 I think one of my animals changed his saying on his own. He used to say something that he got from his previous town (Hallows). Suddenly he started saying 'chaps' all the time. I didn't tell him to and no other animal in town says it.
How did that happen?!

maybe he got it from someone in his old town. I think that happened to my cousin after someone in my town moved to his and started saying something that people say in my town. I didnt talk to tat animal that much though so I don't know.

lol, it happens ALL the time in my town smile The thing is the animals talk to each other, and so they also exchange sayings.

It happens in mine all the time... of course they always end up saying the most annoying things. Everyone calls me "bucko" now too. xp

Rod started calling me Dumbell. I don't like it.
Also, phrases or sentence-enders I've given some of my neighbors get passed along to other ones. I told Tangy to say, "purr", since she's a cat, and Lobo started doing it, and he's a wolf. xp

That happened with my characters, too, Euonym.
Rocco used to call me "hippie" all the time, then he asked for a different name, so I put "sexy", now I keep getting called sexy by Hugh, also.
It can be rather distracting :3

My animals are forever exchanging sayings. It was very weird to see Rasher suddenly saying "Mew" one day!

I get good names though. Mine's either Bunny, or Dr. N.
