Basically, a luckless magician is the strongest type of magician in attack.

Pros:
- About 1.5-2 times stronger than a regular magician
- Good at KSing the KSers
- Show offing smile
- Looks n00bish (if you think its a pro)
- Gets parties from high level people (if you think its a pro)
Cons:
- Luckless, as in cannot wear most magician clothes
- Some people hate you for KSing
- Looks n00bish (if you think its a con)
- Gets parties from high level people (if you think its a con)

So if you didn't know, magicians need 2 things. INT (intelligence) and LUC (luck). INT is what determines their magic power, so the more you have, the stronger you are. And the LUC is what lets them wear their magician clothes and lets them dodge attacks (somewhat). So a luckless magician is a magician without LUC. He puts everything in INT. This is quite easy to do since you become a magician at level 8. But since you don't have LUC, you are forced to wear "All Class" clothes which n00bs usually wear. But as you get stronger, you'll be wearing different looking clothes. Of course, if you have NX Cash you can buy things that won't make you n00bish. Anyways, on to the guide.

Reminders Before Anything VERY IMPORTANT:

- Remember, this is a luckless magician, every AP (ability point) goes to INT, don't put any AP into anything else.

- This is just a guide for becoming a luckless magician, so only from level 1-30.

Creating the Character:

First of all, when making your character, give it either a club or an axe. Then for stats, do not do the popular thing and have STR and DEX at 4, get your INT as high as you can, which is 13. The lowest you should settle for is 10.

Maple Island:

Now, once you get on Maple Island, do all the quests until you get to a part where you have to fight sentinals and get some quest piece. Even if you get that quest piece, keep fighting them until level 3 or 4. Then go finished any quests from there to the part you meet some lady in Blonde Hair who looks similar to the person in the first quest who was doing the laundry and gave you the mirror. Anyways, do her quest, you get a hat. Dont do any other quests. Now, in that blonde lady's quest, you need to go to some town and talk to an old guy. Before you talk to him, talk to this fat chubby kid with a tool box you'll meet, I think his name is Pio or Peo. Anyways, finish the chubby kid's and blonde lady's quest. When you finish the chub's quest, dont be tricked. Talk to him again. And one more time. He'll give you a chair that will be very useful to you. You can pull it out and sit on it and it heals you 50 HP every 10 seconds... I think. Dont bother doing any other quest besides those 2. So fight and fight until you're level 8. Also, try not to buy anything, maby a razor if you're very weak. If you are very tired and stuff and your not at level 8 yet (kinda surprising) then go on to Victoria Island and fight the snails or slimes in the Hunting Grounds, West of Henesys.

Skill Points :

Dont put anything in your skills until you've become an official magician (next section). Once you have become an official magician, try level to level 9, then whatever skill points you have for those 3 beginner skills (3 Snail Toss Thing, Recovery, and Feather Whatever) Put it all on Recovery. If you have any left, all on Feather Whatever. If you have any left (which I doubt) then put it on 3 Snail Toss Thing.

Becoming a Magician:

Once becoming level 8 (You MUST become magician at level 8, don't go beyond that level yet), journey to Victoria Island . Once at Lith Harbor, go straight to the guy at the ticket place (next to the ship you just entered) and pay about 100 mesos to go to a place called Ellinia. This place is very big and I dunno why they couldn't shorten it, this is probably one of the least places visited along with Perion. Anyways, climb all the way to the top (ALL the way!) and you'll find a big tower thingie... When you enter, you'll see a floating guy who looks like someone from LotR. Talk to him and eventually you'll become a magician. He'll give you some more MP (Mana/Magic Points) and new skills available. Now, be careful, put that skill point on your Energy Bolt. The reason I'm putting this in here is because it is VERY important. Now fight and fight with that Energy Bolt. If you are rich, I suggest you buy 100 blue potions just to help you with your first few levels. Now, look at the skill points section to know what will make it easier for you.

Skill Points:

For the first few levels, you are gonna need some Blue Potions 'cause they're gonna drain you.

