((Okay, so it's a week late. It's been a busy week... This is an open role play, holiday-esque party at Elizabeth's house. Heralds, keepers, non-keepers... all are invited.))
Elizabeth could hardly believe that the winter solstice had come so soon. It seemed like only yesterday that it was the hot summer was there... and Finn hadn't existed. But now he was here, in all his tiny, rather impish glory.
Not only did he seem taller now that he had grown to a more advanced stage, his vocabulary was expanding rapidly. Finn seemed quite intelligent, constantly picking up on things Elizabeth didn't think he would. He also seemed to be reaching a state of mind similar to a toddler's- anything he could get his hands upon, he would attempt to eat, or destroy.
Elizabeth had to get a new companion for him- someone to watch the young Herald while she was at school. Thus Clochan had come into her family. Thus far, the two got along swimmingly, and the Erras female seemed to adapt well to her role as a surrogate mother. But this was of no matter- the party was foremost on Elizabeth's mind.
The decorations looked fine. Though she called it a winter solstice body, she had a Christmas tree and a menorah up, just in case, and a flag with Kwanzaa colors in the corner. There were a few moon and star decorations out, but she didn't want the other 'parents' to think her strange. Hopefully they had received the invitations. What if they hadn't gone out? What if... what if... There were too many what ifs, and she had to focus on the present.
She was ready to receive... if only they would come!
