all else failed, she would simply leave.

Time, and the winds, and the sweet sound of laughter advancing on the breeze: all these and more were what brought Zari'radi into the area, the white huntress near to a blur as she rejoiced in the glorious feel of burning, stretching, reaching muscles and sheer speed. A little genet clutched at her shoulders, trembling from anxiety -- really, Tumaini was used to this by now, but the fast racing still was hell on his nerves.

"You don't have any sense of adventure," Zari caroled, giggling at Tumaini's squeak of dismay as she rounded a corner and pounded by the rock on which the wind goddess reclined. When her eyes caught up with her feet, she skidded to a stop, nearly sending the genet over her head, then Zari backed up towards the goddess, blinking slowly. "...Hello...?"

The goddess blinked at this new face. Well, she didn't think she'd run into anyone today!

"Hello, there." The goddess spoke softly, a small smile growing on her face. She wasn't sure if this lioness was pard of the pride, but she also wasn't certain if she should really ask, either.

"Sorry if I startled you. Just enjoying the view," she mentioned casually, looking out at the lands that lay far below, where the earth was warm and air dry. Differeny from where she was now, but the cold was a pleseant change. Her wings tightened a bit as she shifted her attention back to the lioness and genet that had run across her.

"You have wings," Zari declared with no little awe, then blinked again and ducked her head roughly, as if trying to rid herself of the embarrassment such an inane, obvious statement brought her. "I'm Zari'radi, but I go by Zari as well," she offered after another moment, padding forward, while Tumaini eyed his 'ride' incredulously.

Clearly, the girl was insane.

"And this is Tumaini," Zari added rather pointedly, when the genet remained stubbornly quiet.

"Hmmm," the goddess hummed quietly to herself. "Why yes, I have wings. Don't all gods have wings?" She asked, acting as if gods were as common as the moon rising every evening. She never took being a god as a high-and-mighty thing, just that she would help the mortals as best she could, and that was that.

Flicking her tail to her side, the goddess relaxed her form before offering her own name in exchange for the mortal giving her own. It was only a common courtesy. "I'm Mdhamana'kinyamkela, though it would be much easier for the both of us to just call me Mana," she said with a nod. "Pleasure to meet you, Zari. And Tumaini, of course." Can't forget her companion!

Zari glanced back at Tumaini, smirking. "See, Teenie? There's no reason to be afraid. I told you you didn't have any sense of adventure!" That said, she trotted forward, laying at the foot of the rock so she could still look up at Mana. "I've never met a god before," she confessed. "Not even the god of the sun, and you'd think I'd meet that one at least! What are you the goddess of?"

Groaning, Tumaini buried his face against Zari's fur. One of these days, her curiosity was going to get them both killed.

Listening to the lioness' conversation was quite amusing for the goddess. Adventure could be fun, as long as it was safe, though it seemed this lioness still had that youthful 'invicibility' in her.
Glancing down at the white lioness, she gave a little acknowledged god. "Oh? The Sun God? Surprising that he wouldn't show to his own pride, but perhaps he has his reasons..." She drifted off, her normal concern for others apparent as she fell silent.

..oh! "I'm the goddess of the Wind. One who learns everything through the breezes, and can even disappear on them too." She gave a little smile, though she was certain she wouldn't have to demonstrate her powers for show. That was only for the cubs.

"Oh, now you've done it," Tumaini announced, finally speaking up for the first time.

Ignoring him completely, Zari stared up at Mana, her eyes widening in blissful surprise. "Truly?" she asked, breathless with wonder. "I've always wanted to be the wind. To be so fast I can't even be seen...!"

"Start...?" the goddess questioned, but it was obvious that she would soon find out.

She mused a bit when the lioness spoke. Ahh, so this one wanted to be of the wind? "Interesting to hear, from one not being a cheetah." She laughed, thinking about how she has first seem the mortal. "Though it seems you are one who loves to run. I could tell from when you first tripped upon me."

She pondered on this. She knew of some that loved to run, but this particular lioness seemed enchanted with the idea to be the wind, instead of just outrun in. "Mind if I ask why you want to be the wind?"

Zari's eyes took on a faraway look, and she gazed out over the lands spread beneath them, wistful and longing. "It's been this... calling... I've always had," she explained quietly. "I've always felt that if I could become the wind I could run without getting tired, I could see everything, I could just... become something I'm supposed to be." She blinked, then pawed at her nose embarrassedly as she felt it heat up. "That's silly of me," she decided after a moment, smiling sheepishly. "I'm not the goddess, after all."

The Wind Goddess only smiled, letting the words dance on the slight breeze that always seemed to grace the Mountain. Perhaps it was the cold, the height, or both, but it was always a comforting area for Mana to visit.

"So perhaps you are saying that you should be the goddess, and not I?" Mana said with a hint of laughter, a glimmer in her eyes as she peered at the mortal. Quite a cute one indeed.

"No! No, not at all!" Zari insisted, her eyes widening, then shot a look back at Tumaini when the genet tonked her on the head.

"She's always been like this," Tumaini offered, his tail curling around his paws, daintily. "I'm terribly sorry."

"See if I share my kill with you ever again," Zari grumbled to her long-time friend.

The goddess laughed. "No worries. You seem very kind-hearted, but I couldn't help but poke at the 'open door', so to speak."

She offered a nod to the genet, accepting the apology, though she didn't quite think it was needed. The lioness seemed to have a strong, youthful heart, and it was easy enough to forgive for things that could be interpreted wrongly.

"Good to know that there is another that is thankful for the wind. Most just seem to complain about how it stirs up the sands, gets in the way, makes nights cold...so thank you.

Zari tossed her head, rather contemptuously. "People who say that don't get it," she grumbled, tail lashing. "It's not cold, it doesn't get in the way, it's just... what it's supposed to be."

Mana riased a brow at the girl. Interesting, watching this little one. Perhaps she was truely of the wind. Thought it would be good to ask her one more question.

"Sometimes one runs to escape problems, to forget everything that is attached to them, to feel freedom. One such as you does not run to hide, correct?" She had come across others that loved speed, but they loved it for the ability to escape reality. Which wasn't always a good thing.
