Nyack sighed and rested his body far from the Pride Lands borders. Well fine then, he didn't want to be in a pride that had snoty kids anyway. He glanced into the small pool of water in front of him and frowned. Ugly... He swipped at his green mane with his paw.
Why him? Why GREEN? His family was all normally colored with green markings but he'd managed to get a green MANE. He laid his head down and put his paws over his head. Maybe he was to ugly for a pride...

Muujiza's ears flickered forward, a spark glinting in her eyes as they registered a mane of a deep forest green, quite like her own green coat. She stopped for a moment to watch the other lion curiously. He was the first he had met that was at all green. She watched as he batted as his wondrous green mane, and tilted her head. Why was he doing it? Green was a wonderful color. It reminded her of… leaves…
She suppressed the urge to giggle deliriously at the thought of leaves, and resumed her swinging trot, this time with more purpose. She was going to meet that lion, yes, and find out more about him, for he had green, and that mattered most to her.
Green.

Upon hearing the padding steps of the female he almost groaned. It had better not be that cub again... He lifted his paw slightly to take a peek and laid it back down again. Just a green lionness... A green lionness?! He shot up his head, his mouth wide open in shock and awe.
Her body... her tail... and even what would have been her mane... all green, save for the white circles on her back. Maybe he was going crazy... Nyack gulped and lifted himself into a standing position. "Uh er ah... " Great now he was tounge tied. He cleared his throat and tried to pull himself together. After the prideful display the only thing he could mutter was a weak, "Hi..."

"Hi," Muujiza returned cheerfully, although mentally, her mind was focused on the words 'sky' and 'bird'. The sky was high, was it not? And birds flew in the sky? So of course, they matched up. Of course they did. Nobody telling her otherwise would change her mind.
She looked the lion opposite her up and down. He was brown, save for the purple markings on his back and his green mane. The green mane that seemed to match her own coat perfectly. Could it be? She blinked, almost confused, had she been capable of feeling confused. But she was not, and so, she did not feel as such. Hardly anything caught her off guard anymore. It didn't mean she was devoid of feeling - far from it. No, she simply didn't get confused, and this lion's green mane, while it surprised her, did little to mess with her mind. "You're green." She said, stating the obvious.

"Ya-yah so are you..." The meek male replied, hanging his head slightly. Slowly and very cautiously he stood and walked over to the female to investigate her closer. He wasn't so much confused as he was overly happy. Just when he thought he was an outcast, he'd found someone MORE green then him!
And a girl to boot.
"I... I'm... Nyack..." He stammered now standing right in front of her. "Who-who are you?" Nervously he dug his claws in and out of the earth. He'd already had a bad experince with a girl. It was a cub, but a girl none the less.

"Duh," Muujiza smiled, shrugging her shoulder. "You're the most green I've seen so far," She told him happily. "I'm Muujiza," She added, to answer his question. "Huh, Nyack..." She considered it. "Sounds nice," She said after a moment. "It reminds me, I should go hunt soon..."
She looked up from her musings and shrugged almost sheepishly. Not all lions understood her strange logic.

"Muujiza..." He repeated slowly to make sure it was correct. She seemed a lot nicer then the other female he'd met. He rose an eyebrow when his name reminded her to go hunting but soon found that his stomach was growling. That hunt didn't sound so bad... "I haven't hunted in forever..." He admited, swishing his tail. "Do... uh you want to go hunt with me?"

"Males hunt?" She blinked, as if the notion that a rogue male living alone would have to be able to hunt in order to survive. She stood a moment, as if trying to digest the information, and then suddenly started back to life and nodded. "Sure!" She nodded with glee. She liked hunting with other lions. She'd never done it before, to be sure, but the notion that filled her head buzzed pleasantly there, and she knew she could trust it. She could trust everything.

He grinned also in excitment, the nervousness seeming to have slipped away. He puffed out his chest trying to show off for the female. "Yah, I hunt all the time... I even brought down a waterbuck by myself once!" Of course it had been a sick, limping waterbuck but those horns were still dangerous! His tail was nearly wagging behind him giving the illusion of a green blur.
"So uh... " He coughed to deepen his voice. "What would you like to hunt today?"

Muujiza regarded him with some level of admiration. It was hard to think that this brown lion before her had brought down a waterbuck on his own. It wasn't something against him, of course, it was simply that she had never thought that a single lion could bring down a waterbuck alone. So she had though. But Nyack had proved her thinking wrong, now hadn't he? She leaned to one side slightly, regarding his waving tail. "What's that yer doing?" She asked, fascinated. She looked back at her own tail. How come she never did something like that?
"Sure, let's hunt today," She agreed instantly, nodding. Ah, hunting. She loved to run and leap and bound over the lands just to get to the prey, and then she loved the exhiliration of that final leap as she left the ground to grab the prey. Yes, hunting was, indeed, love.

"What?" He followed her vision to his tail and blushed under his fur. "Oh uh I ... guess I'm happy... it speeds up when I am." Was that weird? He hoped not... it'd be another thing on his list.
Nyack's eyes lit up when she agreed. Yes! So far so good! He really liked this green female. She had a bit of an attention problem but everyone had their oddities. At that thought he stopped his tail from wagging and made it flick like a normal lion's. Without much thought he turned and walked for a better hunting spot to find some prey.

It was so curious, this tail of his, that she hardly noticed the look on his face, and trailed along behind him simply to watch it. It had stopped wagging about now, and flicked like her own tail. Why? Did it know that she was watching it? It was like a snake, it was. Long and thing and could see things from all around. And yet she trailed on behind it, watching the green.

After a few minutes of padding toward a meal, he'd forgotten to keep his tail in check and it was now wagging freely. The male halted suddenly and crouched down with a low growl. Up ahead was a small herd of antelope. He licked his chops unconsciously and turned his head to Muujiza. "Ready?" He asked jerking his head toward the herd.

There it was! It was wagging again, oh yes. She watched it with even deeper fascination. So intensely was she staring at it that she hardly noticed Nyack's abrupt stop, and it was only when she almost ran into him that she, too, halted. "Huh?" She looked around. Where was she? Then she spied the antelope, and nodded. "Oh, right. Yea," She nodded eagerly, though she couldn't help but find herself shooting occasional glances to that curious tail of his.

Since it was apparent her A.D.D. was going to keep her distracted during the hunt, he forced his tail to lay steady on the ground. There... A younger antelope with a slight limp. It must have gotten its foot caught in a rock. Perfect, the two of them could take it easy if the other's stayed out of the way. "Hey, see that little one with the bad foot? I think we can bring him down. Circle the other way."
