A friend sent me a notice from Borders, I read it on Mugglenet, and Jo announced it herself on her website. The next HP book will be called:
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Sounds kind of dooming, doesn't it?

I must admit that I rather like the new title, and perhaps it is for that reason.
Whenever the last book is released, I am cutting off all contact with HP fans either online or offline. The last three books have have the deaths spoiled for me and I won't have the last one done the same way.

The title fits seeing as to how we all know what it basically going to happen.Fantasy Moon Whenever the last book is released, I am cutting off all contact with HP fans either online or offline. The last three books have have the deaths spoiled for me and I won't have the last one done the same way. It's understandable that you would do that. I don't like that that all the good characters are dying! I just don't like it!

When the new book is released, I will be at the local Barnes and Noble, trying to be the first in line to get it and then not sleeping until I have it finished, like I did with the last two. Then I will be keeping my mouth shut and my fingers under control like I did with the last two to keep from divulging spoilers.

I like the sound of that title. Now I can only hope that what I thought should have happened books ago will finally happen (though, now that I'm thinking about it, it makes sense as to why it hasn't happened yet, since I think there was a method to the people that were attacked [maybe]...)
This is coming out, when, next year? I plan to sit down like I did with book six and read until I'm done. ^ ^ No disruptions for me this time (unlike book six, where I had to go somewhere when I was about a chapter from the end...)!
It's terrible when people spoil the books.

They had that stupid prank someone pulled when the last time, where someone drove up to a bunch of people standing in line for the new book and revealed who died and who killed them. I would've been furious. Luckily I wasn't spoiled on any occasion. I did spoil the death in book 5 for a friend of mine, but that was after book 6 had already come out and I had no idea he hadn't gotten around to reading it.

My dad told me about that thing with the spoiler at the bookstore. I was all like "Oh no he di-int!" rofl
But, seriously, I'm currently slapping myself in the face because (although I have read all the ones currently released) I don't own all of them and the ones I do own are stretched out through the series.

In the last book my friend forgot I hadn't finished it and when I was at her house talking about the book she said "poor, poor [insert name here for those of you who haven't read it which I'm sure isn't anyone but better safe than sorry]"
I don't get into the Harry Potter books as much as some people so I take my time reading them so I am always one of the last people to know what happens to who.

I have mixed feelings about the title. When I first read about it, I thought it was kind of lame, honestly. Now, I'm relatively indifferent to the title, but I'm trying to figure out if it actually makes sense. Hallow is a verb, meaning to make holy.
I can't wait for the next book. In a way, I hope that Harry dies, because otherwise it would be entirely possible for Rowling to continue writing sequel after sequel. After all, the Harry Potter books are wildly popular, and it's highly unlikely that that much money won't turn a person greedy.

I put the character's name in white just in case. I think JK's going to have to kill Harry and Voldemort in the last book. They'll kill eachother off. That's what I think's going to happen. Like the title. Laters.

That would indeed be the most logical way for the series to end. I'm hoping it ends that way.

Did anyone else think of Bleach when they heard the title?

Yeah, I did think of Bleach so you're not alone. Not going online to talk about Harry Potter sounds very wise to me, I'll even hermit myself from my friends so I don't have a chance (at least from the ones that would blab about whoever will die). If I had been there when they spoiled who died I would probably have chased after the car. Don't bother trying to use logic with that scenario, I usually don't.
I've heard several interesting theories online, some more plausible than others. I know whoever is going to die, except Voldy, that I'll bawl my eyes out. Knowing me, I'll probably get to that characters death and become so wigged out that I throw the book vowing never to read anything she writes ever again. Only to pick up the 7th book 5 minutes later and not put it down until I stop.
