Despite the fact that FFVII came out about nine or ten years ago, how many of us have actually beaten it?
I myself beat the game years ago, the real trick was finally killing ruby weapon.

Yup.. U_U but the REAL trick is to Beat Emerald... that one is the hardest one to !!!!!!

O_o... I think Emerald is thoughter than Ruby... Ruby is just a matter of a few KotR some Skill Materia and a Fire*-Elemental paired materia... it took me like 3 hours to kill Emerald...
And about the Lucky Sevens... i think the best way to get it is escaping 1111 times and use Chocobo-blow on your party... i guess...

It depends on how you approach the two weapons really.
In all reality, Ruby is harder than Emerald, and it was meant to be that way. But some people find strategies that make Ruby easy, but fight Emerald the old fashion way. As mentioned by thonek, its all about the technique.
Ruby has his weaknesses and so does Emerald. What makes Ruby seem easier is that people find his weaknesses faster than Emeralds. That's all. I myself have found a rather simple way to beat both of them WITHOUT any cheats such as GameShark codes.

No Emerald hes this ability called Air Tam Stream I believe, and it does damage 1111*the amount of materia that person has eqquiped to all your people. So simple get all your parties hp to 9999, and heal til he uses that ability with 2 materia on all you people. Done correctly your whole party will have 7777 hp and go into lucky sevens. Ruby I had elemental paired with fire on my armor, w-summon, knights of the round paired with hp absorb(which healed my for 10000+hp after every cast, and ultima paired with mp aborb to ensure I always had MP, lastly I had mime.

I'm playing it right now, I haven't finish it yet but I'm close to the end. I just have to beat Sephiroth(... He's really hard) and Im not sure what kinds of weapon I have beaten.

The easiest way to beat Sephiroth is to equip 'Ribbons' to your entire party. There are only two you can get in the storyline. But if you missed them, you can always morph Tonberries into them. That is difficult but it really really helps.