08: Energy Bolt + 1
09: Magic Claw + 3
10: Improving MP Recovery +3
11: Improving MP Recovery +1, Improving Max MP Increase +2
12: Improving Max MP Increase +3
13: Improving Max MP Increase +3
14: Improving Max MP Increase +2, Energy Bolt +1
15: Magic Claw +3
16: Magic Claw +3
17: Magic Claw +1, Save 2 SP
18: Save 3 SP
19: Save 3 SP
20: Magic Claw +10, Improving MP Recovery +1
21: Improving MP Recovery +3
22: Improving MP Recovery +3
23: Improving MP Recovery +3
24: Improving MP Recovery +1, Magic Guard +2
25: Magic Guard +3
26: Magic Guard +3
27: Magic Guard +3
28: Magic Guard +3
29: Magic Guard +3
30: Magic Guard +3

Improving Max MP Increase: 10 (maxed)
Energy Bolt: 1
Improving MP Recovery: 16 (maxed)
Magic Claw: 20 (maxed)
Magic Guard: 20 (maxed)

(Somewhat of this has been taken from Kenson)

How to Fight:

Now, this is how to fight with a luckless magician. You will only fight with Energy Bolt at level 8 to get to level 9. Then you will fight from there on with Magic Claw. When you are in the 9-15 levels, you are gonna figure out some combos you can do with Magic Claw and Energy Bolt so you save MP. Also, you are gonna need some Blue Potions in the earlier levels because your MP Increasement will be very slow. As you get get stronger, you won't need potions, unless you are KSing nonstop. When you get stronge, your skill, Imp. MP Rec., will be high and once you run out of MP, you just sit on a chair for a minute and you get your MP back, great time to get a snack, watch TV, take a bathroom break, etc. Now for Magic Guard, it is only for people who get hit alot... This is when you are about to die (and you're too poor to buy HP potions...) you use this and all damage you get goes towards your MP. Kinda useless because you can just use HP potions. If you fighting hard monsters you'll die anyways... But Magic Armor is super useless.

What to Wear:

Weapon - Get the weakest wand in Ellinia, Wooden Wand. Then at level 43, you can equip a Maple Lama Staff. Then the best you can get (i think) is a Black Umbrella. But you need at least 6 STR, INT, DEX, and LUC.
Shield - Panlid, don't settle for a Wooden Fence, buy a Panlid from other users.
Top - Use one of those level 11 shirts from Lith Harbor.
Bottom - Use Ice Jeans or Sand Blasted Jeans from Lith, than get Camo Pants from Henesys.
Gloves - Use Work Gloves from sythesizing in Kerning, then get Yellow Work Gloves from other users.
Earrings - Wear whatever but try to get earrings with INT+ or Magic Attack, if not, get ones with high W.Def.
Cape - Same with earrings.
Shoes - Wear whatever you want, but at level 26 use those Whitebottom Shoes from Henesys. If you want, at level 31, buy Sneakers from Henesys, but Sneakers don't have the Speed + that the Whitebottom shoes do.
Hat - At level 10, get the White Bandana, then at 15 get the Metal Gear, both can be found at Lith Harbor. There are many hats you can wear and here is list starting from the best to the worst, even though the worst is really good.
1. Zakum Helmet (1) - STR +15 (13-17), DEX +15 (13-17), INT +15 (13-17), LUK +15, Accuracy +20 (17-23), Avoidability +20 (17-23)
2. Zakum Helmet (3) - STR +6, DEX +6, INT +6, LUK +6, Accuracy +6, Avoidability +6
3. Zakum Helmet (2) - STR +4, DEX +4, INT +4, LUK +4, Accuracy +4, Avoidability +4
4. Maple Bandana Blue - STR +3, INT +3, DEX +3, LUK +3
5. Maple Bandana Red - STR +2, INT +2, DEX +2, LUK +2
6. Black Starry Bandana - INT +2
7. Maple Bandana Yellow - STR +1, INT +1, DEX +1, LUK +1
8. Black Bandana - INT +1 (0-3)
Those are hats with INT +, if you can't get a hold of any of these, the strongest W.Def. hat that is not any of these is the Scary Monster Hat with 42 W.Def. but Zakum Helmet (1) has 150.

THE END!!! W00H!!!

I maxed Improving Max MP Increase first biggrin It's good now that there's Henesys PQ. If there's a lurer, you can just sit there and wait until you level.

Also why do you have to save the SP? I just put it on everytime I level o.0
