Sitting under a tree, a young....child.....was happily setting up a tea party. The child wore a blue silk kimono with a red obi. A pair of black sandels and white socks decorated it's feet. The tea set was not the ordinary English verison, it was a lovely jade color and the cups looked like small bowls. As the child finished smoothing out the blanket it had put down on the grass, it took a binto box out of a small basket as well as a pair of red and black chop sticks. The child began to sing a japanese nursery rhyme as it sat down and said a small prayer to the rice goddess.
Dear little Bijin had asked his mother if he could go out and eat his lunch under the trees like at the Cherry Blossom events. Ever doting on her precious one, Byagane agreed and packed his lunch into a small case he could carry and set him on his way. She had watched as her son walked toward a small park near their house. She often wondered if she was too doting and should expect him to act more like a boy. But his happiness is what mattered the most to her, so she let him dress in women's clothes and play with girls toys. It seemed to make him so happy.

Christmas had come and gone and though everything seemed a disasture, the turkey had caught on fire, the christmas pudding had...no solidified enough christmas on a whole was an interesting experience. Lute ever on his back it was like a third limb for him, Aurora was never seen without it, hisl ong blonde hair shone in the sunilght.
deep in his thoughts about the past and people he hadn't seen in a long time he was surprised to find a young girl setting up a rather orient tea party. She was alone and thus having the idea to make more friends he came up to her.
"Hello, mind if i join your tea party?" he asked a sincere smile on his face.

The young orange hair boy enter the cherry blossom tree orchard. His arms were cross to keep himself warm. His ears flickered a bit as cherry petals passed by him. He had still not found that rat. He still pondered in the back of his mind about the dreams he had. The Rat was still teasing him. Blasted rat he thought to himself.
He then saw an blond hair man which took him a moment to tell who it was. Then he saw another kid in a Kimono. He could tell who this one was. He slowly walked over to them. "Would you two mind if I join as well," asked Kinnara.

Bijin blinked up as a new person with blonde hair and an instrument of some sort approached his tea party. He smiled happily as mother had told him he needed to start making some friends. Then another boy approached, one with orange hair. He was so excited! Standing the boy (though looked like a girl) bowed respectively with a smile.
"Hai! I am honored for you to join my party! My name is Bijin. What title do I call you?"
Yeah, he was so excited his english was slipping. He also got out two extra binto boxes and chop sticks for his two new companions.

Aurora's smile faltered for a moment Kinnara was here. He wondered if this would makes thinks awkward as he recalled the last time he had seen the boy. An embarressed flush spread onto his cheeks, but he tried to not think about the incident.
And so now he felt abit shocked, he thought that bijin was a girl, but he could tell if ever so slightly from the voice that this was indeed a boy. Well...at least he wouldn't feel so alone anymore with the gender problems.
"My name is Aurora, you can call me Auro if you wish." Title? Was he suppose to have one? Perhaps....he couldn't recal. Something jerked in his memory making him feel a bit ill. He had a title once...didn't he?

"I am Kinnara the cat," he said, then he gave a respectful bow. "You can call me Kinnara or Kin. It doesn't matter to me." He then looked at Aurora and back down at Bijin. "It is nice to meet you." He then crossed his arms.

"Hai! Auro-sempai and Kin-sempai."
He bowed again and began to serve them tea. Once again, Bijin took on a female role of pouring their tea and serving their food in the traditional way. He respectfully placed their cups next to their binto boxes before he picked up his chopsticks.
"I hope Auro-sempai and Kin-simpai like green tea and fried tofu."
His eating was very delicate and proper, much like a woman's. His age was slightly hard to determine but he was no more than nine or ten. His black hair shone in the sunlight and large brown eyes glowed with warmth. Even his silk kimono seemed to have a girl's cut to it though sometimes its hard to tell at that age.
"I am new to this place. Can you tell me who else lives around here? Mother says I should make friends with other boys."

Sempai? Aurora wasn't familar with the term...was that his title from long ago? He shook his head, no...that didn't trigger anything in his mind, trying to force past his selfish thoughts he knelt down to join Bijin and Kinnara on the pinic area.
Having never tried Green tea or fried tofu he politely took his cup...er bowl and took a sip. The flavor was something he had never tasted before and wasn't something he particularly enjoyed, but he would be polite and gave a smile as he took another sip. Bleh.
He hoped hewould enjoy the tofu more but was afriad to touch it. He would work past the tea first, and this probably the first time he had ever found something he didn't enjoy eating.
"Well..there are a great many people who live here. Most I have not seen in a long whlie." Aurora started his eyes casting a quick glance at Kinnara.

"Arigato, Bijin san," said Kinnara in a very serious tone, "I would enjoy some." Kinnara had somewhat familiarities with japanese costumes from reading some of his mother's manga. He then siped from the cup like saucer. "You make a fine green tea," he said as the warm tea ran down his throat.
After placing the green tea down he took some of the hot tofu that benji made. He blew on it first to cool it down and took a bite out of it. It satified him. "very good,"he said.

"Arigato Kin-sempai. It is my favorite. Try some Auro-sempai, it is very good for you."
The boy(girl) smiled and happily ate, though he couldn't quite take his eyes off of Kinnara. Finally he decided to ask the question burning in his head.
"Anou, Kin-sempai, I do not wish to offend but why do you have cat ears and a tail? I have not met someone with such things. Is it why you are called a neko?"

"That is how I was born," said Kinnara. "I am the cat that came before all cats. I am the one that is left out of everything." He was now rambling. "I prefered to be called a cat not neko."

Left out of everything? Well thats not good! It must be very lonely to be like that. Bijin felt sad for Kinnara and told himself he'd always include the neko boy in his activities if possible.
"Well you are not left out of my tea party. And I welcome you to my others as well!"
He smiled at the boy who seemed closer to his own age.

Aurora reached clumsily with his chopsticks and picked a peice of teh tofu up awkwardly. With firm control of a musician he brought the peice up to his mouth only to drop it in his lap. He glanced down a tad embaressed.
As Kin spoke he felt his heart sink, obviously Kin was still obessed with the 'Rat' that haunted his past or dreams. He knew that some things were hard to get over and he was a cause to a lot of problems.
Trying not to look down Aurora gave an embarssed smile, "It is rude if i picked it up with my fingers? I am not really good with chopsticks." he explained.

"Here, I can show you."
Bijin took Aurora's hand and showed him the proper and easier way of holding chop sticks. His own hands were very soft and his touch was gentle. This close the smell of lavender wafted around him.
"There you are Auro-sempai. Now you won't drop it!"
He smiled happily, he loved showing people how to eat properly. Forks were silly.

"Thank you Bijin," he said with a smile that seemed to be sad but happy at the same time. He then watched Aurora struggle with chop stick. He had been using them for at least 6 months. It made him laugh inside a bit. He wonder why Aurora kept eyeing him.
