Well, Hiei's affinity for sweets isn't canon since you never really see or hear about him eating in the anime or manga. However, it's a very popular idea in fanfic and people just passed the idea along smile

It isn't mentioned in the series.... and I don't read fanfics so I guess that's why i've never heard of it. The only things Hiei are interested in are comitting crimes and protecting his sister. ;p
