Tsai Shen was doing what he did second-best. Charming an audience. What did he do best? Annoying people. However, at the moment, he was captivating them with a tale of his time in Fire Nation, when he and his Aunt defeated a group of three thugs. Well, he defeated one, and she the other two. But that wasn't the point. The point was, he was getting free drinks as he sat on a wooden barrel by the docks, his playful voice expressive as he gesticulated wildly.

"... But when he went to pin her against the wall, she planted a foot against his knee, and lept upwards to hook him around the neck with her opposite ankle, flipping him to the ground!"

As long as the gifts and attention kept flowing, the handsome teen had hundreds of tales to tell.

Ina was listening, mouth agape with wonder. Not only had he conquered all these guys, but he was a brilliant storyteller as well. Slowly, she edged closer, eyeing him curiously. He may perhaps have enough stories to fill the rest of the book! ...of course, then she'd just get another book. She had a couple already. One day she'd have hundreds of them all filled with the stories she'd been told over the years.

The girl waited for him to finish so that she could perhaps corner him for more tales if he seemed to be stopping.

A few short minutes later, Tsai Shen took his last swallow out of a mug, and handed it over to it's original owner, grinning as he ended that particular story.

"... And after all that, all she had to say was 'That b*****d broke my nail.'"

A round of appreciative chuckles for his Aunt warmed the air, and the 6'2" youth pushed off of the barrel, strolling toward a massive ship as it was being unloaded. What was coming off of it? Hopefully something pretty. Tsai Shen loved sparkly things.

Ina followed him quietly for a bit. Just until he slowed down enough for her to corner him. She noticed he'd been heading for her parents' ship, and grinned,
"Are you boarding?" she asked, "On my parent's ship? Or just looking?"

She managed to catch up and walk next to him,
"Do you have any other stories, by the way? I can make it worth it if you do."

"Worth it, eh?"

Tsai Shen raised an eyebrow at the tomboyish girl, and grinned that charming smile of his, stopping mid-stride. What did she have to offer? Unlike a lot of wealthy people, he knew that EVERYONE had SOMETHING. He didn't need money, that was for sure, but perhaps she had something else?

"I have a million stories to satisfy the hunger of a charming gal like yourself!"

But back to her original question.

"No, I'm not boarding. Just looking at the fares. Your parents' ship, mmmn? You must know plenty of tales yourself, then!"

The girl nodded,
"Oh yes. I have books full of the tales I've collected," she said, "One day I'll know them all."

Wouldn't that be grand? To know every story there was, and be able to tell all the most exciting ones? Perhaps she'd be famous if she did!

"I also have a lot of interesting items I collect too, though I don't know if any of them would appeal to you."

Tsai Shen was definately interested. Such items were usually one of a kind, and rather charming, grinning, he brushed hair from his face, uncovering his scar even more and nodded slowly.

"I think that's an admirable goal. I'm Tsai Shen, and I'm eager to make a trade with you."

Tapping his chin, he looked almost thoughtful.

"What sort of tale would you like?"

Ina held out a hand for him to shake,
"I'm Ina," she said, imitating him and brushing her own dark hair behind one ear as well as adjusting the straw hat on her head,
"Oh, everything. As I said, I want to hear them all someday."

She tilted her head thoughtfully,
"But if only one, then perhaps an adventure story. Those are my favourite."

After shaking it with a large, warm hand, Tsai Shen grinned, and wagged a slim finger at her, leaning against a stack of crates. Thinking, his eyes widened slightly, and he nodded.

"I shall tell you a tale, yet not an adventure like you were hoping."

Taking a seat, he crossed his ankles, stretched his arms behind his head, and yawned, before leaning forward, gaze intense.

"A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand: 'TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.'

They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one, who had been slapped, got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After the friend recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone: 'TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.'

The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, 'After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?'

The other friend replied: 'When someone hurts us, we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it.' "

Clearing his throat, he lost his storytelling demeanor, and grinned, jumping down from the crates.

"How's that?"

Ina giggled, clapping her hands,
"Oh, that is a lovely story nonetheless."

She went over it a few times in her mind so that she'd have it all correct when she wrote it down in her book that evening, as well as the other story he'd told her,
"Well, would you like to see my trinkets, then? You could pick one out rather than just getting whatever I find."

She had quite a few types of interesting objects gathered. Mostly antiques of some kind or the other, but also pretty hair clips and combs and some interesting other items that were particularly shiny or pretty.

For once, Tsai Shen wasn't intrigued by the shiny objects. Instead, his brow slowly crept upward at the idea of an antique. Something old, powerful, in it's own way.

"Do you have anything that will come with a story for me?"

She tilted her head thoughtfully,
"I have a few items I got in rather interesting circumstances, if that counts. Nothing you'd find in historic tales or anything, though. It's a little hard to find the really exciting stuff when you're not the one directing the boat."

One day, perhaps, she'd have her own boat and then she could go wherever she pleased, seek out the treasures of the world! That would truly be fantastic.

The girl motioned towards the boat itself,
"They're all in my chambers there, I can show you, if you like."
