Did anybody get craft items this past Christmas? (Or Hannukah, Yule, Kwanzaa, or other holidays I'm not ignoring on purpose) My mother gave me some size 9 knitting needles and Lion Brand Suede yarn - I'm knitting a bag out of it now. And my boyfriend's parents gave me circular knitting looms. Now I have to learn how to use them!

I got a set of bamboo knitting needles. mrgreen and i got a $40 hancock fabrics giftcard.
My family didn't really do much for christmas, so my sister and i took it into our own hands. 3nodding Between the giftcard and what we paid, we spent $100 day after christmas. Made us happy.
though my mommy is talking about getting us new cutting mats or a ball winder or something.
So... pretty much -all- i got for christmas was crafting stuff. whee

i got my very own sewing machine. no more sharing with my mother. i was having a bit of trouble sewing since i'm not very good yet but my fiancee is really proud of me so that's always awesome.

Just a 200 Crochet Squares book. And that's nice, but not without yarn so I can put the book to use! gonk
I wanted a sewing machine, but apparently it would have been too difficult for me to get it home. I guess the postal service ships everything but sewing machines. domokun

yeah. i got everything i needed to start my Dolfie hobby: A basebody, rooting hair, rooting needles, paints, a brush, and a sealant...
i also got money and spent some of it on yarn...

My aunt got me a Michael's giftcard mrgreen And I bought myself a present - Yarnplay. The sweater on the front cover sold it to me. Now I'm too in love with the designs to give it up, despite none of them being written for my bust size gonk Ah well. That's what re-writing is for! biggrin

I know what handbook you're talking about, but what's the Designer's Journal? It's basically a book that has graphs and such and info to help you design stuff. It has a needle-gauge & ruler, graph pages, places to put info on your yarn stash, family and friends measurements. It's really great!

Well, what I got isn't crafting items, but it is handcrafted. A friend hand tooled a leather barrette for me and gave it to me for Christmas. She isn't quite happy with the design and wants to make a better looking ferret, but I love it just the way it is.
I made her a blessing scarf because I didn't have the time to make a shawl.
