Kit pushed another log into the fireplace to keep it burning, smiling happily as the warmth of the fire reached his cold body. It was winter, and there was snow falling outside, covering the whole area in a thin white blanket. It was lucky the snow wasn't heavy, or else the door might be stuck due to the snow.
He was expecting a visitor tonight.
Satisfied at the fire he had set up, Kit laid down in front of it and looked around the place he called home. There was a fireplace, and in front of it, a patterned carpet. At the edge of the carpet, there was a long couch opposite the fireplace, and two smaller and shorter couches on both sides.
On top of the fireplace, some red socks were hung, all ready for Santa... Yes, Kit believed in Santa. After all, his humans had been talking about the jolly old man ever since it started snowing.

Emo had gotten the invitation and couldn't believe that Kit was inviting her over to his house. He hadn't talk to her since that night and she thought he had forgotten all about her. Especially the promise they made then, it had been a while since they had seen each other at least.
The outside was so cold and the snow that landed on her melted making her more cold whenever the wind blew. She found his house finally and approached the looking at it trying to figure out how to let someone know she was there. She stood on her back legs and pawed at the door, it didnt scratch the door and didn't make much noise but it was something.
After hopefully letting someone know she was there she slide her paws to the door handle and tried to squish it between her paws. She squeezed with her paws and tried to turn the knob not knowing if she could actually open the door or not. Either way she might fall if she tried to turn it too far.

Kit was falling asleep in front of the fireplace. It was cold, with the snow falling ouside, so the fire made him feel so warm and comfortable... Well, maybe a little too warm and comfortable. The male triune had started yawning, lying in front of the fire to wait for Emo.
His eye-lids felt heavy, and slowly begun to close. It was then he heard the soft scraping sound from outside of the door. At first, he thought he was imagining things, but soon, he realised that someone was trying to open the doorknob.
At this, he quickly sprung to his feet, and rushed to he door. Putting his maw at the side of the door, he yelled, "Emo, is that you?"

Emo smiled but whimpered, it was cold outside and she wanted in. "Yes, its me. Let me in its so cold outside." She scratched at the door again hoping that it would open itself or Kit could open it. She didn't want to be cold anymore, she just wanted to curl up with him and be happy. She missed him so much, she was so sad he didn't visit her and wanted to be happy again. She just wanted to cuddle with him and be happy and comfortable.

"Hold on," Kit whimpered back as he stood up, pushing against the door. Wrapping both paws around the knob, he turned it, the experience of using it often coming in handy as he went on fours again. Using his muzzle, he pushed the door open.
Cold air blasted into his face as he smiled at Emo, ignoring the cold as he spoke, "Emo! Quick, come on in... You must br freezing! Go lie by the fire, I'll go get you a towel..."

Emo smiled seeing him and walked in shivering, but she was happy to be in a warm house with Kit. She walked up to him first and nudged him licking his face lightly and blushing. She quickly trotted over to the fire and laid down. The warmth felt so good to her and her was now getting warm and with Kit.
She looked up and around for Kit partially to see if he noticed she grew up more and was an adult now. She missed him so much, she loved being around him. Hopefully she wouldn't have to leave him again but she knew at somepoint they were going to have to part again for a short time.

Kit carried a think white blanket in his mouth, taking it down from a room at the back of the living room. He spread it over Emo's body, and laid down beside her, before giving her a friendly nudge, "Sorry I didn't invite you over sooner... I had things to do."
"How have you been?"

Emo smiled being covered up and Kit laying down next to her. "I have been sad and lonely, no one to really hang out with or talk to." She set her head down on the ground sad thinking about being without Kit for so long.
"I guess its ok at least I am here with you now. Just don't go so long without seeing me again." She turned her head slightly so she was leaning agianst him staring at the fire. It was so pretty and warm, and now that Kit was here she was even warmer, happier and more comfortable.

"You really should learn to talk more to others," Kit said, gently nudging the female with his muzzle. He smiled, glancing at the fire, "I'm sure you'll meet more friends that way. I can't be with you all the time as I have things to do..."
He licked Emo's face and laughed, "I'll see if I can invite you over again after New Years' Day... For now, let's just enjoy ourselves, okay?"

She nodded, "Well the same could be said about you. You should talk to more triunes as well." She smiled at his flaw in logic and snuggled against him. "I have missed you a lot lately, I am glad I can be with you again." She cuddled with him staring at the fire finally starting to warm up.
"I would like to visit you more often, I like your company a lot." She smiled licking his muzzle and laying her head down on his paw. She closed her eyes enjoying the peace and comfortablity there.

"Oh, yes, I really should!" Kit laughed softly, nuzzling Emo as he turned to face the fireplace. Giving a happy smile, he continued, "Maybe we can met more Triune together. We can then spend some time together as well... It's killing two birds with one stone."
Kit paused, staying silent for a moment, "You know, I've been thinking... Did you grow since the last time we'd met?"

Emo smiled and blushed a little bit, "Yes I aman adult now, fully grown." She licked the side of Kit's face, "It would be nice to hang out together and with others. Maybe I might get more friends." She hung her head knowing that many didn't like her because she was always sad. But not having friends just made her more sad so then less people liked her. It was a vicious cycle that she was trying to fix about herself.

"I'm sure people will like you," Kit assured her, knowing what Emo was thinking about, smiling as he nodded with a serious look. "When they really get to know you, they'll like you for who you are. Trust me on that one!"

Emo smiled and rubbed against Kit a little bit more enjoying his warmth and love. "Thank you Kit, I do hope your right." Her stomach felt so weird next to him, she was so happy and comfortable yet her heart raced. She looked into his eyes as she licked him again,

"Of course I'm right!" Kit laughed teasingly, giving Emo a playing nudge. After a while, his laughter died off as he gave a pause, frowning a little. Several seconds passed before he spoke again, looking into her eyes, he asked, "Emo, is something the matter?"
