History of Changelings smile In the past Changelings, or shape shifters as they are sometimes called, were a guardian race, serving as the hidden protection of royalty and each other. Then came the Grate Wars, which devastated our world. The Changelings, as loyal servants of the kings were sect into battle as assassins. Soon death and pain became the dominating idea when a changeling was mentioned. And above all else, fear. cry The people began hunting and killing the changelings in the hopes of protecting themselves. It soon became a rarity to see a changeling walking the streets of the cities. They hid themselves as the accent Dragons did. And with all their centuries of secrecy they are rumored to have never lost the purity of their blood or the ability to blend forms. To this day there are hunters still and the fear still freezes the soul of the unforgiving world. whee Having watched her family being hunted and murdered as a child, one young changeling adopted the form of a mountain cat, as black as the night itself, in order to shelter herself from the cruelty of men. Though try as she might the reach of man extends even to the darkest forests of the earth, and there are those who hunt for prey other then that which is Changelings. 3nodding The time passed and the young changeling grew fond of a girl who left a bole of food at the base of a rowan tree every night. The girl also grew fond of the creature she saw as a simple mountain cat and an everlasting friendship was formed. Even the revelation of the changeling true identity didn’t harm their eternal bond.

Gryphons, not unlike changelings have been feared for centuries but many believe them to be merely myth. Myth also states that a large aerie is located in the cliffs by the Western Sea, where they loved to swim and fish, but those that traveled there to find these creatures never returned. That is until one changeling, fleeing hunters, trespassed on the gryphons' territory. Luckly for her one of the scouts defended her case in front of the others pleading that she not be killed; no one would listen to a changeling much less believe one that claimed to have seen gryphons. The others refused to pardon the changeling and decided to punish the gryphon for defending the intruder. They were both bound in one of the many caves dotting the cliffs to await execution the next morning. The changeling, having seen how the gryphon was willing to risk her life for her changed into a grasshopper, slipping the ropes. She then hopped over the ropes and turned into her human/leopard form and slashed the gryphon's bonds. Still worn out from her escape from the hunters, the changling passed out from exhastion. The gryphon carefully draped the changling across her back and took off, heading for the east while the others were sleeping. The pair traveled together to the changeling's home, hidden deep in a forest where no one could find them. The gryphon made herself a home in a nearby cave and occasionally visits her new friend.

There Is no Race to describe Countes Pyrotika for she comes from a long line that has long since died out. She Appears human, she has wings but she can call on them whenever she wants to. Growing up in this world has been hard for her. She's been captured, tortured, almost everything imaginable. If you ask about her past she'll tell you everyhting she can but mostly she just tries to block it out and move along with life....Some say she's mysterious. She prefers not to be judged. Now-a-days you can find her doing whatever she pleases...If you would like to talk to her just think of her and she'll be there.
As her powers grow, She gets stronger and more resistant to things. A few years ago she learned that art od darkmatter and with it came an alter personality....Evangaline...She is every opposite of Pyrotika.

