~*~ Here are the rules and guidelines for Matasoga's Lovelies ~*~

Thought we are a guild, we must always obey Gaia's ToS.
Please read these the following rules, stated below.

No. 1
Do not Cyber!!
Cybering in all forms is not allowed on Gaia. This includes requesting, offering or encouraging cybering in your threads, posts or PMs. Please be careful when posting vague requests for fun or offers of fun. If they could easily be seen as a cyber invitation or request, you risk getting warned for violating the cybering rule.

No. 2
Images also must comply with the PG-13 rating of Gaia.
Sexually explicit images, that are not artistic in nature, are not allowed on Gaia. Sexually explicit and pornographic images are strictly forbidden. Posting, requesting, or selling such images will result in a warning.

No. 3
Do not post chain letters!
They are not allowed on Gaia and if you distribute them, you will get warned.

No. 4
Please report any questionaire threads that ask personal questions such as address, phone number, email address, or any questions relation to Gaia's security questions.
Do NOT reply to these threads!

No. 5
Please do not post 14/28 Gold Bump threads as they are not allowed anywhere on Gaia.

No. 6
Any post that is so long that it causes the page to scroll excessively in either direction is not allowed. This includes posting a lot of 'bumps' or any other single words for the sole purpose of gaining more gold. As discussed above, this does not work and serves only to get you a warning.

No. 7
Any posts containing racial slurs, verbal abuse directed at a user or comments made with the purporse of provoking flaming (trolling) are against the ToS.

No. 8
Posting any content (images, links, etc) that encourages other users to harm or kill themselves, even in a joking manner, could be considered abusive. However, in cases where a user has posted about their intent to commit suicide or harm themselves, any encouragement at all will lead to a warning or even a banning.

Thank you for reminding everyone what Gaia's ToS is, but I have two guild specific amendments.

1. You CAN gold bump if you want to but in one place and one place only. The forum known as "My Other Board" gives a link to a board in the Chatterbox which can be spammed to your hearts content, but as it is not part of this guild, the spam bound there will not be a part of your total post count, but as there wasn't necissarily any thought put into it, this is as it should be.

2. NO ONE READS THE DAMNED PETITIONS! THEY ACCOMPLISH NOTHING, SAVE SERVING TO IRRITATE YOUR FRIENDS. FOR THE SAKE OF ALL YOU HOLD DEAR STOP SENDING THEM! This has been the most annoying, aggravating and useless means of accomplishing anything I have ever seen. The admins don't care about petitions, so why should anyone else?
Allow me to explain something to everyone who sends petitions. If a petition was approved, and the donation item was actually given, what do you suppose would happen? Everyone and their brother that had any imaging programs would create item after item, thinking that their's might be the next item to be approved, if only they get enough signitures! Thus spam would be out of control, every inbox would be flooded, and things would be completely out of control and ridiculous.
To drive home my warning, all lovelies are forbidden from sending me any petitions. The same goes for chain letters. There will be a new locked topic that I create, if ever a lovely sends me another petition or chain letter and it will contain the names of all lovelies who have done so, and how many times. The penalties shall be as follows. 1: you shall recieve a warning and your name will be put up on the board. 2. You shall be removed from my friends list. 3. You shall be blocked by me and banned from the guild.
A petition is defined by anything that asks me to put my name on it and send it onward. Chainmail is defined as anything telling me to "send this to (any number of) people" especially if it has an "or else" following it. Do not send them.

~*~ A special notice for the first week of January ~*~

As most of you seen, this entire week, starting from January 1st to January 7th, is double gold week.
Meaning anything you do will get you twice the amount of gold then you normally get.

While this event is wonderful, please do not spam the guild with "Bumps" or any other non-related nonsense.

This was already against the rules, but saying that you were spamming for getting twice the gold is no excuse.

Thank you, and enjoy the event.

Small note as of 2/2/07

When posting in topics, it is highly important that you make sure you don't spam.

You can, post emoticons and other various "smilies" to reply to something a person has said, but try not to spam up the whole board with one word or repeated "emot. faces".

Thank you, Avino. On that note, I would like to add that while not strictly prohibited, it is hoped that one would not respond to something at all if all they felt could be summed up in a single emoticon.

Also, I wanted to add, Avino, you have done a fantastic job of keeping up with all that I have asked of members and turned them into rules. Thank you very much.

Another newly decided rule; no mules. Each lovely may only join with one account.

For roleplaying purposes, only: While I tolerate vampires among my Lovelies I do not approve of vamparism (though all other forms of undeath-not involving blood-drinking- are fully accepted). No drinking of blood is ever to be done in my presence under any circumstances.

While this isn't strictly a rule, things such as "pwn,"; anything that wouldn't lose it's meaning without end in "zorz," "zors," "xorz," "xors," that ending that way; "teh,"; "ftw," and other things just piss me off.

"Own" is acceptable, as is "wtf," "omg," "lol," etc. If it actually stands for something then its fine.

As stated, this is not strictly a rule. If you slip in one such a word once in a long while, I probably won't even say anything (though this is subject to my mood) but if I somehow feel sure you're doing it for the sole purpose of pissing me off then I will be talking to you. Under normal usage, I promise that I will never ban anyone for using such phrases...Looking like a retard should be punishment enough.

Also, this board was intended to be a literate thread. Again, this isn't the kind of thing anyone would ever get banned for, but "u," is not "you." "U" is simply "u." In a text message, this would be understandable. as might it be for someone who is in their first month of using a keyboard, but as for everyone else...is it really so difficult to type the other two letters?

As before this is by no means a bannable offence, under any curcumstances. All listed above are just courtesies that I would like you to generally abide by and guidelines that I hope to have followed most of the time.
