After that great meeting with Malchai, Mocha was left to ponder her feelings. Malchai confounded her on levels no other male had before, and she didn't know very many males... yet. She would try her hardest. Cheerful as always, she began to hum a familiar Soquili song to herself as she walked along. Feeling decidedly alone, she relaxed a bit, but not so much that she would be caught and surprised. She continued to hum.

Again, the french stallion was faced with snow. He didnt like it at all. He wasnt sure at first, he thought he could overlook and possibly ignore it.. But he had since changed his mind. Snow was stupid, and cold, and the stallion could hardly stand it.
He scanned the area, unsure of what exactly he was looking for. Giving a huff that was so him, he snorted.

Mocha was too busy to notice that she had company; she was too busy having fun in the snow; it was new for her; she'd never seen the cold, white fluffiness before. Grinning to herself, she began to prance around like a filly within it; cold, but fun to play with. It was interesting, after all, and hey, she hadn't had fun in a while.

JC looked over, wondering what the commotion was about when he as so miserable. Someone was enjoying themselves, that much was sure. He began to walk up to the mare, somewhat nervous as she looked like she was having too much of a good time to want to talk much.
"Hello?"

She let out a startled cry when a stallion suddenly appeared. "Ack! Oh, hello!" she said, shaking her mane from the snow that had dropped down on her from a tree branch. "You surprised me." She smiled, look the stallion up and down for a moment, and then introduced herself. "Nice to meet you! I'm Mocha." Already, she had another stallion friend! She hoped.

"Do forgive me. I seem to startle everyone lately." He said, with his words holding a bounce of a laugh hidden in the syllables. He gave a bow, dipping his head low, causing a black mass of curls to fall over his face. As he stood, they bounced back in place and he smiled, his own, fangy smile. 'Jean-Claude, and it is a pleasure to meet you Mocha."

She tried not to laugh. "Um... if you're trying to impress me by being suave, that's not something you can impress me with," she informed, feeling slightly embarrassed to be bowed at. "I'm not royalty or anything, you know. Just a regular Wind mare, out to enjoy the world." She finally smiled, however, when she saw that it was now lightly snowing. "Pleasure to meet you, Jean-Claude. How can I help you?" She tried to ignore the fangs he so obviously showed off in a gleaming smile.

"Ma cherie, I try to impress no one. I assure you. I am a pure gentleman, and its mere habit to bow to mares. Forgive me if I offended you."
He nodded to the mare, smiling. Help him with? Nothing. He merely wanted to talk. But he wasnt sure if this mare was the talking type. She seemed sweet. She had a nice air about her..
But he couldnt put his hoof on this nagging feeling.
"I wanted nothing but some company for the impending evening. I was somewhat lonely, and saw an opportunity to talk to a fellow Soquili."

She blinked, and concern drew over her usually happy expression. "Lonely? Why do you feel like that? No family? Or a girlfriend?" Mentally she wished Malchai was her boyfriend, but he was a stallion of few words and she wasn't really sure if he even felt that way towards her at all. Ah, well.
"No, it's okay! You didn't offend me, just surprised me. I've never had a stallion bow to me before, so, uh... yeah." She blushed lightly with embarrassment, and then returned to smiling. "So, just some company? Well, I can do that. What kind of things do you like to do, Jean-Claude?" she asked, feel curious.

"Ah, the dreaded question." He said with a smile to her no family or friend question. He shook his head, black curls bouncing.
"No I do not. I am alone.. Or more so lately than ever before. Im new here, and not too familiar with this territory.
You have some strange customs, I dare say, and it confuses me.. So Im afraid I havent had time for either."
He nodded his head.
"I am a born and bred gentleman. I bow to every fine lady. Bubt as of your question of hobbies, I find I am very hobby-less at the moment."

If it was possible for a mare, Mocha would have rose an eyebrow at Jean-Claude, amazed to hear that he literally did nothing. He had no family, no friends... what was all that about? "New? Well, you're not the only one," she agreed. "I've seen many, many new Soquili suddenly arriving here; it was almost like a mass movement!" She said, joking a bit. "Strange customs? I suppose we do, but then again, doesn't everyone have something strange about them?" she cocked her head in a cute little way, and then laughed. "So you are. No hobbies, eh? Well, let's sort through what you think you might have; say, something that you think you might enjoy?"

"I enjoy beauty.. and peace if you will. I like to be by myself." He didnt add that it would change drastically if he was in Nostalgia's presence. He adored her, and would spend an eternity with her.
"Peace is a virtue.. One I hold very dear. But how about you miss? What hobbies do you have?"
He asked, cocking his own head and brushing a curl from his eye with a puff of breath.

Mocha blushed hotly as she recalled what she had been thinking of lately. "Well, my current hobby is to discover where snow came from, but..." She looked down, a little embarrassed, but maybe she could trust this stallion; after all, you couldn't make friends without a little trust. "...I have a crush on this Wind stallion, but I don't think he feels the same."
She actually wasn't very sure if it was a crush, because she really liked Malchai. However, Malchai seemed unreachable because he seemed like he liked her, but only in a friendly, sisterly kind of way; at least, that's what it felt like. She looked down, feeling very much like a child. "...Um, forget what I said. Anyway, my hobbies are making friends and discovering new things."

"A crush you say? Well darling, crushes are good for many things.. Helps you weed out the good from the bad. You dont life mate to someone you dont know.. "
He smiled.
"The one you love, and the one who loves you, is never the same." He said, quoting someone he couldnt quite catch the name of.

She gave him a surprised look as well as a confused one. "What? I'm afraid I don't understand," she said, embarrassed yet again. This stallion sounded so much more mature than her. "Well, yes, a crush." She flushed darkly as she avoided eye contact. "What do you mean when you say it "helps you weed out the good from the bad", Jean-Claude?"
Mocha grew tired of saying a long name, and looked at him, her blush gone, as she cocked her head curiously. "Can I just call you Jean? I'm not sure if you can give me a nickname, because my name is really short, but can I call you that?" she looked at him oddly as he said something that was so contradictory and seemed like nonsense that all she could do was offer a confused look.
