I know they look like they sleds and pretty sure they can be used a sled but they are "Ref" shields. What I think is people back in the days used their sleds as shield and it caught on in the Paintball industry so companies produced them.
I just gotta add the rope so you can hold it. Right now though the paint is still alittle wet and all and I want it to settle good so I'm gonna do that tomorrow.

i love to reff, but ever since our feild shut down theres no where to ref. i practice at a woodsball feild that has one speedball feild set up that we practice on. i made my own sheilds and was the only ref in the place that would actualy get in and check people. i swear some of these guys will run down the feild for a 1v1 and get 20-30 balls on the way but they wont go and check someone for a million dollars. sorry i got a little off track there.

hey drax if that mask is used only for refing may i suggest popping out the lense and painting the mask the same schem as the shield and i would also recomend a good clear coat over the shield cause the vibrations in the shield when the ball hit it dend to make the paint job flake off

I'm not a fan of painted mask, I only like the lense frame painted at most. Also don't worry about the shield I got a nice clear coat for it. I've had the shield for 2 or 3 weeks so I've had time to think over on what do to and what not.

About the shield, do you buy those as paintball referee shields or as sleds and just use it as a shield? From what you said you make it sound like they are shields to begin with, not sleds.

DaSchultz i want to ref looks fun. but not as fun as playing xd 3nodding I work reguarly at my field as an employed ref. It isn't as fun as playing, but at the end of the day if all you get is rookies to the field they won't want to play because since you're a ref they automatically think you're good.