"Dekuto was the most loving, selfless, mysterious, kind, romantic gentleman in all the lands. He was a Lord of his once was a cathedral; but became his home. For years he has been searching for true love. A lot of woman wished to be chosen, but they seemed the same in his eyes. Only one woman stood out; she was somewhat mysterious like him. He was also somewhat a flirt, but in a respective way; he would compliment her. He would send her roses and visit her in the middle of the night, when ever he could.
One night he had proposed to her. She had told him that she would say yes it she could, but she was ordered by her parents to marry another man. He felt somewhat depressed, and he never returned. She missed him dearly, and wished to see him again. She had left one night, the moon was full, and showed her the way. She had ran and pushed open the doors to the cathedral and saw him sitting on his throne. She had told him that she wanted to be with him, and not with the man that her parents were forcing her to marry. But without her knowing it, the man had followed her and heard every word that they had said to one another. He knew that if he wanted to marry her that he would have to get Dekuto out of the picture.
He had paid a beggar to dress like Dekuto and steal the ring he was going to give to the woman. A few guards had seen the figure of a person wearing a cape, but never really knew who it was. A couple days have passed; it was the engagement party and Dekuto was invited. The beggar had snuck close enough to place the ring in his pocket. The man made an announcement that last night; someone had stolen the ring he was going to give to his future wife. He had described the figure and the only person it matched was Dekuto. He was arrested and sent to jail. He was in there so long, that he missed the wedding; he believed it was too late. A day later, after the wedding, he was released from jail. He felt separated and restricted from the woman he had fallen in love with. But no matter what, nothing kept them apart. Dekuto was happy to see her, and she was happy to see him. Every night when her husband was asleep, she would sneak out and go see Dekuto.
But one night, her husband had a feeling that she was betraying him with Dekuto. So he faked being asleep and waited until she had left the room. He had sent an assassin to follow her, and if she was going to see Dekuto. He had told the assassin, if she is truly betraying me, wait until she leaves, and wait until he goes to sleep, then kill him and stain his bed with his blood! So that’s what the assassin did. Followed her, and found out that what he said was right. She left and he snuck in and killed Dekuto while he was sleeping. When the assassin stabbed him, his eyes open wide to a black figure standing above him and a dagger sticking out of his chest. He began to cough out blood and felt his life slowly slipping away. The only thing left on his mind as he slowly died was the woman he fell in love with.
When his love had returned home, he was awake, and was waiting for her. Him and his wife argued to the point were he drove a knife through her heart. In the morning, the guards found him sitting by the dead body of his wife. The guards had taken him away, and he was convicted of murder, and was hung a few days later.
Dekuto’s body still lays alone in the cathedral with the assassin’s dagger still in his chest. The other worldly beings let him stay on earth, so he could try and find his love once again.
For staying on Earth, his body isn't used to be still among the living. When he is alone, his body fluctuates from being half dead and half living. It also causes him pain. So when people rest, they can hears a cry of the living dead." **See picture in Character Profiles**

"I started out as delivery boy for an assassins guild that took me in after my village was destroyed by demons. I swore to myself if i ever became stronger, I'd get revenge for my village and slay every demon that ever lived. Day after day, my only job was to deliver letters and to deliver red, black or white roses that all symbolized something. I was never told what they meant, but they said it would make the guilds lives easier. One day, after I was excused from work, I followed an assassin and hid within his carriage. I had awaken to a halt, and snuck out. He was at a camp outside of town a few hours away. A man had walked out of tent and walked to wards the assassin. They began to talk, so I walked closer. I never really heard what they were saying, but I could tell the man who lived at the campsite was begging for mercy. The assassin stabbed him with some weird dagger and threw a white rose onto his body. The assassin turned in my direction and walked toward me. He kneed down and looked into my eyes. He had told me, "Red roses are for the ladies.....who we assassinate.....Black roses are for the ones we despise the most....and, last but not least....the white roses represent the people who have lied and betrayed us...." He had stood up and turned his back before me. He held the dagger to his chest, like he was about to kill himself. But before he did anything, he said to me. "You, young one, are a true assassin. You will be trained to the fullest, for your natural skills are interesting to the guild, and will be useful to us.. I told the guild I would take my last assignment, and take my leave. No one from our guild must walk out alive....once you are done service....you must take your life, for the sake of the guild......fare thee well, young assassin." He had stabbed himself, right infront of my eyes. From then on, I had trained and trained with every guild member, even the leaders.....I had become the most powerful assassin in the guild. Although one was jealous of my abilities.
A few years later, I had turned the age of 24, and I had been given a hard task. I had been hired to protect a man named Lethogar. The both of us were to work together, to slay a demon who had terrified the people, that the assassins and the Unholy guardian guilds protected.
They did find this demon but the funny twist was, they ended up becoming allies with this demon. She was innocent, never caused any harm to anyone. Her name was...Midoriko Kuronew, a water demon, the last, water demon."
History done by Midoriko Kuronew.
