Yay I made it. So what's up! I am eager to play though I am not quite sure how this all works, sorry. If some one can just explain the basic ways of play in this media I would be most grateful. Oh also how do I start a campaign?

By the way the names Drew, 23. And I have been playing for under a year now... I think. I truly can't remember exactly when I started.

Playing a game online in these forums usually follows a play style called "play-by-post." What this means is that the DM will post a situation, including all relevant information, and you then post your response back in the next post. Now, because various members of the group are not often online at the same time, these games tend to move a little slowly. Most DM's expect about 1-2 posts a week per person to be a good speed.

Also, for rolling dice, you should use an internet dice roller. I personally prefer to use the Wizards.com VacuumElemental Dice Roller, but others also prefer Invisable Castle. Otherwise, you can use the Gaia dice system, it can be found (when you post a reply) just above the post box and on the right called "post action:" Click the box and scroll down to roll dice, and it will roll them when you post.

As for starting a campain, as far as I know we have no limitations, so just go ahead and start one up. TheNecromancerAntimage used to have a rule where all campains must be level three unless cleared by him, but I'm not sure that still applies. Might be good to ask just in case. In any event, simply post the level, game world summary, and charecter creation guidelines in a new topic post.

Many thanks, I will get right on creating a campaign. I don't mind it beng slow, as long as it happens. I understand everyone has a life and this is just to relax them.
