Jazzie coasted down the path that led to the park. It wasn't her normal escape but she needed the change. She brooded as she slid her bike into the rack, locking it in securely. There wasn't much for her to be upset about. Well, there was a fair amount but none she felt she had the right to be upset about, at least for now. She took a deep breath and sank her fingers deep into the soft fur of the creature beside her. Badru had joined her on her trip as normal. The large white and green cat purred quietly but said nothing.
Jazzie looked around. Now that she was here she wasn't entirely sure as to what she wanted to do. The soft breeze toyed with her hair and her thoughts as she slipped into a small day dream, staring at the sky.

Still thinking and laughing to herself about walking in on Theif and Namid. She'd known something would have had to happen between them eventually. As she walked, with her hands in her jacket pockets, she stared off into the park. Not too far away was a figure with a head of hair she remembered. Hair that was both of her very favorite colors.
Kilayla was surprised that she didn't feel the same sort of shyness she'd felt when she'd first met the younger girl. For some reason that Kilayla couldn't think of, she no longer cared about being judged.
She pulled her hood off of her head and walked toward the other girl {who was staring into the sky}, and the cat that was with her.

Badru's ears twitched minutely. He nudged Jazzie's hand, knocking her out of her imaginings. She blinked and looked about her curiously before smiling as she caught sight of the familiar face. "Hello Kiki!" She shortened the distance between them at a leisurely pace. "It's been a while. How are you?" She tucked her thumbs into the empty belt loops of her black jeans.

Kilayla involuntarily twitched an eyebrow when Jazzie began to speak. It wasn't because being called Kiki bothered her--which it did--but because she was unconciously examining the other girl.
She nodded, forcing herself to look into Jazzie's eyes. "I'm fine, I guess. And it has been a while. You seem different somehow..."

Jazzie raised her own eyebrow. " I wouldn't know what...I'm a bit older and my hair has grown out is all I can think of." She gave herself a quick glance over. Nothing seemed out of place to her, slip on sneakers, check, jeans, check, bananarama t-shirt, check, fitted pleather jacket, check, cat ear head band, check. Nope nothing out of place. Her hand reached out unconsiously for Badru's reasurance. He stepped forward from where he had been sitting behind her and let her hand rest on his shoulders. She turned her attention back to Kiki. The girl did strike her as a bit different as well. Whatever it was it wasn't unpleasant though. "I'm glad to hear you're doing well." She said finally.

"I didn't say I was doing well," Kilayla mumbled, then added, as if she hadn't said it, "I think you're prettier than the last time I saw you. Maybe it's your hair." She gazed breifly at Jazzie's almost violently colored locks, faking disinterest.
Trying her damndest to look like she had loads better to do, Kilayla kicked at the dirt with her boot. "I've got a couple bucks on me. You want to hang out or something?"

Jazzie brushed off the mumbled comment for the time being, she'd barely heard it but if Kiki had wanted it to be heard she would have spoken louder wouln't she? Jazzie smiled broadly. "Thank you Kiki!" She brushed back her hair. She was vain to teh core, especially when it came to her hair. She checked the few bills she'd grabbed. "Sure, did you have anything in mind?"

Kilayla shrugged, her hands still in her pockets. "Not really. Do you like ice cream? We can go to the store and get some. If you want. I don't really go out much." She pushed her unbrushed hair back out of her face.

"Sounds good to me. I've got at least a few hours before I should think about heading home." She raised a finger quickly to Kiki before jogging off to retrieve her bike. She returned just as quickly, walking it beside her.

"Hours, bah. Nobody cares about when I get home, as long as I come back the same day..." Kilayla sounded terribly matter-of-fact about it, as she began walking with the slightly shorter girl.
"Hey, you go to a school-school, right?" She was trying to sound like she wasn't interested again, with her eyes staring blankly ahead.

Jazzie sighed. "I wish I had that sort of freedom. The only time I can get out of the house is when Dizzy's in one of her moods. When she isn't it's like there are ***** waiting right outside our front door ready to snatch me away and do all kinds of unmentionable things to me." She gave a wry smile. "yeah, I go to school. Don't you?" Jazzie had figured she went to a different school for some reason or another.

Kilayla gave a little laugh. The thought of ***** always seemed to give her the giggles. "Yeah, I go to school, but not really at a school. Not at a school like you do. I was wondering what that's like. You must have lots of friends, right?" She examined the faces of the buildings she and Jazzie passed as she spoke.

"Yeah, I guess. I'd call them acquaintances really. A lot of kids at school are hard to get along with." She rolled her eyes then glanced over to Kiki. "What was so funny?" Her face wore a confused should-i-smile? look.

"Well, I wouldn't really know, I don't 'interact' with a lot of people..."
To Jazzie's question, Kilayla looked upward through her bangs while suppressing a smile of her own. "Nothing. That thing you said about ***** outside your door..." she felt her nose give a little twitch as she struggled against the grin.
She turned into a small square building with a florescent sign outside, glancing over to see if Jazzie was still following. Such pretty hair, Kilayla found herself thinking. She narrowed and averted her eyes, while heading to the freezers at the back of the store.

"Oh, I guess it is a bit funny. Dizzy's odd like that." She rested her bike next to the window of the store and followed Kiki inside, smiling as the girl turned to look at her. "So, why don't you intersct with people much? What kind of school do you go to?" she asked as they walked towards the freezers.
